    I got this kick ass Bauer Total one... I know it is an older stick but my friend Ben hooked me up on the clearance rack and sent it my way... the stick is the lightest stick have ever had...like I mean ever... I could never afford a stick like this so I am super grateful for this transaction... Anyways the stick was already cut down... my friend Ben isn't as tall as I am... I am 6'0 and needed to add a bit to the length of the stick.. no issue at all.. I had a wooden extension laying around and this video shows you how to install it... hope it helps

    Does that glue usually hold up for you? My extension didn't want to stay until I added a bunch of gorilla glue and now it's solid.

    Hey man, awesome video! I noticed that on the inlinewarehouse sight they say that if adding an extension to a vapour or supreme stick get a rounded corner extension. However I live in New zealand and can only get the original square end extension. Will it make a difference? I have a Total One Nxg, thanks!

    • @Uppercornerhockey
      @Uppercornerhockey  10 років тому

      the extension I used was a wooden one and it had rounded edges... if you get a wooden extension... you could always round off the edges with some sand paper... let me know if that helps... thanks for the compliment on the video --- Brent

    I just bought an APX2 and being overly exuberant when it finally arrived in the mail I cut it down a bit shorter than I would like, although I do hope I can adjust to the length by using deeper knee bend. Just in case though I bought an APX2 extension plug that is 4" in length. I was wondering is it possible to cut down the extension plug as I really only need about an inch and a half to two inches (if I even go through with extending the stick), or would it be better to cut 2" more off my stick and then insert the new plug? Thanks.

    • @Uppercornerhockey
      @Uppercornerhockey  9 років тому

      yes you can totally cut down the plug no issues... they are made to be cut down after you install the plug... congrats on the apx2... it is an amazing stick... i love mine! --- Brent

    • @Uppercornerhockey
      @Uppercornerhockey  9 років тому

      well it is also easy to measure it when it is installed as well as it is a lot easier to cut as well with it installed in the hockey stick... stay safe and most hockey shops will do this for you as well minimal charge --- Brent

    How do you get a piece of wood out of an existing shaft? Not sure how far down it goes when I cut it. Thanks.

    • @Uppercornerhockey
      @Uppercornerhockey  5 років тому

      what you will want to do is... drill a small hole... like a pre drilled hole... then get a long wood screw and drill it into the wood... don't screw the screw all the way in.. make sure it's like a long screw like 2 inches or more... and then put the screw half way sticking out and lock it in a vice grip if you have or you can even close a door a bit... if it has hot glue on it make sure you heat up the shaft a bit to warm to loosen the glue and then pull ... it should come right out... hope that helps

      +Uppercornerhockey if I put on an extension does it affect the flex like an 80 flex and by how much

    • @Uppercornerhockey
      @Uppercornerhockey  8 років тому

      most of your flex starts from the middle of your stick to the end of the hosel (where the blade starts at the heel) Even with sticks with the lowest of kick points in the shaft the stick flexes around your lower hand. So it won't effect the flex of the stick. it will make it weigh more though but not much pending on what insert you get. Hope this helps --- Brent
