Great video steve. Love the underwater footage. have to get a set of trebles in that water wolf and paint it in trout colours😂. Know u like your trout deadbait.
Cheers John, yeah I couldn’t understand what happened when I got the run until I watched the footage. Think I may request the next waterwolf have those trebles. 😂😂
The pike looked like they were blowing water on the bait to make it rise up before gobbling it. Amazing footage. It shows that for every gullible pike a couple of wary fish have a nose but don't bite. Fascinating stuff. Is there a lot of angling pressure there? Tight lines for next time
Yeah I’ve noticed them doing it a lot on these pressured waters. When I watched the footage on the bank I immediately changed to a popped up bait, but still no joy. In some ways great to watch in other ways is a killer when you know you were so close. 😂
Inside I was screaming but I’ve a few kids that watch the videos and I’m trying to be conscious of loosing the head. 😂😂 now if I hadn’t have had a fish already that probably would have been a different story.
Great video you have put on here. I do like to get out when i can but health problems restrict me quite a lot now, be great to know where it is as i am in Mayo.
@@FishingwithSteveIreland cheers pal, I switch between both during the winter months, but mostly carp.. my pike fishing has took a back seat of lately.. should try put more effort in
Thanks glad you enjoyed the video. Yeah I’d highly recommend the deeper. It’s a great tool. I use it to map the lake more so than fish finding. You will pick up some fish on it but it could also be underwater snags. So I use the deeper for depths and structure and water temp.
I use Adobe Premiere Pro for all my editing. I’ve usually 6 different cameras with me on every episode that I will try to colour grade and match as best I can. So for that reason the Go Pro is usually set on either linear mode or wide at 60fps. I very rarely go to super wide as I don’t like the look of it. I use the insta 360 x3 on my pod for the shots of me playing the fish. That’s then reframed in edit. Insta360 released a re-framing plugin for Premiere Pro that works great.
Hope you enjoy this one lads. Not many more Deadbaiting trips left until I switch over to carping. So a bonus session like this is always welcome.
Love watching your videos always great to see new episode, what are you using with the boat to give you Sonar and depth and stuff?
@@JohnEarley-iq8yw thanks. I use the Deeper Pro+2 attached to my bait boat.
Amazing content! This was probably favorite so far! Thank you 👍
Thanks Chris 👍🏻 much appreciated, glad you’re enjoying the videos.

The alarm at the start of the video is the most horrific noise known to man
Only on a work day. On a fishing day it’s the sound of hope. 😂😂
Very calm when you lost that fish. 👏
Im a terrible potty mouth... 😄

@@FishingwithSteveIreland haven’t been out myself since the start of January. Heading out Saturday morning. Do a quick overnighter..
Tight lines for the weekend. Hopefully get out for another couple of Deadbaiting sessions myself before I switch over to the carping.

Great video, how do you find the deeper fish finder? Would you recommend investing in one?

That looks a lovely spot mate any chance you could message me the name of the lake?
Not going to say in public here but drop me an email to fishingwithsteve1@gmail.com and I'll give you a heads up.
Class, Great footage. I fished Cavan a few weeks ago using Bacon 🥓 worked a treat! Made a nice video myself, youre welcome to check it out. 😊
Checked out your bacon video. Great angling. I must give that a go myself if I can bring myself to not have it for breakfast first. 😂😂
@@FishingwithSteveIreland Thanks for the sub ✅ smell of bacon is definitely more appealing. 😄
