your instructions are impeccable: clear, slow, well thought, easy to follow, with no extra movement that could confuse. you're an amazing teacher. i have found the folding and assembly to be relatively easy. the hart part starts with the shaping. pulling, twisting, and rolling pedals requires a great amount of skill, finesse and a gentle touch to pull off. to shape it without tearing the paper on the creases. i noticed that using a wooden toothpick and pinching the creases when i shape helps me a lot.
Absolutey stellar tutorial. I’ve been folding for years but never at anything over beginner level; I like the simpler models for meditative purposes. For the longest time, static diagram instructions made me fee like this was too difficult for me but today, using this video, I nailed one first try. Thank you!
Thank you! I have tried and failed to make it so many times and your tutorial finally finally clicked! This is by far the clearest and easiest method out there to make the rose!
Thank you for making this tutorial, I've used it many times over the past few years. Especially when I am a little stressed and need something else to focus on.
Thanks for the video! On my first try I mistakenly rotated by 45° just prior to the folds at ~8:00 and ended up with a couple extra creases and had to go back and redo those. Also the fold at 14:40 was very challenging! I think I needed to make the creases at ~5:00 a bit sharper and wider. The little square on the inside ended up a bit crooked but thankfully that part was hidden inside. I enjoyed taking some creative liberty with curling the petals at the end. I used a rose patterned red paper and attached the finished product to a plastic rose stem. Very happy with the result, and so was my fiancé :)
Best origami tutorial I've seen, and I've struggled through a few! You've put in lots of hard work making this easy for people to follow. It's much appreciated! Thanks very much.
I'm more of a lurker on the internet, however your efforts and hard work deserve more recognition, I don't necessary recreate your tutorial, but watch them to remind myself that sometimes life is enjoyable on the slow pace in midst the mayhem we live in, Thank you very much, would love to know more about your journey with origami, maybe a draw my life,,
Excellent tutorial. I've been making these roses for a while and I probably would have done much better if this one was the first video I saw. The paper clip idea is genius.
It took me 2 hours... Not gonna lie at some time i could had cried and i don't know if it's still a rose... I thought it was easier 😅😂 still you are good at tutorials😊 i may have to rewatch this
Although this video is old, and my comment will be of no value, I would just like to point out that you did an amazing job here. This tutorial is so nice and clean that I managed to make the rose from the first try. I tried quite a few other tutorials, but they were much worse. You did a colossal job making this video. You are the Origami God herself :3
The 2nd part is actually easier then the first. I watched the first part for 10 over time before i can remember how to fold the crease. For the starting of the assembly, its much easier if you bend in the middle like a diamond shape.
Thank you for this easy to fallow tutorial of a gorgeous origami rose. You are the best with origami tutorials on u tube. May I ask if you can name the beautiful music in this video? I love to fold with music and especially your music selection😊
Eu gostei muito do seu vídeo, pois ele foi o único que fez com folha dupla face. Então para quem quer fazer com um papel dupla face, o vídeo ajudou muito. Obrigada.
At 21:22 how do you get each section to stay in place when you close them? whenever i do it they don't stay sturdy and crisp so the bottom is loose and i have to jerry-rig it closed with a piece of tape and it still looks awful
Hey Paper Kawaii! I was curious how you get yours to be "skinny"? Or more long than fat? Mine are all sort of fat/wide. I'm using almost 10" (25cm) paper, does that have anything to do with it? Thanks!
I put about 5 minutes into it, sighed with relief that the horrible wrinkled little squished thing wasn't visible from the other side. Then gave up on the next part :)
So you take the very center of the middle fold, and fold it upwards to meet the line above and just pinch where I do, once you've done that on both sides, you end up with a little square... maybe that helps, maybe not! You might have better luck looking at a diagram you can search kawasaki rose in google and you'll find it. :)
I messed up at the first stage of assembly. It just didn’t want to fall into the right place. So I gave up, screwed up the paper and conceded that my little ball was about as close to the end result as I’ll be getting for now 😂
I really love and like your tutorials and also i am one of your subscribers but i really need to learn how to do the origami magic ball i wish you to read my comment wa shokran
Hi there, thanks for your comment :) there are already a few videos here on youtube such as ua-cam.com/video/VgXwSdJNks8/v-deo.html hope you find that helpful.. Chrissy x
Everything is fine until I get to the paper clip part...ugh!! I wana do this so bad 😭😭😭 Edit: geez, finally did it, only took a couple hours, lol. Idk if the end result was worth all that 😅
It was fine the first time but then something went wrong each time after that and made me rage tho it is still decently clear and I wish you would put subtitles or actually talk to make it more clear
I also made a video which is from a different angle to show the assembly of the rose again.
Watch that here: ua-cam.com/video/VVMrsC-HYhc/v-deo.html
Thank you! I’m an origami sculptor, usually I know this design by heart, but I forgot one of the steps and you saved my day! ❤️❤️❤️
Yeah I used to know it to but the site I learned it on no longer exist 😢

Love the way you pause and briefly undo to help us normal people better comprehend.

I can't believe this is my first rose I have made in my life thank you for this video I would be proud if you can make another video by making roses❤

Thank you so much for this excellent video, I’ve really struggled with the Kawasaki rose but with your clear instructions I flew through it. 🌹💕
It took me 2 hours... Not gonna lie at some time i could had cried and i don't know if it's still a rose... I thought it was easier 😅😂 still you are good at tutorials😊 i may have to rewatch this
I love your tutorials! Where other tutorials have failed me, you always make it so clear!
What a wonderful detailed tutorial. I made one today. Planning to make more. Thank you so much for the video
Yaaay first try and I did it! It's an amazing rose I love it~

Ah thanks! 😅 Yes it's old but I remember this video taking a long time and effort to film, glad it is still being useful! 😊
Wow, this reminds me of the "rose origami" painting by Allegra Art.❤❤❤
Thank you so much for this very clear, easy to follow tutorial!! I got the rose on my first try.
Sofia Nishimura Wow your first try? that's *awesome*! Most people would need to make it at least twice :)
yes
One of my favorite origami flowers! thanks a lot for this great tutorial!
I like your sequence of pre-creases.
best tutorial of the rose i have seen!
thanks for this masterful tutorial video🙏
The 2nd part is actually easier then the first. I watched the first part for 10 over time before i can remember how to fold the crease. For the starting of the assembly, its much easier if you bend in the middle like a diamond shape.
I loved to fold this rose! Thank you!
A little hard, but worth it. Thanks for the tutorial.
Wow, I’m so amazed with your art. Gonna try this one and will give it to my love ones. Thanks for sharing this. God Bless.

14:57 YAY! SQUASH FOLD PLEATING!
I hate squash fold. It's hard for me.
+Creeper Queen To me, its easy
It's hard but when you get it right it's so satisfying
WOOOOOOOO! I made it, thank u very much!!!
That's really cool.Beautiful
Hello, this is really good.
Georgie M Thanks! :)
Thank you for this easy to fallow tutorial of a gorgeous origami rose. You are the best with origami tutorials on u tube. May I ask if you can name the beautiful music in this video? I love to fold with music and especially your music selection😊
Our friends:😀

Very nice and simple!
thank you, great tutorial! :)
after 15 minutes I finally did the squash pleating part, its difficult but if you understand its quite easy
Best tutorial. Thank you!
Eu gostei muito do seu vídeo, pois ele foi o único que fez com folha dupla face. Então para quem quer fazer com um papel dupla face, o vídeo ajudou muito. Obrigada.
there's also the one-minute kawasaki rose. The one-minute one is easier.
I can't believe I made 100 of these for my crush back in high school...
Thank you sooo much!🌹🌹🌹
Do you have a diagram for this version of the Kawasaki Rose? Whilst the video is perfectly fine, I just find it much easier to work from diagrams.
I don't but there are lots of the online, just search origami kawasaki rose diagram in google images :)
Thank you so much
Thanks. Love your. Tutorial
At 21:22 how do you get each section to stay in place when you close them? whenever i do it they don't stay sturdy and crisp so the bottom is loose and i have to jerry-rig it closed with a piece of tape and it still looks awful
Amazing
I dunno, do u think its ok to put a stem on it? Is it possible?
i think you can stick it in the back then you expand the flaps a little bit
Cool, I'll try that =)
yes. it forms a nice hole in the bottom through which you can stick a stem, and it squeezes the stem pretty well too.
Ohh, nice! Thank you C:
I did it firs try! * cheering *

After an hour of effort, I gave up after the squash pleating part
+Schawin Kongthawee Its easy to me. But I understand.
I put about 5 minutes into it, sighed with relief that the horrible wrinkled little squished thing wasn't visible from the other side. Then gave up on the next part :)
Same here, so slow yet I still can't follow the instructions
Danny 6798 Just make sure your pre creases are good and it’ll be a lot easier
Danny 6798 especially the folds at around 11:00
thank you
I'm sorry, but I don't understand the pinching part at around 5:00 in the video >_
So you take the very center of the middle fold, and fold it upwards to meet the line above and just pinch where I do, once you've done that on both sides, you end up with a little square... maybe that helps, maybe not! Hi, can you make a tutorial of a spining top?
Enji Montero There are a few videos already, such as Origami Instructions: Spinning Top (Manpei Arai) :)
I messed up at the first stage of assembly. It just didn’t want to fall into the right place. So I gave up, screwed up the paper and conceded that my little ball was about as close to the end result as I’ll be getting for now 😂
That was way too much work for one little rose but it looks cool so I'm gonna say it's worth it
FANTASTICO
I really love and like your tutorials and also i am one of your subscribers but i really need to learn how to do the origami magic ball i wish you to read my comment wa shokran

Beautiful ^_^
How did the fold came up on 15:05 seconds ?
Gave up at 15:00 just doesn't work at all...
Nice...just 2 hard to make
Super easy
I always fail at 14:45 :(
I tore the middle and then i just put a piece of tape over it lmao
Everything is fine until I get to the paper clip part...ugh!! I wana do this so bad 😭😭😭
Edit: geez, finally did it, only took a couple hours, lol. Idk if the end result was worth all that 😅
I did it without paperclips!
I tried t it didn't work I think they patched it in an update
You lost me after the assembly part
Me to lost
It was going safe and smooth until 15:00 than this step comes and my work was gone this step is so difficult I don't get it
Check out this video from alternative angle, it just happens that it starts from that step :) ua-cam.com/video/VVMrsC-HYhc/v-deo.html
Thanks for your help 😊 I'll try again 😀
It was all going great until 14:42

13:25
It was fine the first time but then something went wrong each time after that and made me rage tho it is still decently clear and I wish you would put subtitles or actually talk to make it more clear
