Please forgive me for not remembering her name, but the woman that is off camera, it’s the second time I’ve heard a podcast with her this week and she needs to know that the calm and reasoned way she expresses the raw emotion she feels about the loss in her life is very powerful, I really wish peace for your soul, whatever that means I guess. This is so good. A huge group being overlooked and even blamed are the parents. There are a bunch of bad parents pushing this but for the most part its people trying to do best for their kids. Whole families are heald hostage over this. Its so important that these people keep sticking together to keep their mental health intact. Im a recoverd alcoholic and addict. Did meeting and everything else but I was introduced to retreats. It changed my life. There is nothing like a group of people who are all involved. They all paid, they all took off. They all are there for the same reason. There isn't much more powerful and healing than that.

This was eye opening - to hear several interacting voices on the same challenging issue. To hear of that unfortunate father taking his own life as his family broke up was quite shocking. As far as 'being on the right side of history', I think it's safe to say that in the not too distant future, anyone who currently endorses or profits from the chemically experimenting on children and amputating healthy body parts to create crude non-functioning simulacra will be less than celebrated.

@@weltschmerski Two main issues. Firstly, and most importantly, what we might characterize as "Puritanism" - the idea that "unorthodox" forms of pleasure are wicked and sinful and should be banned, irrespective of such secular issues as consent and harm to others. Secondly, the idea that The Powers That Be are engaged in a vast, deliberate conspiracy to usher in the rule of Lucifer, without taking Hanlon's Razor into account.
And, perhaps, in particular reference to this video, the idea that parents own their children and should be able to control their lives. I admit that this is more of a personal issue for me than a general statement of principle, but it's still one that makes me very uncomfortable, as I know what the consequences of allowing that view to prevail are.

Thank you all. Thank you, Benjamin, yet again. The way you hold a conversation is so valuable. And this was a particularly powerful group. My daughter is now 14. Two years ago, she told me that she was omnisexual and attending the LGBT+ meetings at school. Her two best friends at school were identifying as trans and non-binary. We also have a good male friend who was identifying as a girl, and I was in close touch with his mother. So I started tracking it closely, mostly by listening to Benjamin's conversations with de-transitioners and Sasha's and Stella's podcast. I was able to navigate the conversations with my daughter more skillfully, though far from perfectly, because I was able to hear conversations such as this one. My daughter has a measured perspective on it all now, and her friends reversed their course. Somehow it hasn't taken a strong hold at their school. I've also been able to have succinct conversations with my friends who have toddlers just to let them know the landscape. It requires confidence in the understanding that mothers like you are coming from a genuinely loving place to have these conversations with other mothers. I feel like tone is definitely changing, so I thank you for lending your voices to this very important cause. I wish you all peace in the days and years ahead.

I deeply appreciate these parents sharing their personal and family experiences! It is vital to the education of the general public - most of whom have been blindsided by this escalating social contagion and very confused about how to navigate what has become a mine field of societal ideologies.
These women, in my view, are the grounded, sane ones in this very fraught and dangerous phase of human evolution. Thank goodness for their courage to stand strong in their intuition and their sense of something being askew in this trend toward ‘woke-ism’ and embrace of any identity being adopted by often struggling, confused people (esp youths), who actually are reflecting the stressors (and endocrine-disrupting chemicals we are all swimming in) of our modern societies.
This is a multifaceted issue, and needs close examination to untangle the huge mess that’s been made by the various institutions that have exploited this situation for THEIR purposes, and not for the well-being of struggling youths and adults.
Enlightened and well informed mental health professionals are needed to intervene in this damaging trajectory.
Blessings to all these families on this difficult journey. 🙏🏻💞☮️

Be sensitive and probe for if there's other problems being covered by the gender issue. Or just plain refuse until they move out. Because it’s really about THEM wanting to be “special”, it’s not supposed to be about THE PARENTS. Lol.

That could work for some kids who are doing it for attention. It wouldnt work on all kids because not all kids are doing it as a fashion statement. Same works for if a teenage girl wants to wear slutty clothing the parent then wears the same short skirts and red lipstick or punk hairdo and the kids then find it so annoying. Kids want to disidentify with their parents at that age to rebel so if you want kids to be good normal accountants then you dhould be a punk parent and they will rebel by doing the opposite. But thats also only going to work on an unsophisticated child ..somone who actually has body or gender disphoria can have so many things going on from having been sexually assaulted to being exposed to porn that scarwd the bejeepers out of them to just being depressed that each child has to be looked at as an individual. Just the same as somone with a rash doesnt automatically have ezema and given steroids creams but every rash is different and the cause needs to be acertained pripr to treatment being decided on. And thats not common nowadays in the medical world. You go into a doctor feeling depressed they wont ascertain whether your mom just died or you have anemia or you actually have clinical seratonin problems theyll just hand you ssris without even bothering to find out if the symptons is caused by something else. And a lot of things can cause the symptoms of gender disphoria.

I've been down the rabbit hole for nearly twelve months examining the research and the huge, loud and extreme voices pushing affirmation.
First off gender dysphoria is a mental disorder. Rapid onset gender dysphoria is clearly being driven by social media and then within friend groups. What these mom's are doing is brave and so desperately needed.
I work as a Rolfer and movement coach and the more I learn and honestly see first hand I love on an area of NYC that is dense with gender different people (who have clearly had medical interventions... Mostly top surgery).
It has occured to me and now I believes strongly that specifically Rolfing Structural Integration manual therapy along with movement coach and talk therapies could have a profound impact on the relationship these teens have with their bodies. I don't rspeak for the Rolf institute or any other organization but strongly encourage parents trying to help their confused kids to find comfort in their bodies to seek out Rolfing.

The idea that kids will use trans as a way of dealing with a multitude of issues, and no one is questioning it scares the crap out of me. Why because if I was a teen today I would use it as well. I had gender confusion as a child/teen. I hated being a girl when I was young. My mother who was a second wave conservative feminist would push back on that by telling me there was nothing boys could do that I couldn't do. Of course that doesn't apply to all the sports I played where I definitely saw the differences. As a teenager one of my problems was that I wasn't straight, didn't understand that, and came from a very conservative background. My family went to church 4 or 5 days a week. That wasn't for services but for social activities. The church was basically the center of our lives.
I tried three times at 13, 16, and 19 to commit suicide. If I was a teen today with what I wrote above I would advocate for being trans. After all I tried to delete myself and we are told it's the trans kids who do things like that. But I would be lying, I know I would lie because I never told my parents I tried at 13. I was having issues at school so they sent me to a therapist and I made it a point never to tell him the truth. Why? I heard voices that told me to kill myself told me that I was unwanted, unworthy of love and life. They were always there but would get louder when I was alone and no background noise was available. So at 13 I figured I had schizophrenia, I was terrified of living the rest of my life in a padded cell or on the streets as a homeless person. So I hid it for 3 more years. At 16 my parents found me during my attempt. This time I did tell everyone about the voices. I got the diagnosis of schizophrenia just kike I feared. A bad reaction to the medication and about a month later aftersome begging to be taken off the meds, I was reevaluated. Turns out I had what is now bipolar 1 with phycosis. Still a severe mental illness but not as bad to live withas schizophrenia.
If a child/teen like me tried to transition just because they were too scared of a diagnosis they thiught they might have. Transition isn't going to help them. Because you haven't addressed thier actual mental illnesses. (Most of us have more than one)
We need to go back to a wait and see model. Let the child psychiatrists and therapist do thier actual job and get to the bottom of each childs concerns. Instead of treading all kids the exact same way.

The internet is where the majority of teens see it. The problem is not inherently the fault of the internet, the problem is because of websites that choose to harbor those who want it to spread to every child of every age. The biggest social media to entertainment media outlets online are run by "progressives", so of course they're going to permit their own messages to be present, endorse them, and ensure as best as they can that their messages are the only ones to be heard with algorithms making it difficult for the average person to find people who fundamentally disagree and oppose these messages.

I wish more people were telling these parents the truth. "Trans" is a non-medical term and does not describe an actual medical or physiological condition. These kids are not "suffering" like you're being told. Even if a child is diagnosed with gender dysphoria (which, if done ethically, is a quite lengthy process done by a multi-disciplinary team of experts), it almost always goes away within a few years with no intervention at all. These kid's "gender identity” is not a medical emergency, it's just their *personal sense* of their gender which, like all humans, naturally fluctuates. Also, this movement is known for using semantics so be careful of statements like "puberty blockers are reversible" because what they mean by that is that, technically yes, you can stop taking them...not that the side effects are reversible. Another common falsehood, "They'll commit suicide if you don't affirm them"...is even scarier in ways because, while there are ZERO studies showing this to be at all accurate, suicide is a socially contagious behavior, especially amongst youth so, it could be dangerous if your child is overly-exposed to this idea. Protect your kids by learning all you can about this ideology, these prescriptions, these surgeries, and the impact all of it is having on society, especially women & children. It's a historical social event for sure, and we just don't know the truth from the lies enough yet to make any life-altering decisions for our kids. And just to be clear, I am not anti-trans, I am a lesbian woman with children and I am anti-harming or even risking harm to a child for no good reason.

The child is half his too. We men are not being considered In this conversation, the affect that loosing a child has on the man of the house. How he as a father is being emasculated and destroyed. It's all about the women and the mothers. The whole problem of the trans agenda, the feminist agenda, the marxist socialist agenda is to separate men and women, to prey of the sympathies of the women, to destroy the access of men to their wives, their children, their progeny, their decendency, by the very language these women are using to say that it is exclusively the woman's problem, the woman is most affected, that theirs is the only focal point that matters, as if the female, the mother, is going to fix this problem. You are not. These women are already using the language of the groomers and the socialists, because they dont understand the communist agenda and the language the enemy is using. You have already capitulated. Men are gonna have to fix it. It's a black and white issues, yes and no, right and wrong, not grey. So, Men are standing by waiting for you to try, but you will fail. When it comes down to the bottom line, a family may have to employ the very tactics that are being used against the family, like yours, and just cut off access to the one who is trying to destroy you and your family. Why is this true? It's obvious from the dialog in this video: so many words spent on describing how hard it was for these women to "find their courage" or "feel supported" and "understood" or convince themselves that they "weren't crazy" or a conservative or religious fanatic. In other words, for them to convince themselves that they were not acting alone, that they still had a social network which supported them. There are always outliers, of course, but by and large these are female problems. Men, by and large, don't have a problem standing alone, and telling a person threatening their family to back off - that is, when they aren't collectively emasculated, neutered, silenced, and pushed out of the picture by society. All the female empowerment in the world will not make mothers significantly more like fathers.

~1:40 - In the UK, the 'thoughtful' labelled people are on the right.
In the US the 'thoughtful' labelled people are on the left.
The people who will buy the book are probably a little bit more conservative than many others.
I think that the US right will see a book for 'thoughtful parents' as being a more academic and lefty thing.
I think that the UK right will see a book for 'thoughtful parents' as being a more conservative and traditional sort of almost Hogwarts-like thing.
