I love slick trick standards and vipers, so I tried the griztrick 125 for that gnarly tip... broke 1 the first time tuning them. I hit another arrow and it exploded. If you look at base of GrizTrick (blades out, where blades go in) you can see it's only attached by literally a 1/16" of metal in a cross pattern. I've never broke a regular/viper trick, and I've hit everything with them through the years.
Wow u got this shop set up I remember u where excited about doing this. u finally did it good job I’m hopefully going to start my own archery shop. Any pointers to give out for me.
Been using Bear, Zwickey, Pollington Pro, and Magnus single (a.k.a. 2-blade) broad heads for 52 years. I’ve bagged everything I’ve hit with them, which is HUNDREDS of animals. Tens-of-millions of animals have been taken with stone, flint knapped, “broad heads,” and their steel counterparts. There is no need for 3, 4, 5, etc. nor “mechanical” heads.
The thing with mechanical heads is they shoot so well at long range so it's beneficial for antelope or mulies out in western open terrain. I don't use them anymore for whitetail but they always worked well. I switched because I heard too many stories about hitting bone and failing.
Iron will single bevels are my normal broadhead choice but i will give credit for a cheaper price the Magnus stinger does a great job. I used them for smaller deer that i dont need the extra punch on.
I was shooting the Magnus Black Hornet Serrated in 150 grains. All my bow shops don't have it anymore; not even in the big bad Amazon store. It sounds like you are not stocking them either; are those discontinued?
Have 12 schwacker 100g mechanicals on my hunting arrows and a pack of grim reapers ive only shot one out of. Didnt perform like my scheackers. Always used Schwacker, always will! No more than a 30yd track which aint much of a track job with the holes left behind a Schwacker!
I'm torn between 125gr Stinger Buzzcut 4 blade and the 125gr Grim Reaper Hades Pro 3 blade. Do you or anyone have a preference between the 2? Strickly for treestand whitetail hunting. With a max shot of under 30 yards.
@papaschuette all good. I'd lean magnus too in general but with that setup you could use either. If you were really low lb and draw then the magnus might offer better penetration
Never trusted any mechanical, use Monteq solid fixed blade 100 on my crossbow and 125s on my compound, fly straight and true as a target point…. Plus mechanicals are a one time shot, usually bust and can’t be sharpened very easily, fixed blade monteq I can target shoot, resharpen, and tough as nails, will penetrate plywood , and keep on flying
That Magnus stinger is a bad dude!! 🩸 i have bad shoulders and hafta shoot a lighter poundage and they still pass through so fast the deer don’t know what happened 👍
Hard to beat slick trick standards or magnums.

I've always had good results from the 100gr 2 or 3 blade rage mechanicals.
Have you shot the NC chisel tips?

I’m stocked up on 150 grain Rage, I love em outta my crossbow! Did buy a pack of 150 grain Swhackers to try sometime.
I love the magnus 4 blade black hornet
Really like the Magnus black hornets ser razor
Great broad heads. I’ve had awesome results with qad exodus heads
I shoot Kayuga Single bevel 150gn mainly. The only mechanical I shoot consistently is the SVER Robusto 150gn.
Best brodheads are the one's that hit where you're aiming. Otherwise it doesn't matter that much.
What about sharpness, quality of steel, durability, penetration?
Or absolutely matters

Awesome inventory!

Do you have any experience with Crimson Talon Crocs?
I do not, no.
Would the mini mag perform well out of my 65lb 28.5” draw bow?
Stick to Whitetails and have an arrow with at least 440 grains and you'll be great!
I only shoot 60 lbs...Ive used Toxics, rages, montec g5....all with success...but bought some grim reapers but 100 grn. Do i need more poundage?
Since you said you want to shoot a higher poundage bow with the grim reaper broadheads do you think I could shoot them with a 50/60 lbs bow
If you're shooting 50#, keep your cut diameter under 1.5". If you're at 60#, keep it under 2". You'll be great!

Magnus never had a 150 grain hornet until this year and it's not even officially released yet. I don't even have a price sheet for them yet.
@@averagejackarchery You are right! I checked the package I still had; I had 125 grain with 50 grain inserts. 🙈 Sorry. Thank you for clarifying!
What about vortex

You can’t beat the Grim Reaper and the Slick Tricks are good fixed heads but I prefer the Exodus
Where are you located?
As I say in the first 3 seconds: Philipsburg PA
@@averagejackarchery wow. Honestly don’t know how I missed that. My apologies

What poundage bow? Probably won't matter for that setup though, either will likely do more than good enough
Coin toss. Both excellent. Magnus comes with lifetime no nonsense warranty. Gives it a slight edge. Pun intended.
@@averagejackarchery Awesome. I was kinda leaning towards the Buzzcuts. Thanks for your advice.
@feyrband I'm shooting 65lbs at a 30 inch draw. Sorry for the late reply.
@papaschuette all good. I'd lean magnus too in general but with that setup you could use either. If you were really low lb and draw then the magnus might offer better penetration
Slipstick is very good
Good choices. Made in America
200g cutthroats... right bevel
Three letters… Q A D
How about WASP
Great heads. Not my top 2 for perfect arrow flight with consistent success, but I've often thought about shooting the Drone.
Best broadheads on the market is g5 megameat
150 gr magnus single bevel all day
Not any body can shoot a mechanical broadhead 50# up.
Slicktrick Raptortrick 3pk 100g 10point HOG roaming Steubenville imma take your meat bud

No
But....maybe?
Stingers vs Stingers Buzzcut vs Magnus Snuffers/G5 Montecs for big hogs ?
65# 29" Mathews V3X 29.. . Opinions ??
Stingers or buzzcuts. Coin toss.
@@averagejackarchery Ahahah, I will do, thanks !!
