My husband had made a diy doll house with the help of laser cut machine,it was amazing. When you made that slide open and hinge box ,that type were also done by him.He had made a swing and a skide open box,the swing had the hinges.I was so happy to see these boxes made by you, they look super cute and yes we can customise them too😍. Thank you always for super informative videos 🤩
Love it, simple but highly effective storage solutions ... the hinge looks a bit fragile on the sides, I'd consider doubling up the wood at that point, but quite an ingenious solution, as is the sliding lid 👍 Overall absolutely brilliant, definitely better than a cardboard box 🤣
Yes I was thinking that the hinge could be a bit fragile but it's 5mm 1st class ply, not a laser specific ply. So it's quite strong and dense. So far it's OK. I think I'll make another one and do a bit of stress test to see how much it can stand 🤔
Fantastic video as usual Tomasz. I use an Ortur LM3 Laser Engraving & Cutting Machine 20,000mm/min 10W - will be upgrading the laser module to a 20W soon. Every wood worker needs one of these 🙂 I use LightBurn for template making, it's the best piece of software out there (in my opinion). Keep up the great work mate, I'm learning a lot form your tutorials.
Hey, Tomasz, Another great video! While I am a 'laser skeptic' guy, I found your video informative and entertaining. Now, I am thinking I might make a bench at the back of the workshop for the laser and 3D printer!
Thank you Tomasz, such a full content video. I have a laser, still in the box! I bought it just to make boxes. this video has given me impetus to get it setup now and get my finger out! Would be great to see how you designed the boxes in 'Sketchup' . Interesting you didn't use Lightburn to design, interested in your thoughts with that. All the best and dziękuję.
Oh you need both 😅 there are things that laser can't do, same as cnc. It's a perfect combo to have in a workshop. CNC is one of two tools I want and still don't have in my workshop. The second tool is a lathe😅
Tomasz , I'd be interested to know from all the lasers you have tested. Which you think is the best for a first time user, under the £1000 mark. Mainly in looking to use it for engravings and template cutting 6mm MDF. Or perhaps you could do a summary video around them all so far?
I will have a summary video by the end of September. Got one last laser to test. It will be a hard choice I think. All perform very well, I had no issues with any of them. They do differ in some minor aspects/ features that will be more of a personal feel which one you would like more. So when it comes to performance they are will perform as to be expected from a module power. (Although this 22W module from Algolaser seems to be more capable than standard 20W modules - not too far from the 30W modules). So the decision should be based on the additional features each machine has, price and community support. But yes stay tuned for the ultimate comparison 😁👍
Having sat here wondering which laser to buy I have just watched this vlog and have purchased the AlgoLaser Alpha 22w. Do you buy laser ply or just any ply?
In most cases I do buy a laser ply, better results in cutting and engraving. However in this video I used normal 1st class ply as I have ran out of the laser ply.

The possibilities with a laser are really vast 😁👍
Absolutely brilliant, Tomasz! Fantastic work!!! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I love them as well, I think I'll have a box for every tool 😅

Yes I switched from LaserRGBL to Lightburn, much better and feature rich software. Thank you for watching my videos 👍😁

Got a plan for a laser bench as well. Need a hood cover so finally the fumes have a proper extraction and the whole worksop won't smell.
@@CasualDIY That would be great. Will there be a video on the build of a laser bench with extraction hood?
@@johnpenman1548 yes 👍

I just find Lightburn to be hard to design items. I do prefer tools I have in Sketchup it's a personal preference I think.
Świetne pudełka 👍👍
😁👍
Quite impressed with that laser I'm torn between a CNC or a laser now, dust vs smoke........

@@CasualDIY Have you used a roller with the AlgoLaser and if so what make?
@@BAHATI1943 not used a roller with this one yet
@@CasualDIY In your experience are rollers inter changeable?
@@BAHATI1943 not tested that to be honest, and that's an interesting thing to check out
How do you set the laser level for the foam?
Same way I just hold the module until the retractable foot touches the foam.
@@CasualDIYthought it’d be more problematic with the foam sinking in 🤷♂️
@@fliplmb if you let it go then yes it will sink in, hence you need to hold it 😅
