  • When asked to try out the latest creation by Algolaser, I couldn't resist. Did they think of everything? Almost...
At it's current price, this is a really good machine from what I have seen so far.
Algolaser is being headed up by Justin Tan, formerly of Ortur. His innovations are awesome in this machine.

I got in on the pre-sale deal on the 40w Creality laser that can switch between 20w and 40w. So far it's amazing. It's cutting wood that I thought I needed a CO2 laser for. Nice channel, by the way.

Thanks. Creality makes a good machine. I have the 20 watt version

Can I ask what link you used to order? I tried getting a creality but my credit card flagged it as suspicious.

Really nice, well thought out machine.
Also watched the review of your buddy Vintauri, nice and neat design.
Thanks again for your great content!

I'm wondering why Justin is still covering the costs of the support infrastructure and staff for Ortur. Their support tickets generate a long diatribe describing his resignation, but also the fact that he's still honoring the support tickets. Very strange indeed....

That is odd, I was unaware of that. This machine came with a long letter stating his departure and new company. By the way, love the content. You have helped me learn a lot about lightburn in the past couple of years.

Great review. I would like to get your opinion about the sculpfun S30 Pro Max , Atezr L2 24w, and AlgoLaser Delta 22W which one would you prefer. Thanks

This will be my first engraving laser. Looking at doing some cutting engraving on wood tumblers and business cards. Just didn’t want to buy something and regret it and went well I should have bought that one. Not sure how big I need. Thanks

Hey, I’m new to all this. I’ve been watching your videos and a couple other people that you mention. I just ordered the Atezr 36 watt, should be here Wednesday. I saw a video for the Delta model of this laser after I ordered the Atezr. I don’t know much about these and was curious about your thoughts between the two. Any input would be helpful and greatly appreciated. I mainly bought this for the intricate cutting, but I’m looking forward to seeing all the options. I have a background in woodworking and machining. I noticed the issues with smoke, and I was curious if a sort of vacuum table would help? Almost working like the opposite of an air hockey table. Just a thought. Thanks for the videos.

I run an Atezr V36 in my big enclosure. It is a great machine but is all manual. The delta version of the algo is basically the same machine with a screen and a couple software upgrades. Both a good high speed machines

How do you feel this machine compares to the xtool? I am looking for a laser to pair with my cnc machine. It would primarily be used for engraving, but would be used for cutting some things that are too small to do easily on the cnc such as small letters. The entry price on this machine is fairly comparable to the 10 watt xtool and already has the air assist. I feel the 20 watts on this machine would be much more enjoyable than the 10 watts on the xtool. For the limited use it would get from me, I don’t want to drop $1200 on a 20 watt xtool.

It has auto air which XTool doesn’t. That’s a nice extra

Im about to buy a laser engraving machine, but im a bit confused with so many options, i don’t want to spend unnecessary money for a brand name i just need something that works well, i also need to cut plywood, so what would be your suggestion?
    Thank you

Whats the longevity of the laser (hours of usage) before the laser decreases in cutting and engraving power?

    • @TheClackShack

I haven't gotten there yet. In my opinion, way more than the mechanical parts if you keep it clean. If you believe the manufacturer >8000 hours. Specs here.. algolaser.com/pages/alpha-specifications

HOW did you adjust the focus - WITHOUT the laser head shield, (little square thing held on by four magnets)?? OH, you didn't.... Close but NO CIGAR.... 🙂

Using the focus pin that is located on the right side of the module, the same way you do with the shield on. Page 16 of the user manual

    • @TheClackShack
      @TheClackShack  10 місяців тому +1

I haven't tried but a diode of this power should be able to do it on certain metals. Getting a specific color is challenging with any laser, too many variables.
