When this song peaked in 1975, I was 14 years old and I fell hard in love with Christine. I could just imagine myself walking along with Linda Ronstadt on one arm and Christine McVie on the other arm. The fantasies of a teenager. So sad that both of those beautiful voices have been silenced
So true, I’m currently 15 years old and I also have a huge crush on Christine McVie. 🤣🤣 I didn’t grow up in this time but I have a huge appreciation for Fleetwood Mac.
Linday Buckingham is a good guitarist yes, but he's not among the best in the world. He would even tell you himself he knows guitarists who can play him under the table !
This song has always had one of the best remembered choruses from the entire decade of the 70's. It was unique then, and has remained as such ever since.
Play back that song and listen to the bass. I won't say he's underrated because I know all Fleetwood Mac fans know he's great. But because no one has mentioned it, I'll add that John McVie's bass balances a driving groove and a melodic line perfectly. He never misses a note, and his bass parts are as intrinsic to the song as anything Paul McCartney did with the Beatles or Wings, John Entwhistle with the Who, and John Paul Jones with Zeppelin. In short, he's one of the masters of classic rock at moving along the song from the bottom, and slyly compliments what the singers and song writers are doing. He's part of lets you play these songs over and over again and still find something fresh and new every time.
By the way, look at John McVie play that bass guitar like a boss. I had never noticed until lately despite hearing this song when it came out in the 1970s. I was enjoying the melody and Christine's voice too much to notice anything else.
@Bella-vd3pm he must have had the worst headache during the filming, you can see him grinning painfully in this and other songs from this same live set
I’ve always loved that last part where Stevie Nicks trails so subtly off the word falling. Such a nice touch. I don’t know why but it really appeals to me.
Theyre 20yrs before me but i get goosebumps from so many of their songs Got to see them live Vancouver 2015, no tricks just lights and was best energy from any live show ive seen
Thanks for the Music Genius Christ McVeigh! No one can quite bring what you do to the groove! so glad-not to have missed it, listening to whatever else came down the pipe in the seventies! glad to have been there when you were!
I would not have any problem telling this band that I love them. They're music is, was, and always will be brilliant to me. Christine, Lindsay, Stevie, beautiful band...every one of them., Vic.
I am so grateful to the universe for bringing these 5 incredible souls together to give us the pure magic and musical genius that is FLEETWOOD MAC. However, it is also unfair how much beauty and talent the Creators gave to Stevie and Lindsay. What an insanely gorgeous couple they were! ❤
I'm tempted to say that the coming together of Buckingham Nicks and Fleetwood Mac was as important as the coming together of John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
Wow, the 70's man! What a wonderful time I had growing up then. There will never be another Era like it. We had the coolest music and cars. Women back then, with their long hair. Were so beautiful and took so much pride in themselves. They were ladies and didn't sit with their legs gaped open. Or didn't say "F" or "F'ing" every 2nd or 3rd word either.
I was born in 1970 in the GDR and we also loved this music. To buy a record we waited 10 to 24 hours in front of the store. yes, that's how it was in the 80s. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2024.
MY FAVOURITE song by fleetwood Mac. I adore this song. Going on 700+ listens this year alone on Apple Music. RIP Christine. You were a saint during your time here. You’re an angel now. Songbird forever
I'll tell you why this is my favorite Fleetwood Mac song. I was at a Waffle House at 3 a.m., and the usual suspects were there. A group of guys working the third shift at a warehouse, a family who just got off the interstate, a couple of cops, a table full of dancers/stripers, and my group, four 20-something college kids who just left a sports bar. One of the dancers went to the jukebox and played (Say You Love Me). When it came on, two people started singing along. By the time the chorus came up, everyone in the Waffle House was singing along. People from different races and backgrounds had something in common for about 4 minutes. Everyone was happy.
That's awesome. FM just crosses so many boundaries. I am 43 - my parents love FM, I got my love from them, and I have 18 and 20 year old sons that absolutely love them too. Their music is just timeless.
Isn't it amazing the power music has when it brings down walls between color and race for all to join in on the fun with the spirit of music we can all tap into!
That is very cool. They don't make music like this anymore. I was very young when this song came out. Only in more recent times have I realised how truly awesome this band is. Oddly I was more into solo Stevie Nicks when I was younger and didn't give a lot of thought to Fleetwood Mac. Getting into them late, but better late than never. Bloody classic tune this is , for sure.
I love this song. It wouldn't be the same if she didn't sing lead on this one. I love her voice. Don't get me wrong, I've always been a big Stevie Nicks fan but this song is definitly Christine McVie's.
I grew up in Headley about 200 yards away from Fleetwood Mac ,used to hear them practicing ❤️
That has to be the coolest thing ever 😎 😊❤
I’m jealous.
So jealous
.......and?
@mikeyb…’ Now THAT’s cool 😉👍’
a lot of people dont realise how good they are because they make it look so easy .
Christine McVie is such a damn beautiful woman. Stevie Nick’s voice floating in the background like a whisper.
So sad Christie isn't with us, but her music lives on forever in our hearts!
RIP. Have you heard the Doublejumps? i think you'll like them if you like Fleetwood Mac!
And her keyboard skills!
Christie was the heart and soul of Fleetwood Mac and she will be remembered for all time.
Lovely words, she was very talented ❤
I love the towel on MF's head.
Another example of a great band that not had three lead singers, but three singers that could harmonize together beautifully.
Have you heard the Doublejumps? i think you'll like them if you like Fleetwood Mac!
Just like Bone Thugs and Harmony
The only other act I can think of that had such great balance is The Band. One of my FAVES

Hate it that Christine seemed to be more in the shadows. Super talented gal.
RIP Christine - loved your voice ❤
I will always believe Christine was the magic ingredient for Fleetwood Mac. She made the band what it was.
I tend to like her songs the best.
Yes
Took me my older yrs to realize how much her heart was crying to be loved equally as she loving . Love you RIP Christie
Unforgettable voice and keyboards from Christine.
Love it.❤️
I miss her daily. 😢
So do I!,😢
😢😢😢

I'd have Joan Jett and Christine by my side. But Christine had the voice that went straight to your heart.
You have impeccable taste!
I also had a crush on Christine McVie during the mid '70's.😊
I was Seventeen!
Christine McVie, The true babe of Fleetwood Mac..... RIP Chrissy
Have you heard the Doublejumps? i think you'll like them if you like Fleetwood Mac!
Christine is an absolute treasure
Lindsay needs to be recognized as one of best guitar players in the world as well!
Amen!!!
Absolutely! He is so underrated
Not even close :D
Linday Buckingham is a good guitarist yes, but he's not among the best in the world. He would even tell you himself he knows guitarists who can play him under the table !
Indeed
To me he is the best !!!!
Christine was the glue that held the band together ❤️ ❤❤ RIP
Absolutely. They just sound better harmonizing to her songs.
I know the band, the song, never saw this. Wonderful.
thank you Cristine for beeing there and your beautifull music.Hope you are playing with the angels in heaven now!
She's not so innocent

Wow, Christine was a superstar🍸🍷🤟
Beautiful voice of a Lovely Lady! RIP Sweet Christine🎈🎼💙💛
Merveilleuse Christine, I wish you were still here !
"You woo me until the sun comes up," makes me cry a little.
OK, I'll say it "We Love You Christine"! RIP-Your talent & beauty will live on! 💖💖
one hit after the next. man what a band.
This is my favorite video of their song. I'm not sure why but I just enjoy watching Christine and the drummer Mick Fleetwood.
By the way, look at John McVie play that bass guitar like a boss. I had never noticed until lately despite hearing this song when it came out in the 1970s. I was enjoying the melody and Christine's voice too much to notice anything else.

Another gem from Christine McVie 🎉🎉

As stunning visually as both the song and performance…

Any time is a good time to listen to Fleetwood Mac. Makes a better day
Hello Fleetwood Mac:
Listening to Christine sing is like music in my ears!!!
Truly a wonderful band one of a kind rip Christine
One of my all-time favorite bass lines. It's on my bucket list to learn it and perform it.

Ps play This on the freeway loud in the car .awesome
I find it amazing, 3 Lead Singers in the one band. FM were soo amazing. My fav was Stevie Nicks though, just a gorgeous lady with an amazing voice.

I bloody love this song. It’s so upbeat but not overly happy so that it’s sickly. Stevie’s voice coming in over the harmonies are just perfect.
I know it's not a popular opinion, but even that Steve has a unique voice I personally prefer Christine's, I found it sweet and soothing.
Have you heard the Doublejumps? i think you'll like them if you like Fleetwood Mac!
"Absolutely extraordinary". RIP Christine McVie.

Watching this is so beautiful. They’re just having a good time. Playing their music. Even with all the bullshit of real life they rock.
This music is just Perfect!
What an awesome live performance! Love this version.
Fleetwood Mac was always a favorite of our high school campouts in the 70s! Ahhhh .... the 70s!!
RIP Christine, true wife material... Stevie, living goddess... Fleetwood Mac, maybe the best to ever do it? Rock on!!!
Beautiful and awesome band. Their sound and songs never get old.
Lindsey never got the credit for being an outstanding guitar player, with just his fingers!.
