- In this video, we will take a look at the Sculpfun S30 Pro 10w laser cutting and engraving machine. This is our review of the Sculpfun S30 Pro. We put it to the test to see how well it would perform cutting quilting fabric and applique and then we tested it out on wood, card stock, aluminum and denim.

Got my S30 5W in January.
love it its so powerfull not comparable to my old Ortur LaserMaster 2.
We are really liking the S30 10w, it's a sturdy machine and cuts like a dream.

That looked a wonderful easy machine. Things have come a long way.
They certainly have, and they are improving all the. We were surprised with how fine it can cut. The cardstock sunflower is just brilliant.

It really adds some pop to the jeans. It's one of our favourite new things to do.

I have to say we are very impressed with this machine. Especially with the fine detail cut on cardstock. Loving the air assist, it keeps everything nice a clean.

Excellent, what a wonderful gift.
I've heard that you shouldn't use the air assist when cutting the fabric, because it blows the fabric around. I assume you haven't found that to be the case? Also, can you only engrave on the thicker fabric? Or, could you engrave on just plain cotton quilting fabric???
That can happen with both fabric and paper but you can use tape to hold the fabric down which is what we sometimes do. We have engraved on quilting fabric but bear in mind, that it does weaken the fabric so it could tear easily. So for something like an art quilt that doesn't require washing it would work well.

We only did one pass on each of the woods and it worked fine.

Hi it can cut hylam sheet material
I'm sorry I have no idea, I hadn't even heard of hylam sheet material until you asked about it. This laser does cut a wide range of materials. Perhaps you could contact Sculpfun, they should be able to help. Here is a link to their contact page sculpfun.com/en-au/pages/contact-us. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
