    This is one of my faves to order in the restaurant but over flat rice noodles instead of rice. It’s so easy to make at home. Now to get me some rice noodles... Happy Sunday! 💕

      Hey flo, why did server it over rice instead of with flat rice noodles ?
      I had to give up cornstarch so now I'm trying other thickeners, like tapioca starch, arrowroot powder, and such.

    This is one of my childhood dishes my mom used to make. It's so easy and simple. I'm surprised I haven't cooked this myself for my kids. My mom sliced the shrimp the same way. Thanks to Flo for bringing back my childhood memories! :)

    About the chili oil: here in Germany, chinese restaurants usually offer sambal oelek instead of chili oil. But our favourite restaurant offers a mixture I will try to describe by taste: sambal oelek, but with some added soy sauce, sugar and toasted sesame oil. This stuff is addictive! Plus: it does not instantly burn your brain off ;-)
    As chili oil, I'm using Laoganma. But I think Senkyoung Longest and also Pailin have posted recipes to make it from scratch.
    Greetings from the far north of Germany!

      Look up caramelized pork bowls. There's lots of variations of you change the seasonings. Egg roll in a bowl...i use beef in a lot of pork recipes, or mix it half and half. Even Flo's One Pot Pasta would be good with beef. I also use it in soups.

    Jack Daniel’s is not bourbon. That is the correct answer. Although it is made almost exactly like bourbon, and pretty much tastes like bourbon, Jack Daniel’s is a little bit different so its makers prefer to call it Tennessee whiskey.
    That is all true; undisputed, in fact.

    • @FloLum
      @FloLum  3 роки тому +3

      Ok... but I’m using Evan Williams and it is a bourbon... “A Kentucky straight Bourbon whiskey” and that is all true, in fact.

    I order the beef version of this over rice with the raw egg gravy. Because I am white the waitress often asks are you sure you what that? I am like yes....I get he same treatment at Dim Sum when I choose tendon. All they want to sell me is BBQ Pork bun and spring rolls S&S pork honey garlic ribs all of which I don't eat at Yum Cha. I want the steamed stuff the good stuff and I can murder my way through Chinese good enough to get it.
