Honestly, you put all that time and energy into producing entertaining content - and I know how much time it takes to edit down these videos - and some numpty accuses you of staging stuff? Ignore the hateful idiots in the comments Baz and keep the content coming. Have a great weekend.
I love your content Baz, Ex vehicle tech and latterly a collision estimator here, It's nice to be kept up to date with the problems that cars throw up! 👌
Had the same engine in my old Qashqai and the injector failed on Xmas eve🙄. After limping home, I removed it (been in the car 13 years and 230,000 miles on the injector and it came out no problem!) and took it apart and let the bits soak in wynns dpf cleaning fuel overnight. Cleaned the parts off and reassembled the injector and put it back in the engine. Fired it up and hey presto, it worked! Sold the car a couple of months later and the problem hadn’t come back in the interim
I always like to compare the injector code from the fault code to the injectors on the vehicle just to make sure I am looking at the right one, also it makes sure i put in the actual code not another random number from the injector.
Staged?, that would mean everything would take twice as long, and you don't look like you could be bothered with drama, more interested in the truth, and every job is different just like every Ford wet belt is an unknown when you get to the ac compressor. At the rate you put these videos out that wouldn't add up. Diagnostic trolley looks good! Great demo on injector programming. Really appreciate the detail in every video!
I ain't got time to have any drama, cars on the ramp getting fixed content made and uploaded in the same day, I have lots of jobs in a day but I like to post at least one a night, and the ones I upload in the evening is filmed edited and uploaded on the day, but the internet will always be the internet
Awesome work Baz as always.Whoever said you stage things needs to go and have a word with themselves. Out of interest Baz what symptom would that faulty injector give?
I had an injector fail on my previous car (Ford Focus) 2 years ago. I was advised to change all 4 as, like you say, once one fails then the others are liable to fail too. Had the 4 changed at a cost of £906.
Baaz love your videos on you tube and tik yok one question I have a audi a4 2.0tdi keeps say drain oil can it be oil pressure switch or level sensor and how do I get to the ilsensor its impossible
Its intresting what you said about how renault and PSA do there firing order backwards but yet mercedes using renault engine doing the firing order the normal way I wounder when ford use PSA engines do they do the firing order the normal way or backwards. Either ways I can only think they do it to be difficult I cant think of any advantage to put the firing order the other way around
Hi baz thanks for the reply got same pliers from welzh tools What is your preference for torque multiplier have not done a eco boom yet every one we got was well buggered
Todays "Diagnostics Drama" was interesting - maybe - had to take a Fiat diesel for it's annual test - had it running mint, all checked, blah blah - off we went. Got about 5 miles & it died on its backside out of nowhere - zero power, engine still running, but would barely pull off from junctions, would do about 30mph tops & yet no eml lit.. Hmm.. Was running late, so I limped it on to the test center (longest, slowest drive ever) , chucked it in as is - where it failed on a headlight bulb only - bulbs fine, they're just chancers looking for re-test fees... another story. It got spat out of the test bay, I opened the bonnet, popped the connector off the Maf using the ignition key (no tools) & it drove back like a bat out of hell - ECU operating on default map. Running lovely but with the EML now lit.. I've a newer but deader Fiat in the yard with the same engine (1.3 multijet, I love 'em) so I robbed the Maf off that & fitted it to the poorly one, which restored proper normal operation (had to clear the code too). No cost fix. It caused me to wonder just how many people have suffered a knackered Maf, have took it to a garage & have been sold half the parts shop in order to "Fix" it? Because I kinda knew the Maf had died just from experience & I was still half thinking "I wonder is the turbo gone? Or is it the fuel pump? Or maybe the timing has slipped?" - all plausible enough considering how badly it was running. If you weren't savvy, you'd buy all them theories & parts.. Bet loads have. :-( Bet loads have been sold dubious re-tests on non-faults too - I know I was today & I'm still kicking myself I fell for it & didn't go "Ok, Pal, point to the blown bulb please.." - must have been a moment of soft-headedness. Grr.
I've got one in the same codes + 2 more preheat circuit that will clear and brake fluid low that I now know isn't and permanent. I fitted and coded a new injector and it ran worse and same codes so I switched no1 with no2 and the fault stays on no2. Any ideas
Hey there, I have the same car 2010 1.5 dci and i had problems with the injector as well. I send it to change the injector due to a shaking and a weird noise to coming from injectors. After got fixed the noise of the injector has gone but the shaking is still there. It even gives me problems with the start in the morning. Do u know what it could have, it gave me code DF771

Did a dacia stepway 1.5 diesel the other month , it was cheaper from the dealers than local factors , programming easy , job done ,paid and gone 😂😂👍👍
I like driving the renaults but absolutely hate wrenching on them😂 my hands are to big
Great vid as always. Looks like thats the old trusted galaxy watch on your wrist 👌🏾
It's the best watch I've ever owned!!!!! And I'd be lost without it now

Well done baz only 3 Rooneys in that video . Diawn 😂
Have you ever taken a blower motor out of one of these? I need to remove one and it looks like a dash out job 😞

When coding the injectors.. does a battery tender need to be connected?

The air intake pipe is pipe is oily is this normal?
Injector squeeze? No, it’s Injector SEQUENCE.
So in general is it a bad engine is was thinking of getting a logan mcv 1.5dci 2019 plate for taxi work.

So how much are they each?
Does it always need coding, what happens if you just put it in?
