youre the first person to help me get the hang of logic pro thanks so much your channel is going to blow up especially rn with the free 90 day trial apple gave out
Yes man! Awesome that you’re taking advantage of the 90 day trial... it’s a gem for sure. Happy you found the content helpful as well. Thanks for the comment!
im a sucker for watching bass tutorials on laptop speakers, but very helpful anyways. love how you break down the theory behind every tweak without overcomplicating it
Totally agree with you on that one. I actually didn’t get into sound design until I purchased Serum and then once I was comfortable understanding how it works I went back to Alchemy. I still think Alchemy is underrated but it can definitely be intimidating! Thanks for watching 👍
Thank you! I have to humbly agree that I think it is a good way to go. When I was learning sound design a lot of the videos I would watch would get me the result that I wanted, but I didn't really understand what the knobs were doing and such. I really want to try and explain what each of the parameters do because that ultimately helps you in the long run make your own sounds. Thanks for watching and the comment!
Tony your content is amazing and you really help all the logic users out here. I don’t know if it’s possible but could you try and make a tutorial for automation?
Thank you so much! Really appreciate the kind words. Automation is definitely a good idea, I just have to construct some concepts that would work. Thanks for shout! 🤙
Thank you!! I think sound design is a steep learning curve but once you know what you’re doing and why it’s a lot of fun. Would love to get more people using Alchemy. Thanks for watching and the comment 🙌
Hey Paul, I have a MacBook Pro 16" w/ 64gb RAM and an 8-core i9 processor. That is overkill. Most modern MacBooks will run LPX it's more of a matter of how many tracks or high CPU plugins you'll be using. I would say as long as you have an SSD and I'd recommend 4GB of RAM you're probably going to be alright, at least to get started. Check the LPX specs sheet on Apple.com to be sure. Thanks for the shout!
Love your videos man, you make it so easy for beginners. Quick question? Everytime I loop my track or record a new one , the first note never plays. Why is that? Hopefully you can help
Try and moving the first midi note a bit inside the region. If you’re recording it yourself it’s basically impossible to be on time with every note. If you play the note even just a bit early it won’t play because it’s not triggered in the midi region. Does that make sense? Thanks for watching and glad you’re finding the content helpful 🙌
It's an awesome plugin and I agree it's great for drums or a sampler as well. I hope that LPX gets a facelift soon b/c I do think there's a lot of things that Ableton does better that could be implemented to make Logic a really awesome DAW. Thanks for the love + the comment!
Hey first of all thanks for all the amazing content. Secondly, I'm dying for a tutorial on synth plucks in alchemy. I see a ton using serum but I want to make sure I need it before I cave in and buy it. I've gotten pretty close manipulating 808 and upright bass samples but it's always a little muddy and I wish I could figure out how to make it out of waves. (little white bars by Terror Jr intro, 5th harmony work from home intro, etc.)
Hey Sam great shout! Synth plucks are a staple I should definitely try and make some like you suggested. To be completely honest, the oscillators in Serum are just better. Alchemy is pretty good but for now it takes second place. However, we should be able to make a sound like you’re talking about. Lemme mess around and see what I can come up with. Thanks for watching + the comment 🤙
Hello! I don't understand, why are you trying to reach the 0 dB, and not the - 18db (especially knowing that you are in pre fader monde 🤔) Great sound design tuto / thanks a lot :)
Tony Holiday I followed the steps you did in alchemy, but I don’t know what instrument is making the sound. There’s no sound when I did it. I tried a bass but it sounded weird. I thought alchemy had its own sounds

What instrument is alchemy changing because it says it’s an instrument but there’s no sound

Tony Holiday I followed the steps you did in alchemy, but I don’t know what instrument is making the sound. There’s no sound when I did it. I tried a bass but it sounded weird. I thought alchemy had its own sounds

Damn my logic doesnt have alchemy
