Matt Smith is the most 'comical' Doctor but Donna is probably one of the funniest characters ever which also brings out the funny side of David tennant
Donna is possibly one of the best if not the best New Who companion (not including Sarah Jane smith since she was a 4th doctor companion), mainly cause the main 2 companions before this being Rose for series 1 and 2, and Martha for series 3, were kind of centered on romance towards the Doctor, Donna on the other hand, is a classic Companionship... *being Friends*, which works fantastically. Also Peter Capaldi was in an episode before being casted as The Doctor, your not going crazy.
@@ToddReacts Capaldi playing a separate role was made into a plot point. Without overcomplicating the explanation, I'll just say that the Doctor subconsciously chose the face of someone they had met before to send their new incarnation a reminder.
I love how you said they were comical right before the edit took you to the more emotional moments XD This is my favourite pair: Ten and Donna. Doesn't get better than that =) You should watch Tennant and Tate doing Much Ado About Nothing. They really do work well together.
These two went on to play Beatrice and Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing on stage. DT guested on The Catherine Tate Show in a parody of A Christmas Carol, which is very funny. They also appear together in a couple of Red Nose Day charity comedy sketches.
I desparately want you to watch this show!! You would love these characters. This show is surprising emotional, and funny ... and just overall charming in so many different ways. And heartbreaking when it needs to be.
Yes,Peter Capaldi made an appearance in one episode, and also Karen Gillan!(who later will play Amy Pond with the 11th Doctor) btw when the Doctor regenerate, his new face is always the face of someone he met
@@obiwankenobi687 Actually there's a whole theory about this. One, Two and Three met in the Three Doctors, and then Five in the Five Doctors. So the older incarnations have seen their future incarnations' faces. Five met... I believe his name is Colonel Maxim? played by Colin Baker in The Arc of Infinity. War, Ten and Eleven met in The Day of the Doctor. Five also met Ten in Time Crash. And Twelve obviously got his face from Caecilius. Oh and the Fugitive Doctor met Thirteen. That's more of an established pattern of the prior incarnations seeing their future faces on other people than not. So there's a theory that a time lord must have seen a face before to regenerate into that face. Plus if we add the comics, novels and audios, I'm sure that we'd fully round out the list. I know Five, Six and Seven met in The Sirens of Time, and there's a novel where Two meets Four. And I'm pretty sure there's a comic where Nine, Ten, Eleven and Twelve meet each other. Not confirmed by any means, but pretty neat if true.
Yeah definitely the most comical companionship. Just true best friends who take the piss out of each other regularly. The only one I can recall who didn’t fall for the doctor as a sex interest or put him on a pedestal
So to answer some of your questions (and looks)... When the Tardis lands, it translates languages for whomever travels in it. So when they land in a place like Rome, they instantly start speaking roman. That's why Donna was asking "what happens if I say veni vidi vichi? what's it sound like?" lol and apparently it's welsh. also, this duo WAS more funny. Like a silly comedy. I imagine them like Catherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy or something. She really was his best friend! :)
Yes!! I love that you picked up on Peter having appeared during the 10th Doctor’s run. Because Who is so big a lot of actors get bit roles on the series and Peter had one of those roles (so did Karen Gillian) before being the 12th Doctor (and Amelia Pond). They built it into the show though for Peter. The Doctor chose that face because it reminded him of saving that family.
In 7:00 there Donna was asking the doctor, if the TARDIS translates every language automatically, what happenes if you speak a different language it is translating in. So in the episode there where in ancient rome and the TARDIS translated from English to latin, but if you speak latin to someone who speaks latin it would just sound of. Also Peter Capaldi in 2:00 is not playing the doctor, but a roman citizen in this one. But *spoilers* the 10th doctor remebers he has broken one of his rules to save a family from the vulcano eruption in Pompeii so he gave himself the same face to remind himself of that moment subconsciously.
Cathrine tate and david tennent have really good chemistry, they bounce off of each other really well. It’s why this edit seems funnier, they do genuinely work really well together. You can even see it in Cathrine tates show
This is my favorite DW duo. They are definitely funny. But the videos you've been watching have been edited to include the bigger dramatic moments from the Moffat era. The RTD era was much funnier, imo, and had fewer DRAMATIC speeches and OTT moments.
I don't like that this is pretty much the only Doctor and Companion duo that doesn't get romantic. The Doctor needs more 'just good friends' companions.
Catherine Tate has great comedic timing because she is a comedienne..lol..check out her Catherine Tate show where she plays a myriad of different characters, all written by her...she's very popular here in the UK .
I mean, Catherine Tate is an astounding comedian, but oh god, when it becomes emotional, it will be so emotional... Anyway, I don't know what kind of videos you watch, like what shows that you prefer to watch. So I'm must gonna recommend this youtube video, from an animated TV series from Malaysia. "Ejen Ali: Misi: Juang" which translate to "Agent Ali: Mission: Forward". It's basically just a tribute video, to keep on fighting against COVID-19 (a.k.a. Aliens...), thought you might be interested in some animated fight scene like that.
I was never a fan of either the actress, or the character when she first appeared. However, the chemistry with David Tennant, the character arc and the performance by Catherine Tate, now place Donna Noble as one of the best companions the series has ever had.
Well brilliant, what a lovely spoiler filled video that makes it completely pointless to actually watch the show now 🙄 🤦🏻♂️ why do people make you watch this stuff. Just. Watch. The. Show. Properly.
Matt Smith is the most 'comical' Doctor but Donna is probably one of the funniest characters ever which also brings out the funny side of David tennant
David Donna def are the best duo from 10s era. Also had the best episodes I think
And also, Catherine Tate is a comedian, so that probably plays into it as well
Lmao Peter capaldi was in a episode so you weren't hallucinating haha
its actually canon that the doctor chose that face to remind himself to not succumb to his darker impulses
Not to mention the episode of Torchwood he was in as well.

She and Rory are tied for first for me

Hands down the best companion of the RTD era

I love how Donna and ten just vibe with each other. They really were best friends.

The Doctor and Donna were the best. She was the big sister he desperately needed and couldn't keep
I love how even thousands of years he doesn’t hesitate to say that she’s his best friend in the world.
Yes,Peter Capaldi made an appearance in one episode, and also Karen Gillan!(who later will play Amy Pond with the 11th Doctor)

No it’s not. Just sometimes it is

@@bookswithike3256I guess most doctors have met their future selves but that feels like cheating tbh
Donna is definitely one of my favourite characters. And she's just as funny in real life! I think her actor is called Katherine?? Could be wrong tho
Yeah her names Catherine Tate she a hilarious comedian she had her own show he should check her stuff out
@@glasgowisgoingtobethere9963 yes he definitely should

We needed some comic relief after rose. it was smart to give him a best mate instead of another love interest

My favorite companion in new who.
That was a fine reaction
Also still waiting for "9 being a madlad" reaction

Tennant isn't my favourite Doctor but I adore the pairing of Ten and Donna! (Twelve, Bill and Nardole are probably not very far behind)
I like it better as best friends rather then I wana kiss and make out with the doctor vibes some of the others have had.
Donna Catherine Tate is a comedian it’s what she does for a living
React to eleven lovely
