So, in summary: 1. Most players should start with the Campaign mode. New players should also play the Jurassic Park: Chaos Theory mode as it is a tutorial and introduces park building mechanics. Old players should still play the Jurassic Park: Chaos Theory mode for at least sometime. For trying to get into Sandbox mode as quickly as possible, you’ll want to do Challenge mode, to which you’ll unlock most dinosaur species and buildings if you do Canada on easy mode. Other dinosaurs such as Indominus Rex and Indoraptor will be unlocked in the Chaos Theory modes. 2. You need to get wider paths. Park rating is determined by your income now. 3. Get medium sized buildings ASAP. You should also not put anymore Interior Modules once all of your Configurations have a check mark on the right side. 4. Get a power station ASAP. Using Backup Generators as your main power source will make you go bankrupt. 5. When playing on Sandbox mode and recruiting scientists, go for scientists with the Genetics and Welfare skills as much as possible and ignore the ones with the Logistics skill. For the scientist’s traits, you should focus on traits that decrease task time and task cost. 6. If you have many dinosaurs in one area, try to limit the amount of dinosaurs with the Aggressive trait. 7. When starting Challenge mode on Jurassic and maybe Hard difficulty, you should not need most if not all of the buildings in the Operations category within the first 5 to 10 minutes. Unless you already know if your dinosaurs are happy, you will need the Response Facility. You shouldn’t need more than one Hatchery in your park and remember to transport your dinosaurs via airlift. 8. Don’t mix small carnivores with any other dinosaur and any carnivores that likes compsognathus will eat them unless you’re on Sandbox mode. 9. Unless you’re in a calamity, if you have a broken fence, you can pause time, delete that broken fence and place a different fence. If your dinosaur is breaking a fence, you can pause time and add another layer of fences behind the fence the dinosaur is breaking. You should use weaker fences as another layer of fences when your dinosaur is breaking out as it is quicker to build. 10. Unless you have 1 to 2 million dollars or more, storms and calamities will constantly make you go bankrupt. You should also want a lot of storm shelters.
@@dyingdino2743 yeh, you don’t even prk build in the FK Chaos Theory. I just wrapped up getting every dino i can from Canada, and still no indoraptor in sight. I think i heard you can finish the list in Canada and Germany combined
Not all big carnivores eat compsognathus, as far as in know(i got this in my game). My ceratosaurus and gigantosaurus dont eat them. I dont know why because my raptors instantly hunted them but maybe some big Carnivores can live with them without eating them
I mean you could make a park, turn on high calamities, and just leave it be for a few hours. Many of your buildings will be destroyed. If you add some dinosaurs and set breakouts to high they will probably break a lot of fences too.
A good addition to the game would have been a separate path for ranger vehicles specifically, that way guests will stick to their own path and you can drive your vehicles on their own paths without pushing guests out of the way.
Ranger AI at the Ranger station is so bad. they do a 5 point turn around to park and stuff, you know these rangers in real life would be flying in and out barely parking straight.. I wish you could flip buildings atleast because they struggle so much coming in and out
I discovered instead of replacing broken fences with another fence, which takes some time, you can place a gate over the fence in the pause menu then delete it and it's instantly fixed
I think its anoying how you get these bad random traits etc. And a lot of other stuff like the more anoying scientists stuff and park management. Power tip! Don’t make the same mistake I did. When building out you power grid be sure to deactivate your backup generators…I was on triple speed and randomly my t-Rex’s were running a muck and half my park was without power. Paused and found out that where I thought I was connected to a substation was actually a backup generator!
from what i learned from forum and game, if you have a dinosaurs constant fighting, probably means that one is dominant, but not strong enough to actualy win, so the dominant one will keep trying to fight the alpha to become alpha and losing. one way to stop this is to hatch a new dinosaur, specifically bred to be the alpha, with dominance and strong traits, once this new one than establishes dominance over the others and becomes the alpha, the rest calms down. so having 1 aggresive dinosaur in the pack may not be bad, as long as you make sure its stronger than the rest (give it some defensive/offensive traits too)
Additional tip of what helped in challenge mode: Always check the mission and do the ones who specifically dont require you to spend money i.e. Let your dinosaurs be disease free for 10 minutes or have no scientist quit. Easy passive income. Or atleast if rng sucks and the missions available do require you to spend money, choose the one who have the least money required
Germany Challenge mode is actually the easiest to unlock everything, alot of space, almost no storms, only downside is you dont get genetic modifications and you get less carnivores but you basically get everything else, also you can create an easy mode save, unlock everything, then just restart the challenge and still have everything unlocked. You can also get basically every carnivore if you do the same thing on the Northwestern US map
With the hatchery being 250K, but also being able to transport dinos immediately, a lot better than the 400K in the first one, and having to link it to an exhibit and capturing and transporting....the new one is still much better even with the issues with money.
You forgot about customizing the amenities, I always have chairs on both the roofs and the entrance because it also helps with the amenities being overcrowded, ashame that there isn't a resting area building like in JP:OG but I guess the hotels with the classic design works since they kinda look like JP:OG resting areas. Also guests can't interact with chair decorations (from the decorations tap) which should be a thing with controlling the overcrowding issue, I get that players want to recreate JP or JW but again the decorations are basically static objects with no function (yes I tried the lights and again static).
Just started playing the game and i find the campaign to be brilliant, this definitely goes into the direction it should, involving you deeper with events, maybe JWE3 will have a grand campaign where you play multiple characters at time in a 3rd or 1st person mystery, survival game, with dinosaurs on the lose, who knows how many illegal gangs want their hands on em and breed them. The world forever changed. The story could be, you building a park and some rival or criminal gang starts messing things up for you, dinosaurs escape, guests get trapped, transponders, communication down, all the while there is a storm. So you are forced to put things back together again, playing those various roles of those characters. Chasing down leads, surviving dinosaurs that got set free by the terrorists. Etc. But yes, JWE2 campaign is engaging, with you going to various places in the world to deal with the wild animals and sort them out.
I figured that out with the stores. The whole metric thing. But for some reason on my lost world chaos theory the store was constantly fluctuating between profit and horrible loss and the people were constantly fluctuating as well. No idea what that was about. Nothing else in the park was changing. I would get a check on all 4 demographics but the store or whatever would stay empty and at a loss. Super weird.
I can only use the emergency generators, it seems like anytime I use the old ones I go bankrupt. I finished campaign and every chaos theory only using backup generators. And I’ve started challenge mode hard with no problems with them so far.
If a monorail station is damaged during a storm, to get guest numbers up again I found it quicker to delete the damaged building and then rebuild it once funds are available
Thank you this helped me allot! I didn't realize I was adding more things to my shops was making me never make a profit and I couldn't understand why. Now I do! Thanks again!!!
The first sandbox park I'm going to build is a recreation of the Jurassic Park from the novel. I only have one problem. Othnielia (Nanosaurus), Hypsilophodon and Callovosaurus aren't in the game. The closest relative to all of them would be Dryosaurus but I can't have 71 Dryosaurus in my Park, can I? After some research I found out Callovosaurus in the german translation (The one I have) is Microceratops in the english original for some unknown reason. The closest thing to those would be Homalocephale I guess. Seems like I have to improvise a little bit.
I never allow an aggressive dino due to park tours, park rangers, and not needing the med vehicle attacked when they enter that pen. I make sure all my carnivores are passive and they usually ends up very good for everyone.
Thanks so much for the help. Been playing for a few days now and was caught a bit in a loop where I couldn’t get 1000 visitors and excavation for large carnivores were extortionate. Gonna go back on tomorrow and put some of these tips into action
You are a Legend, you have no idea how many things i learned from this video. Was getting really frustrated with the game, but with this new knowledge im eager to get back into the game and make them munyz. Thanks a millon.
A lot of great information for someone who has never played before and needs help like myself! Thanks man! I am still on the ropes about buying it to be honest with the high price tag but I am interested in it and have been trying to figure out if it is really for me or not. So soaking this stuff up!
Great video, i definitely learned the hard way with co habing my dinos, i had dilos and troodons together thinking they would be fine, they did nothing but fight and eat each other, i also thought what was cool, i had one dilo had rabies, and the other dilo attacked and killed it and the rabies never spread, not sure if thats normal or not but i thought it was pretty cool
Just to point out, evolution 1 is the only one where you have to unlock the dinosaurs to then use them in sandbox, you instantly get them in sandbox however you can turn expeditions on to make it like the other modes
Oh. People usually jump straight into sandbox and find out they havent got anything. DO CHAOS MODE OR CAMPAIGN FIRST. Youve probaly mentioned that but I havent stated yet
Can you unlock everything except extra skins through just campaign and Chaos Theory? Or are there some dinosaurs and maps and such that are unlocked by JUST challenge mode?
The cost of creating the dinosaurs with synthesizing then incubate, hire new scientists with the cost of them to dig & rest, cost of fuel. Makes the game so frustrating
I think it might be extended when dominion releases, dominion got delayed because of covid so they may have had to remove a lot of the campaign to not give spoilers
given i'm coming in as someone whose barely read the news about Evo 2, I think a majority of playtime is going to come from Chaos theory given it goes back to parks based on those movies.
Considering that the game was originally meant to be released along side Dominion, and Dominion being pushed back to next year, it's very likely that part of the main campaign (along with some other content) was left out of the initial release to avoid massive spoilers, same with the Dominion Giganotosaurus design and presumably the feathered dinosaurs that will appear in the film. They'll probably release a part 2 for the campaign closer to the films release. At the same time we still have 4 hours of campaign, sandbox, challenge and Chaos Theory mode. So we still have a lot of content to play.
Wait you need to do challenge mode to unlock all the dinosaurs just to use them in Sand box mode or can you unlock all of them doing the chaos theory mode?
Surprisingly, to get 5 stars in challenge mode, you can use small amenities and no large or medium. Tested it out of Canada map, worked, but for chaos theory and any map, use medium.
I was stuck on challenge mode easy 4.9 stars for + 2 hours past par time because I had to customize the guest shops. And I here I was thinking making the paths wider didn't matter. Also carnivore feeders can make Dino's sick and one got rabies and I couldn't unlock the medicine even though I was taking pictures of a dino with rabies which is the requirement to unlock. And a snow storm hit making the vehicles not work couldn't see sick Dino's that was a real set back. I feel like I'm having trouble with scanning Dino's sickness. I have to manually scan them and even then it doesn't always work. Then I have to unlock and research the medicine.
I once got stuck making a 5 star park in the first game rarely I would be able to get 4 stars but never was able to keep it and no guide I found helped that much so I stopped playing got this game thinking it be better and easier it was better and bit easier but now I'm stuck at a part in campaign mode so I'm trying to figure it out so I hope this guide does help
Oh wow this video blown my mind and also made me feel abit stupid that I did not notice these sooner. The power one I quickly learned myself after being forced to restart Jurassic Park Chaos theory 3 time because money got that bad. I did not know about the hatchery being able to airlift. I think I am blind lol. I used the old method of making a fenced off area to release the dinos then send them to sleep and move them to their enclosure. I also did not know about the paths but I did naturally quickly aim for the biggest paths and I did not know about how the shops work I just fully filled them making them all ticked. Some shops make a lot of profit but overs just goes really bad but I just left them since they kinda balance themselves out. I am definitely going back to this very stressful game and actually enjoy it more knowing how things work.
Also question if you get a dino like a rex if u give it a 25% to get all the traits like strong fit long lived could u get a dino with all the traits??
Not to sound like a total twat, but just wanted to say I REALLY appreciate your content. It's helped so much since the first game and always enjoy your vids 😊

With the hatchery being 250K, but also being able to transport dinos immediately, a lot better than the 400K in the first one, and having to link it to an exhibit and capturing and transporting....the new one is still much better even with the issues with money.
I pre ordered the game and it came today, I've already completed campaign and chaos theory for JP1 😂
I live in England btw
Wait is it released in England? I live here too and I’m confused
@@viper56tl36 idk mate, it came in the post and I was so confused 😂
@@flashverine2478 may be a mistake, I’ll try and get it to start when I have access to my Xbox. Will update then

Yeah it’s been frustrating me a lot. I really hope it gets fixed soon. I constantly have to change modules in order for it to gain profit.
Damn I thought I just sucked
well i'm feeling a little better about my frustration of this particular situation knowing it's not just me
16:41 mind blown, I didn't even notice that when I started playing this, just used to doing it the old way.
Best in slot thank you for all the content I really like all your JWE stuff and content I always watch you on UA-cam thanks for all the tips! :)
Love the nod back to JPOG mechanics ❤️
OMG I'm getting this tomorrow!!!
Ive been stuck in Sims 4 and Cities Skylines .....
Comes out here in Australia today!! Picking up my physical preorder when the shops open in 3 hours
You saved me a lot of time, just finished the campaign and felt so lost
The first money tip was a life saver! Couldn’t get past 4.5 stars on the first chaos theory because I was making $900k not $1million for the 5 stars!
Im gonna use some of that in my future videos, Thanks!
I can only use the emergency generators, it seems like anytime I use the old ones I go bankrupt. I finished campaign and every chaos theory only using backup generators. And I’ve started challenge mode hard with no problems with them so far.
Best in slot you should do a video on everything Frontier needs to fix/add like campaign maps in Sandbox, more sandbox options and such
If a monorail station is damaged during a storm, to get guest numbers up again I found it quicker to delete the damaged building and then rebuild it once funds are available
This was the most perfect guide i have ever seen 😌
Thank you
Thank you this helped me allot!
Jurassic mode was the Dark Souls of park builders, and it was beautiful because of it.
I never allow an aggressive dino due to park tours, park rangers, and not needing the med vehicle attacked when they enter that pen.
I make sure all my carnivores are passive and they usually ends up very good for everyone.
The staff needs a little excitement in their boring lives.
@ The dinosaurs being around is the excitement, my park is one of respect and kindness.
5 stars are really tight this time around, you actually have to "manage" your park.
Maximizing amenties sales is vital
I hope the terrain painting on sandbox is not just for the map biome
It seems to be, we need less restrictions, I don't even think we can have redwood trees in tropical biomes yet
@@LeeH1989 It seems silly that they put in the work to make different foliage sets but don’t make the most of them and let us have them all at once!
@@reubensaraiva8184 Its really disappointing, it should be available at least on PC and current gen if last gen can't handle it
@@reubensaraiva8184 I agree, having temperate trees on a dessert map would be super cool for aviary builds/oasis.
i really cant wait, i've just pre-oredered the game😍
Same

Wait, have fun? I never thought of that.... Thanks BestinSlot.
The Spino thumbnails are back, i see 😏
Great video, i definitely learned the hard way with co habing my dinos, i had dilos and troodons together thinking they would be fine, they did nothing but fight and eat each other, i also thought what was cool, i had one dilo had rabies, and the other dilo attacked and killed it and the rabies never spread, not sure if thats normal or not but i thought it was pretty cool
This was super helpful even though I’m a vet JWE1 player! Thanks for the tips!
Thanks for a great video I'm so excited about jwe2
Great tips! I was stuck in a map and couldnt get my rating up! Untill i watched your video and expanded to wide paths.. voila i suddenly won XD
I will be going to pick my game up tuesday morning and playing it all day. I am excited for this game. I already have a few park ideas.
Just to point out, evolution 1 is the only one where you have to unlock the dinosaurs to then use them in sandbox, you instantly get them in sandbox however you can turn expeditions on to make it like the other modes
Thanks SO much for explaining the shops! I had no idea what I was doing.
I chuckled when you said “my guest count dipped a little bit over there because my raptors ate everyone” so casually
Absolutely awesome tips and vid bestinslot can't wait to play this tomorrow 🤓👍🦕🦖
Well I’ll be sure to keep these in mind for when I get the game.
Oh. People usually jump straight into sandbox and find out they havent got anything. DO CHAOS MODE OR CAMPAIGN FIRST. Youve probaly mentioned that but I havent stated yet
The fact that the game actually came out in 9th of november. The day of my birthday makes me kinda happy
Can you unlock everything except extra skins through just campaign and Chaos Theory? Or are there some dinosaurs and maps and such that are unlocked by JUST challenge mode?
After watch this full video. Thank you. This was very help and exactly what I was looking for.
Do K have to play Challenge mode to unlock the dinosaurs or can I just play campaign and chaos theory mode? (I don’t like stressful gameplay)
BestlinSlot, are you going to talk about how short was campaign and expeculation about if it will continue?
I have a feeling that campaign was supposed to go with dominion so they stopped it or the patch update will fill the rest
Wtf is expeculation
@@kanahbis3236 you know what he meant
@Dodo Zwyczajne yea that’s what I think too
@@kanahbis3236 a mix of Guessing and Predicting?
Do you think you make a rough compatibility guide I wanted to what changed and who can go together.
The cost of creating the dinosaurs with synthesizing then incubate, hire new scientists with the cost of them to dig & rest, cost of fuel. Makes the game so frustrating
4 hours for the campaign?? That is incredibly disappointing.
I think it might be extended when dominion releases, dominion got delayed because of covid so they may have had to remove a lot of the campaign to not give spoilers
Well it's not like a regular game lol
given i'm coming in as someone whose barely read the news about Evo 2, I think a majority of playtime is going to come from Chaos theory given it goes back to parks based on those movies.
Sounds about right for me. I can't stand super long campaigns. Four hours is still long, as far as I'm concerned.
So we still have a lot of content to play.
do the dinos have seprate sleep and "sit animations" im mainly looking at carno for example? O,o
Yes, they do. You can also see them do cool stuff while they're laying down resting, like scratching their neck or head.
Not all of the animations are wholly unique. A lot of them are shared by more than one species.
Wait you need to do challenge mode to unlock all the dinosaurs just to use them in Sand box mode or can you unlock all of them doing the chaos theory mode?
BestInSlot carrying the JWE community with these videos
For storms I open all the shelters and deactivate all the amenities. Also take pictures with chopper to get extra cash to survive the storm.
Great tips and advice for the game, thanks 👍
Surprisingly, to get 5 stars in challenge mode, you can use small amenities and no large or medium. Tested it out of Canada map, worked, but for chaos theory and any map, use medium.
Side note: you need the science centre to extract fossils
Thanks man. I was really struggling with the game.
Thank you for the advice on the amenity modules. My park income just skyrocketed. I was trying to appease customers I didn’t have. 😂
Thxs for the tip. Go str8 to challenge mode canada got it.
Not to sound like a total twat, but just wanted to say I REALLY appreciate your content. It's helped so much since the first game and always enjoy your vids 😊
Im new to the game. Came across your video and has really helped. Thanks.
