Frontier added a duplication penalty to the Innovation Centers after this video came out. You can still build up to 11 guest attractions if you research all the modules but then you plateau and have to start releasing dinosaurs to progress. I recommend storing $5 million on Easy before releasing dinos and at least $10 million on Jurassic. I started with dinos with $8 million in reserve on Jurassic and went below $100K a few times due to storms and disease outbreaks.
You need to use as much space as possible to achieve this. Your rating and dinosaurs species requirement mean nothing at the end of the day, however it becomes easier when you haven't acheived the required rating yet. Once you're over the required rating, the building won't attract as much people. When placing shops, look at the predicted amount of guests before placing. If It's below 100, use a small amenity, 100-150 use a medium amenity, above that use a large. The amenities are essentially your money makers during the whole process haha! Transportation is one of the most important parts, a tip for that would be to build any advancements you need to add, and let all the tracks build before connecting it to any pre-existing tracks. This will keep the downtime short, as having low transport will easily knock you down a few stars and could mean failure. Get wide paths as soon as you can, and large hotels aren't necessary in my opinion, since you could use small hotels as a more efficient money maker that attracts people to certain spots. When repairing buildings after a storm, don't repair the response facility first, and it might be quicker to manually repair things since on some maps the vehicles have a hard time getting around. My final tip is if you ever decide you want dinosaurs, your stars will go down to zero because the dinosaur welfare will be zero. It'll take a couple minutes to recover, so make sure you have a lot of money before doing that. I've managed to 5 star every challenge except the 4th map doing all this
When you research advanced attractions, you can modify them. If you have a cinema, and a mini golf, and a lab tour, they don’t get the negatives. They’re 100 appeal each
I hate having to unlock everything in different parts of the game, especially behind Challenge Modes and modes you probably wont want to to do. I love how Bestinslot does his best to make his videos helpful and fun at the same time. Ive been folllowing him forever
Frontier did nerf this a bit by adding a penalty for multiple Innovation Centers. But it's still very doable, it'll just be a bit slower. Unlocking all of the Guest Attraction options (Cinema, Gym, Lab Tour, Rock-Climbing, etc) will still give big boosts to park rating and income by building one of each..
Absolutely obnoxious when developers spend their energy to thwart legitimate player strategies instead of fixing the post-DLC broken achievement (I Can See Everything), the broken amenity system where shops won't attract guests until you demolish them and build an exact duplicate in its place, dinos phasing right through fences, or my favorite, how the game completely crashes my Xbox every 2 to 3 hours of play time even after clearing the cache and reinstalling the game.
@@aganosxvii5079 Late build One S (early 2020) which I admit is a low end model for this game. PS4 players report the same problem. Probably would have been better not to release it for the previous generation at all if it crashes to whole system.
And with an update, the centers provide 250 points instead of 100. I easily got to 4 stars filling up that middle area with centers and had over 100% appeal. I did not know what to do after that. I released 11/11 dinos but nothing happened.
Try getting big amenities and make sure to modify their interior for maximum profit. Also try to go beyond 100% appeal and just keep expanding the park, add railways to travel easier, keep shelter and restroom at 100% and you should get there.
Thanks a bunch, Slot! I can’t complete the Jurassic World Chaos Theory mission because of frequent storms and dinosaurs dying left and right, so I’ve been a bit scared to try out challenge mode. Really hoping this helps when I do get around to it!
@@Dan55888 i did. It's tough but I actually found the first mission harder. When you get the storm warning save it. If the tornado is that bad reload your save. A few times I didn't even get tornados just a mild storm. Bit of a cheese but helped loads as the storms are savage.
Carnivores are big rating boosters and helps you stay afloat if, lets say your T-Rex dies, or what not. Click on the dinosaurs in the hatchery list even if you do not have the genomes for them see what their appeal rating is to find out the best Dinosaurs to have in the park and go after to compensate for big deal dinosaurs' deaths till you can afford to the dig sites you need like the Monosaurs and T-Rex again which costs tons of money for those dig sites. Just an example how I stay afloat in the long run if your having a hard time finishing a scenario.
I recently started with JWE2 and one thing I noticed is a bug in Chaos Theory JP where moving your attraction will make each new repositioning of the same building count as a duplicate.
Saw this in another vid. If you build a grid of fences like on the other side of the buildable area, the storms will go right for the fences, leave them damaged and no more storms will hit the park because you already have signifigant damage ;)
That worked in JWE1 but Frontier tweaked the tornados in JWE2 to go after actual buildings. I built a 4x4 densely packed fence grid on the far side of my park just like I did in JWE1 and made a save about 15 seconds before I got a storm warning. I reloaded that save multiple times and in the 7 attempts where a tornado spawned, it always went straight through my buildings and never went near the trap.
This method works on most of the challenge maps, but the thing you also have to remember is stars are achieved by profit. If you start to plateau, and you've filled most of your park with innovation centers, check your amenities and see if they are generating profit or if they are full and need to be upgraded from small to medium or large.
You can indeed hit 5 * using this method. Granted I am on easy mode but yeah. Following your method, my park hit 3 star by your 15 minute mark lol thanks man. You have given me the ability to now fully enjoy this game at my own pace.

I've done Canada and the UK on Jurassic difficulty without discovering this tip, wish I had it sooner! It took 25 hours for Canada and 21 for UK and mucho swearing and headaches were had. However I do have a tip if people want to do it the hard way with dinosaurs and that is that I did not build enclosures for the dinosaurs, I instead enclosed the humans with a fence and let the dinosaurs roam free (herbivores) in the big open space. If you only have water in front of your viewing gallery then the dinosaurs are always visible and don't wander off, but it removes the space issue especially for he bigger brachiasaurus. I amassed 41 million by just letting more herbivores out into the giant safari and only built the lagoon for the mosasaurus. Took a while, granted, but it got me off and running much quicker, did the same on the UK map, completed that one this morning, now I'm doing northwest USA. Germany is a whole other matter! Gah
I wish this still worked. Lol. They have patched this now. The innovation center gives 250 appeal now, but the appeal is negated when you add a second one. The other building has more mods to add to it so you can have more of those buildings, but you cant double the same mod in the building or it negates the new building.
Something I did that helped rack up the money was, after doing the researching I wanted/needed, I fired most of my scientists and waited to hire ones that did cheaper excavations, synthesis, and incubating. Without scientists mooching your income it can increase really fast, and the cheaper X scientists will help the money you've made last. Also don't try what I did and leave it going while at work, because it will still give you those game-pausing choices.

I don't know why challenge mode ramps up in difficulty so badly. Like the jump from Medium to Hard and Jurassic is insane and really took away a lot of the joy for me! Thanks to this video (and the amazing reddit post) i can just let it build up a ton of cash and watch a movie like megamind or a show like... well you get the idea!
Jurassic isn't really that difficult unless you're shooting for par. Then again I think all levels of difficulty can be quite difficult at achieving par because the time decreases the easier you go.
I already got medium on Canada, and on the way with Germany though it's taking a bit, but I may try this out with the Jurassic difficulty on some of them.
Regardless of the difficulty, when you unlock a bunch of things in one of the locations and get a five star rating, when you do another location, will everything unlocked stay unlocked for the next setting location?
If u change the modules on the guest attractions then it doesn’t have duplicates. For example if u have a cinema and a aquarium it wont make u loose appeal
If you're not concerned with making the par time, this is one of the best things to do for the Northwest USA hard challenge park, since you'll only have access you a limited number of small herbivores (only Struthio at the start), and you can't invest in Carnivore feeders until you're at 1.5 stars, so the only way to feed your Ceratosaurus' and Dilophosaurus' is with Struthiomimus.
Thank you both for the idea! It's terrible that a dinosaur park simulator has to remove the dinosaurs in order to have a pleasant experience in challenge mode haha.
Apparently, they rebalanced the injury/disease issues with the first patch, so things should get easier. Even though, especially for Jurassic Challenge mode, diseases are part of the challenge so, in that case they'll still happen.
This will be really helpful for getting all of the cosmetics unlocked, thanks a massive lot! If it's possible to unlock more Guest Attraction options this way, then you could put more of them in and have them be something different.
10:35 You keep repeating that it doesn't matter hotels are placed, but it kind of does. Not in this particular case (guest attractions only), but in general gameplay. They have a big viewing radius. Dinosaurs away from view have 0 appeal (which ultimately interferes with your park rating). The best way to place your hotels is to have them around "blind" spots of your enclosures (areas that your viewing galleries don't cover), so that dinosaurs are viewable at all times. Not only that, but they increase the need for amenities, so instead of placing a bunch of shorter paths across the main path leading to different core guest buildings like you did here (10:45), it's wise to have a long path next to enclosures with restroom/amenity 1/amenity 2/amenity 3/shelter/hotel, 'cause then guests are forced to pass by the amenities to get anywhere of interest. Also, shelter coverage is less effective if you have loads of short paths all over the place.
This is a great idea for those struggling with getting started on challenge mode...like me lol but like you said, I prefer to do it the old fashioned way. Mostly bc I am still working on Chaos Theory and if I can master challenge mode, Chaos theory will be much easier
I've achieved success with this in the Germany Park on hard difficulty, but once I hit 2.5 stars, I switched and used the dinosaurs, which helped me reach 5 stars thanks to almost 10 plesiosaurus, 2 Kronosaurus, 2 Apatosaurus, about 8 Struthiomimus, 1 Nodosaurus, and 1 Mosasaurus. After seeing the Reddit post, I'm eager to try this out on Hard Difficulty on the other maps, but especially the Southwest US. That in my opinion is the hardest challenge map.
THIS has helped me so much with getting to a 5 star park with most of the challenge modes. Build up a hefty savings and then just do what you need to in order to get the 5 stars. Canada I watched another video and it said to get the Brachy, every time I got that jerk it would not stay happy and would break out despite what I did to make sure it was content. Watching this I was able to keep funds up, have a good savings and 5 star Canada hard mode without any issues and no Brachy either!
I actually found this post a few days ago, so glad you shared! My only problem is I’ve been experiencing a bug with the attractions, that if you move or demolish one (and it’s a different attraction than any others), it still counts as you having more than one. Hopefully this gets fixed though 😊 This method has really been helping me with Hard Germany
@@BestInSlotGaming I was wondering if you could help me, I'm on challenge mode northwest USA and there is no more scientists left to recruit like It says recruit new scientist but when I go to recruit a new on there's none there? Fun fact: money is accounted diffrently depending on language. While in english you count like this: 120.000, I (playing in polish) have numbers like $159,27.
You now get a penalty when you have multiple innovation centers and still get a penalty when you have multiple attractions so this method is no longer viable.
Glad to see the cheese strategies are being developed, I feel foolish for working and sweating hard when besting all the Jurassic challenge maps in this game.
I have now completed two Challenge modes on Hard (5 Stars) using mostly this strategy. I will only create attractions to the point of close to 3 stars, then add in dinosaurs. At that point, you usually have decent money, and a lot of other things unlocked(like better fences). After you put the initial Attraction (Movie Theater), you can unlock other attractions(Mini Golf, Arcade, Lab, etc). Try only placing the ones that benefit the people coming to visit the park(adventure, nature, etc).
"the problem with challenges are dinosaur-related" meanwhile, dealing with everything locked from the start, limited budget and 3x salaries scientists: "I'm never gonna financially recover from this"
Does anyone know if custom challenges for challenge mode give you the same rewards? Such as I make a challenge that is medium difficulty or higher, would it give the rewards and a normal challenge mode?
6/29/2022: Tried this and it looks like they fixed it and made it so that not only the attraction centers but also the innovation centers cause negative appeal when placing duplicates :,> I missed my chance to massive profit, but at least i can get minor profit
Could you do a tutorial on how to make the Northwest USA challenge hard difficulty easier, because it is basically nearly an all Carnivore challenge and the main problems with it is the feeders are unlocked when you reach 1.5 stars and only small amount of herbivores with lowest appeal of any dinosaur.
Nice guide! I should use more attractions and inno centers in my parks after seeing this. I have completed Canada and Germany challenge on hard. Want to do the last one now but was a bit anxious of the map layout. This will help with that. So thank you!
It probably works but kinda defeats the object of playing the game, the challenges aren't that difficult as Canada on jurassic difficulty took 4hrs out of 9hrs to get 5 stars which leaves a lot of margin for error.
Thanks this really helped me out too though it now gives you a penalty for multiple innovation centers but still this allowed me to get a profitable start which lead to a great park

Jurassic isn't really that difficult unless you're shooting for par. Then again I think all levels of difficulty can be quite difficult at achieving par because the time decreases the easier you go.
I'm sure this is gonna help a lot of people, thanks for showing us, BIS!
I already got medium on Canada, and on the way with Germany though it's taking a bit, but I may try this out with the Jurassic difficulty on some of them.
I’ve achieved 5 stars in Challenge mode England! Thank you for your big tip. Te mando un abrazo y gracias hermano. I’ve just suscribe
Regardless of the difficulty, when you unlock a bunch of things in one of the locations and get a five star rating, when you do another location, will everything unlocked stay unlocked for the next setting location?
It's super easy, barely an inconvenience!
I'm gonna need to you to get all the way off my back about my park's design...
@@kurtpaulsen6579 Well lemme just get off that thing! XD
Challenge mode is TIGHT!
@@tacticalbear7903 XD
Thank you SO much, I've been struggling with Canada for over a week
If u change the modules on the guest attractions then it doesn’t have duplicates. For example if u have a cinema and a aquarium it wont make u loose appeal
Yeah but you only have done module by default and the research is expensive.
@@BestInSlotGaming the first module unlock is pretty cheap actually, and it unlocks like 5 additional types
@@MrReno888 they work and it's an option, I just don't think it's that necessary, should have mentioned it though
I did it the old fashioned way, and it was pretty fun lol. Got all my unlocks done now :)
IM DYING @6:36 . Man just couldn’t find an escape to that
When you start this map there is already a free dino walking in the north of the map.
This is so handy to get the platinum trophy for this game on ps where you need to complete all the challenges on Jurassic difficulty
With the latest additions, Dimetrodon makes a good starting carnivore as it doesn't attack plant eaters... most of the time
you can use dlc dinos on challenge mode?
Chaos theory is dead easy tbh, I just finished them all
@@bearwynn yea some of them are easy but not everyone is such a "boss" gamer... 🙄
Super happy this video was made since I’ve already ran out of maps to use
This is gonna help getting 1.5 stars to get feeders in the carno park
When I literally heard you say you can make money and everything without having dinosaurs in the park my mind went to the Thanos meme, “impossible”.
I had that pop up, it was always there, but it wasn't actually changing my rating
@@BestInSlotGaming I was wondering if you could help me, I'm on challenge mode northwest USA and there is no more scientists left to recruit like It says recruit new scientist but when I go to recruit a new on there's none there? I've spent at least a day trying to fix this but I haven't found anything could you plz help?
Amazing video, it’s really helpful, and even better that you didn’t take the Idea and take the fame. Good job
2 years later and this method helped me beat my first Jurassic Mode Map, thank yu 💙
This is a big brain strat
Why did you not get a penalty for duplicate innovation centers just wondering because i did for some reason and i can't figure out why
not sure if you know by now, or if anyone told you, but 'Don't lose scientists' countdown resets if you fire a scientist
These tips work! Finally feel like I’m getting somewhere with this game.
This entire video is a piece of the puzzle needed for me to make a movie accurate Jurassic world, thank you Mr. Sloth.
Thank You Very Much!!! Fantastic video!!!
I've noticed every shop makes a profit with fish tank or aquarium and fossil display lol 😆 nothing else works lol
Hey man, I scoped this game a while ago. Word is I looted out for it through steam because of your vidz. Thanks homie!
Have they nerfed the innovation centre now because its not increasing my appeal it acts like the cinema, useless as more get duplicated?
this basically creates the scenerio where they actualy give you what you should need to make a real dinosaur park
That's awesome. Also, you could put in more attractions once you unlock more than just a cinema, so you don't have duplicates.
I NEED HELP! It says that I have to many duplicates in my park of innovation centres after the camp cretaceous update!?!?
Damn I think they fixed this glitch with the innovation centre it’s not nearly as good now
"the problem with challenges are dinosaur-related"
meanwhile, dealing with everything locked from the start, limited budget and 3x salaries scientists: "I'm never gonna financially recover from this"
Even if it I don't end up struggling on Challenge Mode when I get this game I still might do this just to see if I can.
Great help! Thank you very much.
1:10 This sounds like some SpiffingBrit BS i love it
"hold my beer, I need to finish all challenges real quick!"
Does anyone know if custom challenges for challenge mode give you the same rewards? Such as I make a challenge that is medium difficulty or higher, would it give the rewards and a normal challenge mode?
they're not park guests their Park workers. unless you're using mods you cannot get customers unless you have a dinosaur in your Park
Just started the second challenge map after completing the first one on hard I’m going through them on hard thirst then I might try them on Jurassic
My hope is the next game you can go straight to sandbox without unlocking anything
3:30 same dude... same.
Yes I'm going to use this! Hell I'm going to get it going and let it run all day while I'm working and just fix the storm damage, like you said.
it worked so well way better than i ever imagined!!!
6/29/2022: Tried this and it looks like they fixed it and made it so that not only the attraction centers but also the innovation centers cause negative appeal when placing duplicates :,> I missed my chance to massive profit, but at least i can get minor profit
i alredy have ideas for dlcs for the future:)
Aight, time to afk for the next 12 hours doing this in each mode/ map to unlock every dino and skin
Finally! A challenge mode video!!
It got patched in the latest uppdate, the innovation centers gets a big minus also now when you have mote then one
If you're on console just delete the patch :p
@@nlgpro How do you even do tht lol what
@@harleysmuse take your console offline, uninstall the game, reinstall, play, get 5 stars
@@nlgpro alright

Any chance of a remake/revisit
At last! My FOMO can be appeased without hours of stress! You are my newest hero.
"Eventually you DO plan to gave dinosaurs, on your dinosaur tour, correct?"
It probably works but kinda defeats the object of playing the game, the challenges aren't that difficult as Canada on jurassic difficulty took 4hrs out of 9hrs to get 5 stars which leaves a lot of margin for error.
Some people just want to unlock skins for sandbox mode. There's nothing wrong with that.
THANKS SO MUCH. Now that I'm making a profit I can get all the research done and genome so I can finally play sandbox.
Well i do believe that guest attractions remain at 100 IF you put different modules in there so a cinema wont overlap with a Gym
I already completed all 5 maps on Normal so I have most skins but I might use this for Hard Difficulty to get the last 5 skins lol
Thanks this really helped me out too though it now gives you a penalty for multiple innovation centers but still this allowed me to get a profitable start which lead to a great park
I think they fixed innovation center to where they take away from each other
Sadly yes
Thank you, also I love this video
