I really like Audrey's face. Her beauty is simple yet very elegant.
I agree with you, she wasn't like Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly, Marilyn Monroe or Sophia Loren. Audrey was an approachable beauty and very elegant woman. And she aged so beautifully and naturally (no fillering injections, no botox, or plastic surgeries, just her own skin with wrinkles and sunspots)
My best friend looks so much like Audrey in the face!
Audrey Hepburn is my favourite classic actress and also an inspiration.
“The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes,
because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.” - Audrey Hepburn
Maybe pink in the afternoon wasn’t released to the public until the 80’s. Much like the perfumes you mentioned that were made for her, then released to the public years later.
Oh that’s. Really good point!
Good point and they may have changed the shade
Whatever the shade, it was a
Max Factor lipstick. That was the tube they used in that era.
I recommend the book Dutch Girl. It tells the story of her childhood, and makes one more impressed and respectful of the lady.
1) I don’t think the lipstick that Lisa Eldridge bought was the lipstick that Audrey applies in the film. Similar shades yes, but I believe the makeup department used their own products instead of Audrey using hers. 2) I think it was rather unlike Audrey for Lisa to not share what the brand was and then to go and create her own subpar formula and cash in on the mystery. I usually love Lisa, but I think this was a rather tacky move.
Good points
Hey actually I agree that it was rude that Lisa didn’t show what lipstick it was. But I don’t think she was lying. As Lisa Eldridge eventually said it was guerlain. And when I studied the BTS photos of BAT it was a guerlain lipstick. It isn’t made anymore but I cannot remember what shade it was I’m sorry. Also it wasn’t a revlon lipstick. It doesn’t match. And pink in the afternoon was released way later. Plus the lipstick tubes are different. X
@@Mia_monroe56 when did Lisa say it was Guerlain?
Secondo me non è più in produzione questo rossetto ed è per questo che nessun marchio lo rivendica come proprio......se ci pensiamo così come l interdit il profumo la casa produttrice lo pubblicizzerebbe ancora tutt'oggi e come suo!!!
I love the shade you threw at Lisa how she probably won’t admit it because then people wouldn’t buy her’s lol 😂… I thought the same thing. Also, Revlon bullets may have been gold in the 60’s.
I’ve used Erno Lazlo since I was 18….II am now one month shy of 61 and know the products are the reason I look young for my age. I added Korean snail cream about 10 years ago.
It’s fantastic that you tell the story behind the artists (makeup artist, hair artist ect.)who helped make the famous person iconic. A muse is nothing without the artist.
Thank you! Glad you liked this!!
She does a lot of research! 🧐
Audrey's eyes were EVERYTHING...💝Thank you for this...
I am surprised you didn't mention the fact she was a heavy cigarette smoker. It has a huge impact on skin in the long run and health too.
Most of the actresses smoked back then people in general did .
I love Breakfast @ Tiffany’s and Funny Face. But my favorite Hepburn film is Wait Until Dark.
pH balancing in lipstick is a bit of a gimmick. Lipstick appears differently based on the person's undertone. Like in the illusions of the same colored circle appearing different shades when compared to a different colored background. The background color is what brings out different hues in the lipstick, which is why skin tone is important when finding makeup
I don’t know why LE won’t share the details of the lipstick. I say this because she released her tribute to the shade almost four years ago. Predictably the lipstick sold out in no time and despite numerous promises to re release it ,she has not to date.
I respect Lisa as an artist and creator, however if she has no intention to restock her shade ,why the mystery???
I think “Pink in the Afternoon” is a reference to a wonderful old Audrey Hepburn movie “Love in the Afternoon”. This is my favorite Audrey movie. I love it more than Breakfast at Tiffany’s which I do love as well.
I often use soap on my face. There are so many good ones, especially goat milk kind or African black soap.
Thank you Laura! Audrey was so beautiful and classy. I've seen some Lazlo products offered on Amazon. Kinda pricey but there's a "travel size" kit I'd love to try! 🌹
Wondeful job as always!! Really enjoyed this! Heading out to get pink in the afternoon 💗☕️
Thank you! It’s such a good lipstick
@@Laurajaneatelier really appreciate the amount of work you do to get this info to us! My favorite channel 💗
Revlon's 50s lipsticks were totally golden, not black at all. I don't think Punk in the Afternoon was the chosen shade for Breakfast at Tiffanys. But maybe it was Blase Apricot???
can you do one video of Cher’s skin care, makeup or anything that has to do with beauty products please 🥲🤍🫶🏼 I love your page so much and always watch your videos!
Her perfume was called Lantredeit, and it was made just for her.
Very much looking forward to the Rooney Mara biopic about audrey. I think that she will do her justice
The purest elegance embodied in the purest human being. ✨ The world lost a prima ballerina but won an eternal icon. 🧛🏻♀️🖤
I enjoy your videos so much! Thank you for your hard work in putting this content together!
Could you please consider a series in Kate Moss? I place her in the iconic category as vintage hollywood
😄
Audrey Hepburn was beautiful and elegant
That green outfit looks fabulous on you!❤️
Thank you
Thank you Laura for this video, very interesting vintage appeal, you know how much I love vintage perfume for both enders. Wonderfull research for the video. It is amazing how vintage beauty products and fragrances still affects the industry today. Superb video.
Sunday Treat ~ 💮 Laura Jane & Audrey 💮

Audrey was so beautiful
Thanks for the video 🌼 im a big fan of Audrey Hepburn
Thank you for watching
Audrey was such an Icon, I love her ! My favorite movie was The Nun's Story, and Funny Face. We don't see Stars of her caliber anymore.
Aah, yes, Funny Face is a fantastic film❤❤❤
Thank you for a great video. Particularly interesting was Erno Laszlo's influence on Audrey Hepburn's skincare regime. Erno Laszlo was the pioneer of the double cleanse - the most important first step to a sound skincare ritual.
Is there proof that the lipstick Lisa Eldridge bought is the one used by Audrey in the car scene, or is that just an assumption?
Lisa seems to be implying that. How do we know it's the same lipstick? I doubt that it was.
Loved her! This is a great video 🎉😅😮
My neighbor looks like her! She is really a beauty & into gardens & walking.
Interesting
Great video. Thank you. I wanted to know the perfume Audrey sprayed in BaT. Some fun info on line about that…
Love Audrey!
So, nobody knows the lipstick shade/name; and What happened to the sunglasses of brakfast, ?; What brand are those...seems like she really wanted to be unique?...
I don’t understand why Lisa Eldridge is keeping the color such a big secret. What’s the problem with the public knowing? Maybe she wants to keep it a secret in case she decides to sell it so it will get a top price at auction. ✝️❤️
Non credo sia più prodotto altrimenti la casa cosmetica rivendicherebbe il fatto che è suo!!!!
Audrey was the first pick me no makeup makeup girl it seems like and she was out here tryna gatekeep products, love her though it's just so funny to hear she likes it natural but has beauty techniques and a love for Estee lauder
The wardrobe creators say she was really difficult to work becausa her body was just disproportionate. Which is okay, of course. I just don't like it when 'they' keep selling the image of natural perfection. She wasn't perfect nor natural.
Recently I purchased your white eyeshadow from the internet. Do you have other single colors?
What's the name of the actor in 9:28? Laurent?
I enjoyed so much your video, is surprising to me to know that all these old Hollywood actors had a skincare doctor, i thought they had naturally flawless skin and just good nutrition because you know the food nowadays is more poison than nutrient
Thank you so much for sharing this tips! I do the Greek yogurt mask and it's amazing
I have the LE shade and not that impressed tbh. Philip Kingsley elasticizer can be bought on QVC. Again, another 'ok' product. Personally I like olaplex number 6. Great informative video 👍
Science has made products today more advanced. I imagine these stars would have taken advantage of that and used many new products. Stars are always on the cutting edge of beauty.
I actually think elasticized is great, but everyone has different hair. I wish it wasn’t so pricey 😝
Thank you.
Did you do Lucille Ball's makeup 💄?
Like your background music.. 😊
Can you share what's the title 😅
I was named for one of her best pictures.
I heard it was Portrait Peach
You look like *Ginnifer Goodwin*
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
😍❤❤❤❤❤❤
If she was a young actress today, she would have had a nose job & other plastic surgeries by now. So glad she was famous when people kept their God given unique features.
I agree plastic surgery is used more now but even back then enhancements were used. Monroe had a nose job, chin implant, and hairline moved. It looks as though Audrey had a lot of dental work as her teeth were very crooked at the start of her career. The movie company surgeons seemed to be aiming for natural, realistic work on already very beautiful people so it just enhances what was already in place
@Trinity M lol. Cosmetic procedures are addictive & that hill has a slippery slope. Its one thing when young women copy the latest makeup & fashion trends. Been done since the beginning of time. But now its different. Old woman here who has lived in a college town for 35 years. Since the advent of cell phones, social media, & the Kardashians, every college girl has the same face. If they are doing all these procedures now when they are in their prime, just wait another 20 years when gravity, UV rays, & menopause do their number. I won't be around to see it, though.
@@Vonononie crooked teeth tend to be very painful and uncomfortable when chewing food maybe it was a medical reason?
@@Lara-vo6rp it could well be classed as medical with a secondary bonus of looking better. Either way I’m sure it helped, at least a little, during screen tests and casting
Laura Jane, you look a little bit like Audrey yourself!
It's always so enjoyable watching your videos at the end of the day. Thank you for such an informative video! 💖
Thank you for watching
Erfolg Laszlos products may where something good and better than before cosmetics in former times, but nowadays the ingrediant are really poor. Even a drugstore can offer bettrr.
How sad...she passed away from cancer and now we are learning how plants are ao toxic and our bodies and skin need saturated fats ...fatty red meat is key to great skin and health
When l'Interdit changed their original scent, it was awful, and smelled nothing like the original. They ruined a classic. When I inquired why they would mess with such a beautiful scent, I was told they wanted to make it "more modern". There's already enough stupid "modern" scents out there now for young people. Thanks a lot! You ruined it, and I've never worn it since.
Audrey Hepburn looks like Arianna grande
More like pre-negroplasty ari 😂
Ariana grande is Audrey Hepburn. Celebrities "die" and either are cloned and recycled or have made a pact with the devil and are immortal. Brad Pitt is amongst them as well as many others.
