Can't tell you how much the channel has got me pumped for this season. Bought my first pair of boots today after renting my entire life. Congrats on 25K!! Growing FAST now... 100% a testament to the quality of your cinematography, story-telling, and the skiing doesn't hurt either LOL. Keep up the great work Lucas!
Another banger video Lucas! Still waiting for the ski season to start here in Pennsylvania, but watching your videos makes me feel like I’m already on the mountain! Keep it up🤙🏻⛷
Good for you....again. I haven't skied at Brighton for about 25 years, I remember everything skiing like it was off camber, the fall lines there , (not all), felt weirdly side hill'ish to me from what I remember..
I can't wait to visit Brighton. What a sick day out there and you handled those conditions like a champ loved the "forgot my pass" cut in the beginning 🤣
On a positive note that completely condensed power is doing a great job of securing the base. The uneven portions of cover will hold the next storm firmly in place.Brighton is a great place to ski when the temps have been consistently cold and fresh snow has fallen within a day or two.Personally I have had many great powder days there in some of the soft boundary areas of the resort. When there has been a big dump the night before and there is any wind left over we always had a better day going over to Brighton than we had waiting at Snowbird which struggled with snow safety and crowds.Brighton has the right terrain to open and stay open after and during a big lake effect typical Utah storm.Get back there when the conditions are better and you will have fun exploring. My knees and lower back hurt after watching your video, but I still enjoyed it.
so hyped watching your videos! going to pick my skis up today, and gonna hit opening day this weekend at my local mountain, can’t believe ski season is here already!!!
Brighton is such a sick mountain especially if you stay in the Brighton lodge. Me and my dad visited from the midwest last year and it was one of our best trips yet
Grew up skiing Brighton. GW is situated in such a way where it's always pretty cruddy. The sun hits it late day and melts the top layer, then a few hours later freezes again. I typically preferred speed runs on GW. It's really long and you can just bomb it.
Skied Endless Winter on Sunday. Hit the nail on the head, pretty mixed conditions but excellent foundation for when we start to get pow on top of it. The stoke is real!
Great Western lift is great, lots of options off the top. You can spend all day on that lift and lap a few different runs. EDIT: Dude, there's much more stuff off of Elk Park Ridge (furthest East) rather than Western Trail.
Have enjoyed Brighton a few times in my day. First skied it in the 80's for about 17 bucks! Ha. "What did I get myself into" is what I say everytime I go up the Jupiter lift!
Every day is a Holiday ✔️ Especially when snow/ice is involved. 😅 Looks and sounds like you’re enjoying 👌 As always, thanks for the time and efforts you put into each episode! 🙏✌️
Never skied Brighton, but it looked great. Although, it sounded like a lot of crud snow, but that’s expected when the snow melts a bit during the day and then freezes at night in November. Reminded me of East Coast skiing where I learned on blue ice. 😅
Opening day and those conditions looked pretty good. I guess having the previous day with hikes and wide open terrain of Alta was hard to compare with.
as a brighton local, it’s rad to see you explore a mountain i know like the back of my hand. you’re exactly right, the face of great western is my favorite spot on a pow day. a close second is milly. you gotta make it back during peak season during february and march! if you’re ever in the wasatch again hmu and i can show you around b-town
@@LucasCatania17 oh dang dude. and you’ve only ever been to brighton once before this? i assumed you must be from out of state. what’s your home mountain in utah?
Hey Lucas, love your edits and have been watching periodically for a year. A question, how long does each of your 14-20 minute films take to edit? I use FCPX and a 20 minute movie utilizing 3 different camera footage would take several hours. I know you are pretty "pro" in the editing field but it still has to take a fair amount of time! How long?
Oops. I forgot to tell u about the narrowest chute that I’ve encountered at Brighton when skiing from Wrangler to Endless Winter (somewhere in aspens, I think somewhere above ur stop at 5:38-5:45?)…my 165 length armada didn’t fit in there sideway when there was much more snow
Im an expert snowbaorder looking to get into skiing. ANy recomendations for boot flex and skis? I ride Palisades and Mammoth and ride all the gnarly stuff on a snowboard, want to progress as quickly as possible on skis to be able to ride the same terrain.
For now, Utah looks so much more interesting than colorado to ski regardless of snow conditions...Snowbird, Alta ...but Brighton looks not so bad...never skied in America but, in case, for sure ,I would go in Utah...and Jackson Hole Wy...of course
@@LucasCatania17 I gotcha my Dad was an instructor at PC and I only skied there... until he retired and I had to pay up at which point I went up to DV ;)
