Great review lads. Looks a good bit of kit that.
I can't believe he left you hanging with the handshake at the beginning though whilst congratulating the new PB!! 😳
Hahaha nice one Neil
Great honest review and liking the drone footage. Keep up the good work! Even gave you good luck to catch your PB 😁
Thanks Matt much appreciated
@@FreshFishing how’s the bivvy holding up please ?
Very good! Just sold it but only due to it not being big enough for my bed. Awesome bivvy though.
Love the zip in ground sheet, this is where I feel Fox missed out with the Frontier. Bivvy looks great value for money 👍🏻
100% zip in groundsheet would have been good on the frontier. This quest defier is class for the price.
great vid lads, I have the first incarnation of the defier and have to say its a cracking bivvy for the money
That’s great feedback to hear mate 👏🏻
Well excited, just bought this bivvy from the quest website. Hope this makes a good 1st time buy!
You won’t be disappointed mate
how are you getting on with it and are there any grumbles?
@valentinetomin8046 excellent piece of kit for the price point! Easy set up! No issues at all in bad weather conditions.
I've got the MK1 in DPM, quality bivvy, the material is amazing for the price. You dont need the skull cap and at 90 quid it's steep. Only thing that lets the bivvy down is the poles and it's not flat backed
Great to hear mate! Pretty sure this will be Wayne’s bivvy for a good few years now 😁
It looks the same as a Sonik extractor, could be wrong, although I'm not convinced the extractors ground sheet zips in and has got a vapour shield but does come with skull cap for £290 I think so yours is probably a better buy, nice one 👍
Old man river has just got an extractor so we’ll be doing a review on it pretty soon 👌
You still using this, How's it holding up? What are the velcro rod retainers like? Do they have the soft side on both sides? The harder scratches your rods.
Been looking at this bivvy. £300 from Quest with the skul cap
Cracking vid as always gents 👍 is there a carp cradle you would recommend? Not too flash but half decent as I’m looking to fish for bigger carp. Cheers
Heard good things about the Korda basix cradle mate. That’s not huge and is under £50 👌
Decent bivvies from Quest. Had a MK2 - 2 man which was great for the price. Tbh tho I would have gone for the Sonik AXS for the similar price bracket.
Fair play mate. You got a sonik AXS?
It's the same as the sonik one if not better the sonik one you can't have a vapour shield inside the materials are the same footprint is the same as the sonik
Iam also a member at teesvally only done a few sessions still to catch yet. My mate just come back off alpha today had a 23lb and a 24lb. Can you leave the ground sheet zipped in and pack it up or does it have to be zipped in every time 👍
You’ll catch at TVL mate sometimes it’s hit and miss. We think you have to take the groundsheet out bud
How's it holding up after 12 months . Is it getting plenty of bank time
Been looking at this on Amazon can't see the top bit on Amazon for some odd reason or the over cover .
Just go direct through their site mate
Looks decent, if you can get away without paying carp tax I'm all for it 👍
100% mark mate
Looking for a new Bivy with a zip ground sheet and found this. Looks very good. But from what I have seen it has absolutely no "bags" inside to put your mobile, sounder box or whatever in, is that right? Thats a small downer to be honest. But apart from that it looks awesome.
No, none at all. It’s a really smart bivvy though. Although, not big enough if you have a big bedchair.
Do you no what the difference is between the quest MK2 x bivvy and the one u did your vlog, or are they the same, thanks looks a great bivvy
1⃣Material - Defier MK2 has the very best Aquatex type material which is 20000HH and fully breathable. DefierX has tried and tested and been around for donkey's years, 210D Polyester in 10000HH. Very durable and extremely waterproof.
2⃣Defier MK2 has the zip-off front so can be open-fronted and brolly style. DefierX can be rolled back and clipped in to be open-fronted/brolly style.
3⃣DefierX has two fewer windows at the front cutting down on weight. Still has the window in the door and letterbox opening. Two rear vents opened by velcro instead of zips and velcro, again cutting down on weight.
4⃣Groundsheet - Defier MK2 has a heavy-duty zipped-in groundsheet. DefierX has a heavy-duty and is attached via velcro and handy underside elastics which can be pulled over the pegs to ensure it is a perfect fit, doesn't budge and helps stop unwanted wildlife from entering.
5⃣Vapour shield - Comes included with the Defier MK2. Optional extra for the DefierX
6⃣Block - Defier MK2 has an aluminium block and the DefierX has a lightweight version.
Overall the DefierX is a stripped back more affordable version of the popular Defier MK2. It's based on exactly the same footprint with some modifications to be kinder on the pocket and more lightweight🫰 Still has all the major benefits of the MK2 and can be set up in just 45 seconds!
I'd get the camo wrap from sonik for it its the same as the sonik bivvy same size
Good to know
Decent Bivvie that 👍
Aye mate it’s quality
3.3k subs now nice one lads
Growing slowly but surely 😁
Great review, just wondering how does the zip in groundsheet sit once the door is closed?
Cheers!
The groundsheet is purposely too big so you may get a little sag here and there but if you stretch it you can get it sitting nicely
@@FreshFishing Thanks for the reply, sorry I may have worded that wrong.
Is there any Velcro/zip on the door side so it seals in if that makes sense
Not that I’m aware of mate
Nice review, just needed to add a bedchair and bags etc just to give a proper representation of the room inside!
Would have been a good shout tbf
High guys, does the front stay on when you pack it away or do have to remove it every time, great vid.
Front stays on mate 🙂
@@FreshFishing cheers lads was looking at frontier like Wayne but for price and looked yesterday bivvy and scull cap £300 sale on.
Yeah that’s a cracking price like! Can’t go wrong, proper value for money
Do you think you can squeeze 2 compact beds in there?head at the rear vents together in a V shape....not interested in putting anything else in there just the 2 beds...im fishing sometimes with my son,but mostly on my own...so don't want a 2 man bivvy for a few times a year when it's the 2 of us....
Yeah I reckon you’d just about manage 2 compact bedchairs like mate
@@FreshFishing Thanks
Nice vid. Nice height for my older age . 👍👍
👌👌
Cracking review lads. Will a wideboy Nash bedchair fit in this do you think ?
Thanks mate, yeah it would fish a wideboy in for sure. You’d have less space in front but because it doesn’t have a flat back you get a little space behind the bed too
@@FreshFishing cheers
Wasted space at the back to be honest my first one leaked it went back and they replaced it
Good service x
Good vid lads always watch yous would like to fish with use
Thanks mate! Watch out for details of a social We are planning another for summer
Should get an affiliation code with yous lads sort the boys out haha
Do you think you need an overwrap
Probs not needed tbf mate as it had a vapour shield and a skull cap. We’ll work on quest and see if they wanna give our viewers discount 😂
afternoon lads
Evening pal
Will you do another review in a years time on this bivvy please do you fadseal your bivvy
Yeah we can do mate
It will of fell to bits by then
You still using this bivvy? still rate it? Cheers
Sold it pal but a great Bivvy
Why did you sell and what did you replace with? @@FreshFishing
@valentinetomin8046 new bedchair was too big for it. For the Nash Titan t1
Supposedly a few companies copy their design's.ivve seen plenty of great reviews for their bivvies
So I’ll bivvies look really similar tbf
@@FreshFishing They all copy off each other really it's the fishing industry just look at all the retractable rods now.
@@FreshFishing As long as it keeps you warm dry and is good quality that's all we need.
110% mate. They’re all just their own slant on whoever did something first haha usually nash like with the retractable rod
@@FreshFishing Wonder what the next fad will be after all the heated sleeping bags jackets etc lol
I had the mk1 of this bivvy in dpm and a green overwrap I brought everything skull cap etc so cost me £550 all in,it fell apart the 2nd time I used it absolute dog 💩 these are,to anybody watching this don’t waste your money
Quest, Fox, Sonik, and all the others have copied the design of the Trakker Tempest, the original and best.
Yeah mate they certainly have copied but there are some great copies
Yes I have to agree. Trakker need to address the small things like internal opening vents, high rand zip in ground sheet, internal pockets etc. Apologies for not commenting that your video was detailed and reliably honest. Thanks guys.👍
How's it holding up after 12 months . Is it getting plenty of bank time

Wayne doesn’t have it anymore but that’s because his new bedchair was too big for it 😂 he was dead happy with the quality
