      @@sabrina_ramonov Def helping, but I struggled with Cursor a bit. Tried to use it. Pretty sure its me. It had a short term memory problem. Been copying and pasting from chatgpt today to finish up 0.1 of this new app.

      @@sabrina_ramonov App focused on personal finance. There are significant features missing from what I see out there. I spent a long time in Excel spreadsheets and can't express enough how helpful this is.

    Sabrina, love this series. I'm always getting stuck at the tech stack part. Curious to see how you solve it. Including accepting payment for token usage etc

    • @sabrina_ramonov
      @sabrina_ramonov  Місяць тому

      For this particular SaaS I'm not sure I'd bill by token usage. I was thinking simple monthly subscriptions plans with usage caps. v1 will be text only transformations, no image or video, so costs should be manageable even with a generous usage cap.

    When on Windows systems, they can install VM (vertical machine) and get the code for running. I personally use Kali Linux and cross platform on my Mac and Chromebooks.

      I tried using wsl2 and run Warp on Ubuntu but didn't work. Are there any Warp alternatives for Windows? I found Komandi but doesn't look as advanced as Warp is. Thanks!

    This is a great series, you might be able to look at something like Alphana for inspiration. Amazing stuff !!

      @@sabrina_ramonov Hey,
      I signed up for their service and explored a bit. Unfortunately, they don’t accept Gmail SSO, which made the onboarding process less smooth. After signing in, there were a lot of flashing elements on the screen, which was quite distracting and didn’t make for a good first experience.
      I’m still on my free trial. The software itself seems pretty cool, but the content generation is a bit too generic for my needs. However, it looks like a good tool for remixing content in bulk.

    What is your advice for someone who do not have technical background and want to build start up and saas

    • @sabrina_ramonov
      @sabrina_ramonov  Місяць тому

      For anyone: I always recommend talking to users (but don't take too long) AND scoping down your MVP immensely. Check out part 1 of this series where I walk through that. For example - can you build a crappy first version with google sheets, zapier, and some other no-code tool? Consulting 2 hours with a decent low-code dev on Upwork should give you some paths forward without having to spend a ton of $$ on buildout yet.

      @@sabrina_ramonov which is better code from scratch or no code tools ?

    • @sabrina_ramonov
      @sabrina_ramonov  Місяць тому

      If you're non technical, I almost always recommend starting with no code tools. You'll get further faster and don't have to worry about tooling or infrastructure. BUT depending on what you're trying to build, you may run into limitations of no code tools. For my app, I know it will eventually have a job queue, video creation & editing workflows, etc. and all this would be super super annoying (not even sure if possible?) in Bubble.
