My new single "Trickster" is now out of the bag and I hope it goes to show that you can tap and hit your guitar while still carrying a strong tune through a thought-out composition. Let's make this one go places, I can't do it without your and your friend's help. Please, please share the video link far and wide!
If this doesn't make a kid want to play an acoustic, keep watching UA-cam videos like this. He is part of a whole new generation of guitarists who are taking the acoustic guitar to a new level.
Every time I think I'm making progress, you have to go and do something like this! Then I realise, the lesson is NEVER over. Thanks for being a teacher and an inspiration Thomas Leeb.
Transcription for the main riff of "Trickster" just sent out to Acoustic Magazine - pick up your copy in August! ua-cam.com/video/Mf-2MlBGDVs/v-deo.html
Have you ever heard an instrument in such an angelical way that you feel the need to learn how to use it? This is what this did to me in regard of learning guitar. Sir, god bless those fingers and ears of yours. Simply Amazing!
Really wonderful Thomas, incredible sensibility to the groove. and how you fit those polyrthyms into the pocket is amazing. I can see how and why this song is called trickster. A great song with a unique hi-bred tapping technique. The melody moves seamless through your dynamic punch. Loved it man.
This song is phenomenal. One of my friends just recommended Thomas after listening to a fingerstyle cover of a dream pop song that I did and I'm so glad he did.
Hi Thomas, I just wanna let you know that I played your entire new album on Christmas Day in New Zealand to entertain a whole family for the holidays. You did very well with your new album and I hope you do well in all your future endeavors :). Cheers, Ben
I enjoyed this so much! I love listening to a great song like this one while being dropped with all those moves in the same musical piece - they feel like they last far more longer than just a glimpse of a moment! Thank you for your work, Thomas! ;)
This is amazing! Next time you're in Michigan, you should let me know so I can come watch you! I'm a huge fan of acoustic guitar, but this is one of the best styles I've heard and you killed it :)
God, what happened to music like this? .. intelligent, complex, straight-from-the-soul kind of vibes. I'm sick of all this cookie cutter stuff manufactured for the media. Bring stuff like this back into the mainstream and maybe people wouldnt be soo lost. Nice tune dude, keep on expressing yourself. World needs more of this. Oh, and PS: you come up on Google as one of the "best fingerstyle guitarists". That's how I found you. Congrats
Beautiful stuff. The fingering kinda reminded me of Lenine, an awesome Brazilian musician, but with the added percussion and tapping, it almost sounded like a whole band... Congrats.
