In this video, I will be showing you how to fix a common issue with JBL headphones - an angled connector problem. The issue develops when the connector is kicked while being plugged in and causes one of the sides not to work. The video will demonstrate how to remove the old connector without damaging the wires and replacing it with a new one. We will also be using an X-Acto Knife and a multimeter to identify which wire is connected to which pin.

my quantum 50 had the same problem and turns out a lot of people had the same problem. Jbl needs to fix this.
I agree! Connectors should always be the most durable thing in the product as they will see the most usage and damage overtime.
I have a same problem on my JBL quantum 100 but I don't know soldiing and I don't have the materials also , so will this be covered in warranty or ??
You will need to check with your local shop but my guess will be no as this will fall under mechanical damage for which most manufacturers don't offer warranty cover.

Oh I see. so my cord that has the same problem as yours broke. However I have a different kind I believe. My cord is not connected to my JBL headset, you have to plug it in yourself. My question is, since it broke would I be able to buy just a normal audio cable with two jacks. And if so would it mess with the sound quality

What's the purpose of the second jack? You want to attach a second pair of headphones like a splitter? It should work. There will be a slight loss in volume but it should not affect the sound quality if the cable itself is of good quality.
