- I have been making UA-cam videos for 10 years. I can't express the gratitude I have for all of you watching. I feel honored to have been able to share some of my life with you.
Here's a tribute to one of the first videos I ever made, and the first video Carson and I ever shot together, goofy bass harmony, guitar percussion and all. Carson wrote this tune, we shot the new take in the exact same location as the original.
Many things have changed in this time, but a surprising number haven't.

Josh, I was 67 when I decided I wanted to do more than just listen to others make music here on UA-cam. I bought my first guitar the next day. I'm still learning at a pace that matches my time and attitude. So I'm not ready for prime-time and probably won't ever be. But, I feel so grateful to floss like you and this marvelous technology for the good times and feelings I've experienced here! I so envy you two dudes!!! Oh, I'm 76 now and still learning.

Picked up a two years ago to tune it for my son. Found "how to tune the guitar" on UA-cam along with a bunch of lessons and never put it down. I didn't have time for another hobby, but I made time. I was inspired by an article I read about how learning an instrument at any age can increase your thinking power in other areas. That was all I needed to hear to let go of the guilt I felt that I should be doing something more productive. I love playing guitar and I love listening to Josh and Carson.

Loved it. Josh's vocal range is incredible.. it's always flawless rather low or high. Then there's the crazy instrumental skills and dedication to exploring all genre of music. Top it off with surrounding himself with top notch folks like Carson. Modern music needs more people like Josh, and I hope he achieves the level of fame he deserves... partly for his sake, but mostly for the sake of the masses.

Move along folks, if you're looking for flaws, because these lovely gentleman have none to show you. If they think or feel that they do, it's just part of the magical perfection what they do.
Josh - when I heard you start singing the first time in this video, I did a quick double-take. There's no end to what you will try, and no end to that which you succeed. Carson - as always easy, steady & dependable. It's easy to take you for grated because you never fall down. Such a joy to watch you both. And a joy to watch you grow. You boys will always be the pride of what is good about this country.

I love that there's a very subtle mess up at around 2:04 and you both just kinda smile and slightly chuckle about it. Makes me think back to playing music with my buds. Happened all the time.

that's F#, it's not THAT low. Average man can sing that note. Its more about how well it resonates with the first voice. Those two guys just can sing together very well :)

Yeah, it isn't that low, but he's got a great range. It really bassy considering what kind of high notes he can hit, imo.
@@karffiol Average people can't sing for shit (especially extreme ends of their ranges), sustaining a note through vocal fry is another thing though.

I am so deeply in love with your music, be it your covers or your originals. When I first met my fiance 2 years ago, I thought I had found someone to enjoy your music as well as other artists with, but I found a shallow dull dimwitted person who just put on the front of a musician. But I can confidently say that I don't think my heart or soul will ever feel as strongly about any man as they do your music.

Have you guys ever been approached by record labels? I'm only assuming that you record and mix your own music and there is certainly nothing wrong with that. Your recordings are excellent.
