First reaction always "WOW", then HOW? Both of your physical reactions tell me that you know you have just seen greatness. And there's much more to see and hear from this guitar Alien. Don't know who dropped him off on Earth but we're eternally grateful. Pick anything and you won't be disappointed, especially the LIVE version. His skills are remarkable although he'll make it look effortless. Try everyone's fave- "Texas Flood" from the el Macombo club. A very early recording of his Blues mastery. There were many sides of SRV, as you'll see, and we fans loved every one of them. Stevie was taken in a freak helicopter crash directly after an incredible concert with his older brother, Jimmy Lee Vaughan and also Eric Clapton. Stevie was 35 yrs.old, just 6 days shy of his 36th birthday. The world seemed silent that day, but if I listen intently I can still hear it in the wind...that tone of his strings. Unmistakable.
    Legend. Legendary.

He is my Brother. He taught me everything I know. We all pick guitars in this family. He was my Best Friend. He is my #1. He aways gave everything he had everytime he got on stage. Always 100%. We where as thick as 2 bugs on a bumper. I love to brag bout em. Ya'll gotta check him out for real. He will Blow your Mind. He is still the #1 Guitar Player on the Face of the Planet. I think he always will be. There is No Difference between him and the Guitar they are always 1. There is No difference. Ya'll will see that when ya'll see em play. His Wife Lenny said she never heard that man snore but she did hear em play that God Damn Guitar. In her words. The guitar was always in his reach.

👋👏👌‼️Enjoying your reactions to Stevie Ray🎸🎶. And many people have thought his talent and playing was so far beyond anything or anyone else that they have called him an alien. There are so many sides to his talent and skill sets yet to explore. One if his own compositions called Riveria Paradise as performed from this same venue, Austin City Limits 1989 is his masterpiece for me. He finished this after his own rehab and recovery and dedicates it to all those that are still suffering in any way. It is a like a warm and golden hug from this man’s soul. Keep them coming‼️🎶🎸. Oh and BTW, he doesn’t drop his pick. What you can’t see is his dropping down to adjust his foot pedals to achieve the exact sound he wants. He keeps extra picks stuffed into the mic stand so he wouldn’t have to bend down if he did lose it. As you watch he is always adjusting the knobs on his guitar and it is so automatic and natural to him you don’t really even notice.

Great reaction, kids! If you want to see the live performance that knocks everyone out of this world, check “Texas flood“, however, another great one is “Mary had a little lamb“. Yes, the children’s rhyme! You won’t believe what he does with that!

In another video one of his guitar strings break and he grabs another guitar without missing a beat.

Loved this reaction. Stevie didn't really drop his pick. He changed a switch on his effects pedal. You can hear the click and the guitar tone changes when he does it.

They have been some question has to wither he is picking up a pick or adjusting something on the board, if you look you can see spare picks tucked into the mic stand, so I am thinking why he would bother to bend over to pick one up. I think he is adjusting something on the foot board.
