Good grief! She never had to give up her work. The kids have been in school for years. They had tons of money and huge families to help care for kids when they were gone. Guys…Tom decision to choose football over his family goes deeper than just his love for football. U have to WANT to spend that much time with your partner, u can’t be asked or told to. And it’s not uncommon for couples to grew apart and not wanting to be around their partner 24/7. If u don’t love it, u will fail

The sad part is that Tom knows he is engaging in very dangerous behavior and being a grandpa and hopefully a great grandpa surrounded by people who love you is way more important than the thrill of the game or breaking silly meaningless records and stuff. If you really wish Tom the best you'd wish him to walk away. Literally tomorrow, don't even finish the season. He has more money than he would need for 100 lifetimes.
I think Brady is probably a miserable guy when at home because he wants to always be playing football. Not that he does not spend anytime at home in the off-season, but more like he is never home when he is home mentally.

Growing apart is sad. Always remember love first and never ever stop dating your husband/wife. We aren’t here long. He’s created a wonderful legacy for all THREE of his children to be very proud of. Happy they are able to move on from each other respectfully. Yet another example that will go far for their children.
They're going to be fine. They both have great families and are both financially well off. It's probably for the best in the long run even though it's sad.
The best thing would be to stop playing the game and be glad he has everything he has. Just walk away, no explanation even needed. He could be an announcer or commentator and still be actively involved in the NFL for a long time. I'm sure it's hard to stop but it's the selfless decision.

Most people are assuming he chose football over his family. Maybe he agreed to retire, but went back to playing once it was clear that his wife was filing for divorce regardless. If he lost his wife anyway, why continue with a retirement you didn’t want in the first place? The point is we don’t know and shouldn’t assume. Maybe he did, maybe he didn’t.

I can’t help it. I feel really bad for him. I can’t stand him football wise, but he’s a human who’s got to be heart broken too. He wasn’t ready to quit.
When you have a family you have to make selfless decisions for them. Some of the best athletes who ever lived were a bit sad and depressed after retiring but you fill your life with what is really important and keep going and find that it can be very happy and rewarding.

Rather than focusing on being great parents, couples should focus more on being a great husband or wife. Always prioritizing parental role is a recipe for a failed marriage.
Remember that before you had children, there was only the two of you. And marriage vows focus on loving one another.

To be honest, getting a divorce because her husband had a job when he only had a few more years, at most, is completely stupid. She chose to break up the family since she was the one who filed. It's is actually quite selfish. She married him, knowing he was an NFL player; it comes with certain hardships, but that is true of every marriage. She is no victim. She could have waited longer even if she felt like he wasn't there enough for the family. What she did is far more devastating for the kids than him playing football for a few more years. It's not even a good comparison. She sacrificed the family for her own pursuit of happiness. Based on her idiotic logic, she shouldn't be involved with any of her businesses because they take up too much time from the kids. She can sell them and live off the millions she has without putting nearly as much work into her business's. Bottom line, she's a female getting way too much sympathy for destroying a family. Reason: she initiated the divorce, which is the end all for the marriage.

I think Gisele married Tom knowing that he was passionate about football, that is was not just his career, but his life's purpose. You cant just keep holding out that one day he would just stop everything to be at home with the family. He is pursuing something that is bigger than that and I think its sad that he cannot dedicate his life to this sport which has brought him so much meaning and excitement in life. Gisele chose to marry him and have kids with him and she chose to step down from her career. Well, she shouldn't. 4 years is a lot, they are not getting any younger and life is happening now and he is missing his kids growing up, she at least didn't, she was there living it and being present while he practiced and played and travelled over and over. And she had more reasons to do not be there since she was the only ubermodel in the world and made more money than he did, but somehow she was the one retiring to make his dream possible, and he succeeded and lived the dream, now it was his turn to give back, she waited for too long.
