These roasts have been going on for years, even though there were some crude any unnecessary remarks at times people were still able to laugh at themselves and others. Today everyone is offended by everything.

She’s probably upset because of the “abandoning her WHILE she was pregnant” joke and their son actually has a really good relationship with Tom, so they wouldn’t want him to feel like Tom never wanted a relationship with him. Brigitte might have felt that the joke went after her SON in that way. So I get why she’s so upset, but I mean it’s a roast - there are no limits.
