This video walks through the process of cleaning and/or replacing the variable valve timing solenoids on a 2016 Chevy Equinox. By Cleaning the VVT solenoids with throttle body cleaner, you may be able to resolve engine codes P0013 & P0014. The process of cleaning VVT solenoids is The same or similar on many other vehicles. Along with OBII engine codes P0013 and P0014, your Chevy or GMC vehicles (including Equinox Ecotec) may be running rough, have an unstable idle, showing a check engine light, and be getting reduced fuel milage. Cleaning the variable valve solenoids may allow your vehicle to properly adjust its timing, resulting a smoother Ecotec engine and increased fuel milage per gallon!

I watched several videos on how to remove the VVT. Your video was the only one that actually showed how to remove the clip and remove the connector. Great Help. Thank you.

Correct...I've watched several videos and he's the only one mentioning to press in on the tab to remove the wired top part that clicks into the solenoid 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿

I bought a cheap diagnosis thing online. It gave me p0010 and p0013. I followed your video and purchased the parts from Amazon for $26 (for both) the codes went away as well as the service engine light! I had called a local service center prior to that and they quoted 5 to 6 hundred minimum for the job! It took me about an hour. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Anyway to show the process on the 3.0 V6 engine? I have a 2012 equinox with this motor. It looks like I have to remove a motor mount to get to it, but I’m not sure. Thanks for the video! Really enjoy the content 👊🏽
