    This series literally came out as soon as i was planning on manual swapping my z. I had just bought one and was thinking about doing it and started up on my research for it. I have everything I need except the transmission and clutch/flywheel (and a few shifter boots and bolts here and there) sad part is, those last 2 parts equal out to about 3600 bucks since Im getting them all new. So itll take a bit to save up, but my z is currently getting painted and tinted and once I get that payed off im gonna be saving for the last parts I need. These videos are wayyyyyyyyy more helpful than any of the other ones ive seen. You talk through it so well and show absolutely everything we need and every little challenge that we may face. Now my z is an hr 2007 so some things here and there are different, but those tiny little things I can find in other videos in case I get lost. Still, your videos are super helpful and I appreciate you taking the time to make then so detailed. Much love! excited for part 3 cuz seeing how wiring whats necessary to start the car is going to be super helpful

    Hey @Zspeed, I’m new here, just discovered you today and have spent the last several hours binging your videos. I want to say this videos are some of the best I have seen when it comes to the walk-through process. It is extremely informative and doesn’t seem rushed like many others do.
    I have recently acquired an 06 enthusiast roadster with the de rev-up as my first car I personally purchased and was not handed down. The car was sadly abused and not treated well at all, but I am wanting to change that and give her a whole new life. I have already done an oil change, new spark plugs, new battery, new gold battery terminals, new headlight and taillight bulbs, redid the interior trim as it was spray painted an ugly lavender. A headlight restoration, wheels and tires (I’m a tire mechanic), and a bunch of other small things such as realigning bumper fitment and new wipers.
    I plan on rebuilding the top half of the engine soon as sadly almost everything is original even though it has 130k miles. I will be installing a full gasket kit, valve covers and coil packs for sure. While down there I am considering to also install a oil catch can, plenum spacer, a full hose set and a new cold air intake. I am only 18 and not making too much more than minimum wage and am trying to do this with a budget. Although I know it is better to spend the extra money on quality parts and I am willing to do so on certain items; I’m not trying to spend over $1500. I would greatly appreciate any and all advice and recommendations you have.
    Sincerely, Jose (Joey) Martínez
    Ps. Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you were to follow me back so I could privately DM you in the future, I would greatly appreciate that as well.

    Mines getting jk41 swapped for me and I might be lucky enough to help. This video provides so much good information. My metal transmission tunnel is being swapped for a manual tunnel and welded in, so shifter and dust seals are oem fit.
    Again, seeing it firsthand here is invaluable in understanding everything involved.
    Looking forward to part three. I do remember being told there is a OEM reinforcement plate or bracket for the clutch pedal so the firewall isn't flexing.
    Oh and a 3.7 VHR too, in front.

Because i have seen alot of videos when they are all done with the swap and go to back up the light does not work? If you did could you provide the time? Can you please show in part 3 how to set up the reverse lights from auto to manual! Since the harness from the auto don’t connect to the lamp switch for the manual. • @Zspeed
      @Zspeed  Рік тому +1

      The 2007 HR transmission has a different bolt pattern than the 2003 DE, so that won't work! But you should be able to find a 2007 transmission out there somewhere! Love the HR, it would be well worth the effort to swap that out!!👍💯🏁

    Hey Z Speed, sorry to bother again. I'm installing the manual transmission now. What do I do with the electrical connections on the new (used) transmission? Are they proprietary to the Manual wire harness? Should I skip plugging them in?
    Thank you!

    • @Zspeed
      @Zspeed  Рік тому +2

      Wrap the ends of the harness with tape to keep them from getting debris on the inside and secure it with a zip-tie. They are not compatible and should not be plugged together!
