Ya on the c6 the key is also in the end of the fob and to change the batteries in the their is a notch on the bottom you just use a small screw driver to get it apart.

How much money should you save up to get a corvette?
Just an FYI, a tesla owner challenged me and i told him i would race him but i pick the race, he agreed and i told him I would race him to this town in another state. He immediately turned me down as the distance we were to travel would have him sitting for a charge for 6 hours, depending on if he could find a charging station. Automatic win for me, never race them in 1/4 mile run, do cross country they'll lose everytime.
I love that little snap throttle makes it go into a super shift! I stumbled upon it when I first got the car and didn't realize what had happened lol 😂

My driveway is on a incline so whenever I park, I use the parking brake. This is how I do it. First I stop and put the car in neutral, apply the parking brake, let the car set on the break, then I put it in Park. 😊

I like the "Lambo Doors"... If I get a C7 {Hoping to get a ZR1!} I will add those... because I am slightly disabled, and the larger opening will make it easier for me to get in & out of the car.

Thank you for this video. I found my way into performance shift mode by mistake. Mine actually shifts down into manual mode when I floor it and let up real quick. I thought something was wrong with it. Now I see it makes sense.

Thanks for the tips, when you activate the performance mode, how long does it stay activated, what deactivates it ? And just a suggestion, when you park, I put mine in neutral with foot still on brake I activate the parking brake then take my foot off the brake and put it in park, that way there is no pressure on the transmission

I also use performance shift mode quite often, This mode makes a big difference especially during a roll race. I am surprised how few Corvette owners know about this mode. Keep posting up the great content.

The lock out procedure to open trunk is the same in C6 Corvettes. I had battery issues in my '08 C6 convertible similar to what you are experiencing with your C7 Grandsport. Using a battery maintainer religiously and a new battery solved the issue in the C6. I became very familiar with unlocking the trunk and using the pull release for the door to then open the hood to get to the battery. My C7 ZO6 seems to be easier on battery drain while we wait for a nice warm winter day here in NC but I also still use the battery maintainer when it looks like the car will set for more than a couple of weeks.
Good video thank you for highlighting this about the parking brake design flaw because I will be looking to bye either a c7 or the new c8 soon

Got in the habit of the Park Brake when I first started driving... with a 4-spd 64 GTO. ALWAYS used the parking brake !!
And have done that ever since.

Hi Clarence. Just to add to your parking brake info. I have been told. When parking. Stop the car, put it in neutral, then put the parking brake on. Then put transmission in park.This way if you are parking on a incline. There isnt pressure on the trans. Love your informative videos.

This performance mode does it work in all C7 Corvette’s,? also on the emergency break, what I have learned to do is if you’re on a hill put your car in neutral first, then put the emergency brake on but let off the brakes so the car is being held by the brake pads and then put it in park so there’s no tension on the transmission. Good video👍😃💪

One of my favorite features (of my '19 GS 2LT) is that you don't even have to release the parking brake. You can gently press on the gas and the brake will release automatically. No more forgetting to release the brake. One thing I wish Chevy would adopt is when you put the car in park, the PB is automatically activated. My Jeep does this and it's awesome.

Hey Clarance, accually if you park on a significant incline or decline if you set your brake the vehicle will still move a little bit. I park in my driveway with a significant incline. So the best thing to do really is to put your vehicle in neutral set your brake and let of the brake. While you are still in neutral. The vehicle will move a little. This will give you brakes a chance to grab and will not let your transmission have ANY pressure on it at all. This will also let you now if your parking brake is working properly or not. On my truck if it will also let me now if i applied my brake hard enough to grab.

Great video!! In the lock out mode - how do you get in the car if your battery is dead but you want to protect yourself from rain, let’s say. Does the key from the remote let you open the door?
Good question the key does not open the door but I can tell you all about that feature and how to get in if it’s raining
Once you open the hatch, their is a manual pull cord on the drivers side . That pops the drivers side door open.

When you use the hidden key to unlock the trunk, does it unlock the doors too? It would suk to have to climb in through the trunk to reach the inner door handles. lol
Rob..drivers side in the trunk about halfway up is a pull cord. That will open the door

Is that a wrap on your Vette? At the beginning of your video, with the door open it looked like the car was originally a blue color. I have a 2017 Z06 2LZ in Admiral Blue. I wrapped my in clear, love the Ad Blue, in the sunlight it has a puple hue to it, almost like a candy clear coat. Found out the car draws down the batteries very quickly. Called Chevy dealer and a battery is $182, so I purchased a OEM charger and keep mine plugged in the receptacle in the trunk which is hot continuously, Chevy must have know there was a problem drawing down batteries. The charger was $92 on Amazon, new part with Corvette logo and OEM part number.
David Farthing hey David yes it's a wrap :))) I wanted to change something up and you are right about the battery. It does die pretty quickly if not maintained. How do you like your Z06?
@@cgarnerspeed252 Love the Z06, picked it up used back in July, felt like I got a good deal, 6k below Carfax value. It only had 1595 miles on it, one owner. It is my first Vette, always wanted one, just couldn't afford it. All the comments about old guys and vettes, usually they are the only ones that can afford one. Did some research and found out in 2017 only 440 Z06 coupes were produced in Ad Blue. Could not find the break down for 1,2,3LZ for just Ad Blue, but overall production of all Vettes in 2LZ is about 38%, using that figure it places the number of 2017 Z06 2LZ in Admiral Blue at about 158. Add in the fact that I have Chrome wheels, which I love, and carbon flash badging, which is an odd combo, I think I have a fairly low production number car. Got all docs with car, window sticker and built sheets. Sorry, to have asked the wrap question, was one of your first videos to watch, later saw a earlier video without the wrap. Thanks for answering and I will continue to watch updates. What year and trim Level is yours, enjoy the ride and be safe.

Your parking brake advice also applies to those with manual transmission. The key fob "trick" applies to the C6 as well. For your next "trick," show your viewers how you can start the car with a dead battery in the fob. How do you know the fob battery is dead? You should get a reading "No Fob Detected." Be careful with these "tricks" Clarence, Chris Angel may get a little worried. lol Save the Wave.
The c6 has the same key future for the trunk
Better on number two, if you have it in neutral, engage the parking brake than put it in park.
Hey bro...on tip/trick no. 3, once your truck opens you can pull the manual door release cable to gain further access to your car. Great tip for auto trans owners with regard to using e-brake feature. Manual owners have no other choice lol. Thx CGS252...see ya on Friday bro. 😉👍

Your supposed to put the parking brake on before you put it in park. It’s in the manual.

My dream car is a 1967 427cui coupe corvette with a manual gear box. I don't know I love to have a classic car. But I love the Vette in general. It is affordable and for its price you gehr a lot of sport car 😉.
