The Best Sidearm Build I've Ever Used

- This is the best sidearm build I've ever used in Destiny 2. It includes a Demolitionist perk on a Lonesome sidearm, Shinobu's Vow, and an Enhanced Bomber perk on boots while playing Arcstrider Way of the Current.

I use a sidearm build with trickslevees and double sidearm and it's pretty fun.
Most people don't really consider it a threat so when you have things that sync up with what your using they get a nasty surprise.
Great plays, TV.
Put on Kapris Horn and have some fun. I laughed so hard playing with the curated trust, Kapris Horn and a bunch of paragon mods. The nice thing is you can use Kapris horn with any Titan subclass.
@@00mantara00 that's something I never knew about that exotic, thanks
I might try this out today
@@JXR-Kanoki
It just synergises best with solar. I forgot yo switch back to my skull fort when changing to arc and realized I was still tossing fire with baracades XD
True Vanguard What’s That Shader On Your Sidearm????
Bungie - we hear your feedback, nerfing sidearms again👍
I am starting to follow your philosophy and not limit myself to any one style has improved my game a bunch
respect
That few seconds where you explained why you emoted on that steam hater made the whole video for me. Always defend the Misses Honor! Good stuff my man!
Making great points about having fun TV🤙 & nice roll on that Lonesome too
Feels good to put a hater in there place doesn’t it, it put a smile. Have to say the if I had to play against this build I would be so frustrated. Great insight to a unique build.
@Christopher Palmer Imagine being so insecure and bad at insulting you have to Target someone's relative/close one... That is honestly pathetic
Is there a video of TV spanking that guy in the crucible?
RIP2130 looks like we found the 12 year old
RIP2130 what are you talking about?
*calls TV trash and that he's a sweatlord*
TV: ehhh whatever, I'm not judging -
*Starts insulting the wife*
TV: oh we playin that game now, are we, bring that ass here, I'm about to awake the hive with this ass clap *drops 41 kill game*
I think what I learned most here is that your decision making is exceptional. I am constantly regretting tunnel vision when engaging more than one enemy. You are so good at splitting them, then changing priority based on the situation. Fun to watch.
Just realised I've been watching for about 6 years. Thanks for the content. The best dad UA-camr out there haha
I must say I can appreciate the builds you make. Too many players are so focused on what the population says that they overlook builds that are actually good, to this day I still use rat king and own people just to prove a point. Please continue with the great work
You are the only person to do a video on sidearms in the last 8 months I swear
I accidentally clicked off the video and searched it back up to like it! Love the content. I’ve been watching since the beginning of d1 and I still remember some of the videos you made back in d1.
I've been running a full-auto/snapshot/rr/full bore Drang as my close quarters gun and love it. Always enjoy when you show sidearms some love.
Ok! I had Lonesome with demolitionist, rapid hit, handling masterwork, corkscrew rifling, and ricochet rounds on it in my vault and never used it until I watched this video. I have been running it on my storm caller with 100 discipline and 89 recovery with getaway artist and *OH MY GOODNESS!* Such a great gun and build! Wow!! Great recommendation, sir!
I got one with rapid hit, swashbuckler, Range mw, fullboar ricochet rounds.. I think I’m going to try your build tonight
Rapid hit is really good on 260’s
In general I run a 260
Rapid hit + opening shot
Lonesome.
Perfectly vertical
Opening shot helps get the rapid rolling
Solo’d it up to fabled
Only really switching to Vestian (another really stable consistent sidearm) so I could use kinetic snipes and bows when spamming energy snipes and bows (monarch) (Tatara’s) got tiresome.
You guys know the point of this build is to have the demolitionist perk right..
Cam
* screams in sidearm main *
Cam it’s not completely necessary for the build.
As someone who really enjoys the Lonesome, this video really hits home! I've been looking for how to improve my lonesome experience and now I'm excited to give this a shot. Thank you TV
I'm impressed with how well you're doing with this sidearm because I used it before during a menagerie run & it definitely had a learning curve to it
I love tinkering with Demolitionist builds. Great content as usual TV.
I think with the new mods system, builds like this are gonna be even more fun
Agreed! Hopefully on top of that, the seasonal artifacts should give crazy perks to kind of shake up the meta from season to season.
I got my first ever We Ran with that sidearm and a sniper on my Warlock (3 things I never use), glad to see it getting the love it deserves! I'm going to try this loadout for myself tonight!
To me Fallout is the shotgun guy and you are the sidearm guy.
Love the sidearm plays! Your absolutely right when you said LOTS of people play one dimentional. It's because nobody plays games to have fun anymore. Majority of gamers will always stick to the meta and the easy path cuz they simply lack the intelligence to go out and have fun and it's all about winning and stat farming these days
as a new discoverer and avid user of shinbous and skip grenades i appreciate this video so much
no ones talking about how tv legit just dodged like 5 supers casually
I’ve been waiting for a vid with this sidearm. I kept saying it’s sooo good. Just the gun alone is awesome!!!
I snagged a perfectly stable
Rapid hit+Opening shot
I got called out for using a “cheap build”
It ain’t even got a damage perk on it brother! 😅
I used a similar thing myself. Le monarque and that sidearm with multi-kill clip. Very underrated.
I’ve been using this sidearm with overflow and swashbuckler, and the beloved with quickdraw and snapshot sights. It’s so much fun to use
Where do you find people to just run into your area ?
I feel this on an emotional level. I always see youtubers playing against these chickens with their heads cut off while I play against teams sweatier than a sauna in the middle of Summer
grim jimbo streamer lobbies
Its because he plays for 5 hours. Thats 1. A lot of games and 2. Situational awareness and good flanks will cause a team to look silly sometimes. True Vanguard has uploaded tons of videos shredding good players. This type of comment is on every single pvp youtubers videos. There's more to being good than how well you aim
@@mynamesnotchom366 I know it's just you've got it or u ain't lol and I am terrible at crucible. The problem I have is my patience I reckon with enough practice I could get a lot better.Im not actually bad at the game like I can solo nighfalls and do high level content solo but I don't have the patience to stay in crucible when I'm getting shredded to become better!
He plays on console and his lobbies are filled with sub 1.0KD players
I agree here, been feeling bland about crucible for a while so I chucked on a side arm and experimented with them and found the last dance and this side arm to be ridiculously fun to use.
It's also so unexpected especially in the current meta and the way they feel to shoot has also improved my own gun play which is actually really awesome!
4:50 Thank you for showing us his name he will not be spared from our wrath
Bottom tree storm caller, getaway artist, anonymous autumn sidearm with full auto and rampage, Duke with rapid hit and rampage, am loving this build, arcsoul assists with sidearm in killing shotgun rushers, Duke for the range
Love the hunter gameplay
Genuinely thought I was the only one using Shinobus Vow, been using it since D1 days. Great stuff!!
It's weird how it's gone from being so strong in D1 to basically irrelevant these days
@@jsd4574 Literally at the start i throw 2 at least 1 dies and the others are bodyshottable
Felt like I was watching John Wick for a moment.
dude your build vids get me excited about trying these out on my hunter who is severely underappreciated. shes at 372 light. warlock is my main. thanks for the great ideas.
I tried to get you to fuse with me in equinox yesterday and you pushed me out of the way, sadness, but its always a nice surprise to matchmake with one of you guys!
The Reckoning weapons all sound so damn cool
I've loved sidearms ever since they nerfed ammo in D1.
Agreed bud, same here. 👍
I was snapping the hakke sidearm before the special ammos nerf, it sucks that after they were (are) overused
When I started D2 I could only get kills in crucible with cube auto and last hope. That side arm destroyed at the time. I remember being proud of my 1st 18 defeats in one game 😂
Jason Vor-da-hehes 🤟
Yeah in the early days of D2 i remember i used to call those burst Sliderms “Gut punch guns”
This won’t instantly kill you but your gonna wish you had a lighter lunch brother!
That’s what made me hate sidearms
I only recently gave Shinobu's Vow a try and it is so nasty.
To me those skip grenades are hands down one of the most lethal tools Hunters have at their disposal.
Not only do they track extremely well, but they also do a ton of damage to the point where a hand cannon body shot will usually clean them up. And even if you're not getting kills, playing against them is so frustrating that I find most people end up making bad plays.
Yeah I love this type of build. I often run a pulse/sidearm build or if I’m feeling daring a scout/sidearm. I really think sidearms are highly underrated. Heck, they can even do some decent work in PVE if you use them right.
Dang, there was a lot of shotgun apes in these matches TV. I loved watching you put them down! Great video!
Bro you cleaned house with this sidearm man, damn!
It happens more than you might think
I personally solo’d to fabled with Ratking/Vestian/Lonesome
On hunter (with Tricksleeves)
believe
brother
believe!!!
We’re out drawing Last words out here!
Fantastic gameplay, I really aspire to achieve your game sense and skill level and these videos are super helpful. Keep grindin my man!
Great slaying TV as always man. I agree 100%, I actually get tired of meta and ideas for different setups is a great idea. All very well provided insight on changing the game up. 👍👍
After watching this video, I just went to my collections and picked out the Traveler's Chosen. This happened to be one of the best choices I've ever made. The gun is so ridiculously fun to use, no meme. It's not very effective, I can confirm that, but you won't regret trying it out.
For those who are trying it out, tips: The biggest downfall to this weapon is the mag size. You blow through your 9 rounds really fast and often aren't able to secure a kill with the 9 rounds (especially on console). Since you can't increase mag size by anyway, put everything you can into reload bonuses. On my Hunter, I used Bottom-tree Strider + Frostees + 4 Paragon mods + Marksman Dodge for maximum dodge uptime, solely to reload the sidearm mid-gunfight.
I love Demolitionist, it's such an undervalued perk but in reality it has a lot of applications, i'd say it's the most versatile weapon perk as far as builds go in the game. I have it on my Doomsday and i can spam it in the Reckoning as much as i want without ever reloading once when combined with Taken armaments.
Am I the only one who finds it great that true who is the dad of destiny streams on Facebook now?
I love this gun. I have multikill clip, ricochet, and full auto. It's ridiculously good in everything.
I'm glad I got the Shinobu's Vow armor last week now! I never got to try this out in D1, so something to look forward to after I start my hunter!
That side arm is a beast!
I have a swashbuckler, graverobber lonesome that I love. People have been sleeping on this thing for awhile.
I like how he says
“Like I’ve got my one eyed mask, and....”
Cause thats all a titan needs😂
Lonesome also drops with slideshot, which fits a high mobility build well because slideshot allows you engage from much further and close gaps much easier
This is why I’m looking forward to armor 2.0. I don’t have the armor perk combinations to pull this off. I’m so hyped for Shadowkeep
Jesus boy is popping off and murking everyone with a sidearm.
I love that sidearm. I have one with full auto and opening shot.
Little cute tip here, if you throw a skip at someone and melee them you get a good chunk back. I forget this perk exists but it’s something
Got one of these beauties with appended mag zen moment and swashbuckler, I was going to pair it with top tree dawnblade today for the melee benefits. Thanks for all the inspirational build ideas man ❤️.
One really lethal part of your build that I didn't see is the ability to reflect projectiles back at enemies. I killed two Dawnblades in one super with their own flaming swords last week, and that is a huge adrenaline rush. Jotunn? Reflect it AND track the enemy with it. You can even block Golden Gun, although you can't reflect it. That super is actually a very strong offensive/defensive combo.
fun fact, the damage buff from the sidearm tricksleaves and Kill clip stack, so you can be doing ace of spades levels of damage with a lonesome. may even be able to 2 tap.
Me and my friend were doing sort of a random exotic thing with a random number generator. I got skyburners oath and popped off, highly recommend people try stuff like that, real good fun
I just got one of these with full bore, appended mag, full auto and multikill clip. It's fun as hell.
True vanguard this build is great I actually run the same exact build except I run Nightwatch and Austringer with it too as well. (Both with demolitionist)
My shinobus actually
Rolled with a fusion scavenger and sidearm loader its perfect pairing a lonesome and wizened rebuke w/ demolitionist. Literally never run out of grenades
The amount of times TV say "bomb" In his videos I wouldn't be surprised if he was on some sort watch list 😂
I've gotta drang from mangerie with moving taget and swashbuckler with a range MW. Side arms are slept on.
Yaaasss
I’ve been running Lonesome/Le Monarque recently and it’s a lot of fun. I don’t think sidearms get enough love
Love the build. I run one that is similar, with a pretty significant change, though. Highly recommend trying bottom tree rather than middle. The passive only recharges abilities on melee after electrify. All that cooldown your getting on hit is strictly from the Vow. So you basically just using the middle tree for the cool melee and guard during super. Bottom tree will give you crazy fast recharge on melee and grenade while health is red, which comes into play alot more. Plus you get the improved survivability with dodge, faster sprint speed, dodge cooldown on sprint, and on occasion the blinding effect plays out in 1v2-3 situations. Everything for bottom tree is built for aggressive pvp.
Basically your build only gets better with bottom tree IMO. (Unless you just really need that special melee)
Swashbuckler on the Lonesome is pretty darn nice. You can get a combination blow combo going and be leading with one shot to the body and a melee after you get the 5x swashbuckler. And it just keeps going and it just keeps going and it just keeps going...
Sidearm and a sniper is a good combo I like.
Managed to get one with full bore, ricochet rounds, zen moment, kill clip, and range masterwork👌
Love you TV you’re the man!
Everytime i see a full squad still using dustrocks and lunas with either OeM or stompees i just shake my head.
I get bored using the same loadout 2 games in a row.
Dude I KNOW... It's really sad. Don't forget Warcliff or Truth. YAWN.
Pve is also getting the basic bitch loadout Yawn
I actually use a very similar build for Rumble. The main difference is I use an Austringer with demolitionist over a sidearm. I also use the same Austringer with top tree Stormcaller, Arcbolt grenades and 5 ordinance mods in 6v6.
That's a very potent build you have their, and I like it!
Actually, I have a Black Armory variant of the Dead Man Walking that has both Kill Clip and Moving Target as its perks. This makes it very lethal once you get both Kill Clip and the Exotic Armor Mechaneer's Tricksleeves running at the same time.
Kill Times (Optimal [Shots]/ Body [Shots]); this was tested with Resilience-Tier of 6, so the numbers may fluctuate.
Normal: 0.67 [6] / 0.93 [8]
Kill Clip...: 0.53 [5] / 0.8 [7]
... & Tricksleeves: 0.4 [4] / 0.5 [5]
I wonder how potent Lonesome can be, once both Swashbuckler and Tricksleeves are active. O_o
I got a full auto lonesome with demolitionist and it melts, I love that thing
Stability is the most important stat for sidearms
Honestly, new Meta
Ive been waiting for a video on this
Great stuff brother
Pairs well with monarque
I agree about the rut. That's why I get frustrated seeing non stop one eyed and strikers and dawn blades with same weapons. But this makes me wish I hadn't dusted this sidearm with demolistionist
I have a Lonesome with Swashbuckler and Outlaw. Pairs really well with middle tree Dawn Blade. Empowered melee
Demolitionist on primary weapons gives only very little grenade energy. The Lonesome sidearm is the only sidearm that has Opening Shot active at all times if you have that perk on it which helps to get those headshots.
I run liar's handshake and an outlaw swashbuckler Lonesome with 80 range. Top tree arc. Lot's of fun. More pve perhaps though. Also swashbuckler Gunnoras Axe.
Counterbalance would negate the need for chambered and take you to 105 recoil.
Thanks for the videos.
I've been running something like this with monarch, it's nasty. Lonesome is a great cleanup, skip grenades are a great cleanup, and monarch is nasty lol
I think another thing that is keeping people playing the same way. Is the trash that goes on post match. I’ve been playing with different load outs and builds a bit as of late, trying to find something new that fits my style of play. But, in the matches that things haven’t worked, the amount of trash talking that goes in post game; just forced me back into the tried and true loadout just to make a point in the next match!
I was having a blast using veritys brow and an Outlast with demolitionist the other night, so many nades
Charles Henrick dude verity’s brow is so underutilized but I use it every single time I run riskrunner on my warlock
Do it with a warlock
Super fun builds
I’m sure people have tried this build already, but if u haven’t it’s controverse hold on middle tree void with demolitionist and grenade mods. Extremely fun😏
TV: “The best sidearm build I’ve ever used in Destiny 2”
Last Hope from year one: “ am I a *joke* to you?”
I hate last hope. I prefer the better 260s and 300 RPMS
Bruh I was so confused by your username😂 but yea I agree, I enjoy the slower ones too
@@bendekoning5120 I am God
I actually prefer last dance over last hope
One of my fav sidearms, mines has graverobber an kill clip with a range masterwork n a backup mag as well
Gah damn, you could make a hearty soup out of all of the potatoes that were matching against you in these clips. 4:17 i mean good lord, there were two of them right on top of you and they completely ignored that you were there! Gotta look at your radar, guardians!
top tree dawnblade, star fire protocol and demolitionist on otherwise max range austringer with an icarus mod. been a blast using it and maybe not as efficient. but always a good laugh to watch an OEM crutch explode .
I got this pistol with a good roll ,got to try it out in shadowkeep
I WAS IN THAT MATCH ON CONVERGENCE!! :D You steamrolled my team. 😂
Mate right after I watched this I did check my vault and I did find lonesome with demolitions and full auto plus range MW but I did also find last man standing with demolitions with auto-loading holster plus range MW i was having so much fun playing with this load out but I use Arcstrider below tree for mainly Disorienting Blow it's very useful when enemies have surrounded you
If only we had a connection based mode where people would just go and muck around, leaving the meta loadouts for every other mode which has SBMM. /s
Nope. If you don’t have OEM. Dust rock. Luna. Warcliff don’t even come into QP lol
I believe a lot of people have tried mixing it up but, ultimately ran into the brick wall of going up against shotgunners. They eventually feel compelled to fight fire with fire.
More specific: Stomp33s shotgunners, are ( imo) the most annoying thing in the entire game. On console that is. I'd rather vs a whole team of OEM titans.
@@jazay591 titans with OEM is way more annoying but, to each their own.
JeezayPeazay your a titan aren’t you
Admittedly the sidearm is great, however a similar experience can be had with a different primary with demolitionist. Some noteworthy examples include Bug out bag, Austringer, and Outlast.
I think we will be seeing more crazy builds with armor 2.0. As it is right now you have to grind for the exact perks you want and that's just no fun.
