I have the line 6 hx stomp after selling my helix. I been looking at this Kempers pretty hard since the release. I love what I'm hearing from them. I could use my stomp just for the effects. Thanks for comparison.
Clear recommendation. I use exactly this setup as I find the HX drives superior to those of the Kemper. The Kempers Delays and Reverbs on the other hand are killer.
@@alienlovesecrets9379 brilliant pairing that is the approach I am looking at as well. Best of both worlds- you can use the Kemper for profiling amps that you like and HX for effects. I would wait for the FM3 from Fractal however for the FX pairing with Kemper.
Kemper, Fractal AXE FX and Helix are all amazing with IMHO, with very minor tonal capabilities. With any of them you do have to spend some time to dial in the tones you want. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I have owned all three. I ended up using primarily the Helix because it sounds great and has an awesome user interface.
just finished watching a few comparison videos to see overall sonically which was warmer, its the kemper for me. also gotta say your playing is super inspiring.
To my ear There’s a “mid-range” tonality with the helix we’re i think it sits better in the mix even when playing in a band to my ear the helix seems to sit better in the foh mix. anybody else think the same? Would like to hear others thoughts
I switch to the HX Stomp after my Kemper was loaned to a buddy when he was doing some recordings in Nashville. I love both. Different beasts but both sound great. I use my Stomp 80% of the time now. It's just a simple tool that works easier for me. Love them both tho.
Thank you Terrace. Your playing is off the Charts. I use to own the Helix but sold it as it just left something to be desired and now own a Kemper Toaster Head. To me the Kemper so much more musical and authentic sounding.
Thank you Terence for that demo. My impression: The Kemper sounds a bit warmer, a bit more like a real valve amp. But very slightly difference for me. And I know the Helix sounds are more tweakable. Very difficult, if you need to decide between both.
They are both light years ahead of the multi-fx units I used in the early to mid 90s. I am a clean tones guy after 30 + years of distortion (/66 to early 00s). To me the Kemper had slighty rounder/warmer cleans. But, I'm sure you could ep them to be pretty close to the same. I was never a "classic" clean Fender guy - I disliked the scooped mid s- they were too "spanky" - but preferred the rounder, more balanced, three dimensional cleans from tweeds, Dano/Valco/Supro, early Ampegs (before they made them too clean and too loud!), and mid 60s Gibson tube amps.
Wow you are an amazing player! Love the poker guitar face as well you really pour your heart into your playing. Bravo! I will have to check out your album as well. The two units sound very close in tone so that tells me it really comes down to preference and need. I would only get the Kemper if I had tons of old vintage tube amps lying around to profile. It needs a color LCD screen to keep up with the competition.
Nice playing brother, I both rack versions I run Kemper Amps 4cable into helix out to Mesa boogie tube power amp stereo sound is incredible ….Kemper amps are much better no comparison
Kemper when both units are stock, but find a really good IR for the Helix and the difference becomes much much less..:)..Nice playing by the way bud..:)
You don't need to compare anything to a Kemper but to a tube amp. A Kemper always sounds like a tube amp. This is why saying any modeller sounds better than a Kemper is so silly.
@@gandhischlote260 OMFG 🤦♂️. What the hell do you think you are laughing at? (In order to use your words:) No, the Kemper is BY DEFINITION the only unit among the rest of the standard digital devices (Helix, Axe FX, Headrush, Mooer, Ampero, etc.) that is NOT a modeller. Simply spoken, it just records and reproduces soundwise exactly what you "feed" it with (a sound of any tube amp, if you wish). It does not model a sound like modellers do. Please do your goddamn homework. Silliness lies within dangerous half knowledge, obviously. Other than that: you completely did not understand what I said, did you?
Stop making these stupid videos. you dont notice different if its kemper, Axe, Helix, Eleven Track, Headrush etc...If you want sound like Van Halen you have to play like a Van halen 🤘🎸
This confirms my suspicions, in order to sound better I must practice, the Kemper or Helix can only take you so far
yup the player skills trump all else. Met a guy playing a cheap $200 Ibanez who sounded amazing recently.
Honestly, in a gig situation no one in the audience would ever tell them apart. Both sounded great, nice playing man 👍

yup Kemper needs a color screen and better interface.

It's impossible to tell those cleans aren't a tube amp on this video. Great tones!
true the line between real tube amps and modelers is so narrow and pros use modelers live now.

i dont even care which is which. your playing is awesome
I own both and keeping both..
Both sounded great. The Kemper was more 3D and rounded. Helix was little thin. Kemper for me.

Lovely playing - thanks for keeping the (fantastic) riffs consistent for those trying to make an informed choice. Great video
Can't go wrong with either.. Both can produce Excellent sound assuming the player can play. That is the most important factor.
Your playing is on point! Congrats Terence
Excellent playing ! I would love to hear a comparison including the HeadRush Pedalboard; that’s the one I’ve got my eye on.
Mannnnn what a feel and soul
Your playing is incredible man
Thank you Sir..
It’s the kemper hands down. Less user friendly but much more genuine tone. Great play btw man.
Nice man! How can you create that noise at 2:20? I cant see what you doin' :D
Kemper for me, thx man. Great playing you dive bombing maven, you.
Great playing! The Kemper profile (which ever it was) had a slight edge, but both had their own characteristics. Cant go wrong either way imo.
Thank you Terrace. Your playing is off the Charts. I use to own the Helix but sold it as it just left something to be desired and now own a Kemper Toaster Head. To me the Kemper so much more musical and authentic sounding.

They both sound great I prefer the Helix sound effects better you can't go wrong with either one
ideally would get the Kemper and the Line 6 HX Stomp for FX and as a backup.

Sick tones and playing bro
Hi Terence, wich one do you prefer if you had to take only one of them ??

Great playing. Kemper really stands out.
Hi Terence. Great playing sir. The Kemper has a more natural sounding response I think.. Which amp profiles were you using on both?
Great playing man
What song are you playing?
Which Strat are you using?
Ooh tasty playing, very tasty! They both sound great.
Time is in the fingers, he just showed that.
Nice chops!
I bought a helix floor...... but jeez I feel as if I'm starting to regret not going with a kemper stage instead
Wow, you are good at the guitar man!
Hey dude, your facial expression is most versatile and is superior than guitar play. Really awesome comparison demo video.
Nice Doc!
Nice playing brother, I both rack versions I run Kemper Amps 4cable into helix out to Mesa boogie tube power amp stereo sound is incredible ….Kemper amps are much better no comparison
You are a very good guitarist.
Get an A/B pedal for easier switch
Kemper when both units are stock, but find a really good IR for the Helix and the difference becomes much much less..:)..Nice playing by the way bud..:)
I couldn't tell the difference.
Kemper, easily. Great playing, btw.
KEMPER....

Sick playin bro 💪 kemper for sure
Kemper all the way! Organic tone
Kemper is actually very impressive
Great job👌 Kemper win 😎
For me, Kemper.
Here’s what I think...I think you are an EXCELLENT player! Dig your phrasing...Kemper sounds more like a real amp. Helix sounds good too.
MAN! You could make a pocket pod sound good. Lol
Kemper for sure.
Top Mojo 👍
Kemper!
Kemper
Kemper better quality those profile are killer it!!!!
Kemper sounds more natural and more real , it sounds like you are playing with a real guitar amplifier period……
Unfair comparison. At the helix you use a stomp for distortion. At Kemper you raise up the gain
