    This was the best video tutorial I have ever seen on refilling a 5 pound tank. Thank you my brother for just keeping it real.

    Thank you for not making a 20 minute long video full of anecdotes and useless info like so many UA-camrs do. You got right to the important information. Excellent tutorial. Cheers!

    If you are filling from a 100LB tank, does it also need to be inverted? That would be heavy to invert, but I always see videos where the source tank is inverted.

      Honestly… I’m not sure, and probably aren’t qualified to give an educated response. But would imagine it would have to be inverted

      Tanks are gas on the top, liquid on the bottom. You want only liquid going through the hose for this.

    I didn’t hear it mentioned or I might have missed it, the big tank is upside down so you are transferring in the liquid phase?

    • @precisionanglingYT
      @precisionanglingYT  Місяць тому

      Yes. Big tank has to be upside down. Won’t send the LP if it’s upright. Will just transfer a little pressure if the big tank is upright

    When you are done, propane on the 5lb tank is not under pressure if I’m correct ? How does it flow to the bbq then?

    • @precisionanglingYT
      @precisionanglingYT  2 місяці тому

      It’s pressurized from the 20lb. Always have pressure in the 5lb.

    I use the Mr Heater with a 20lb when I go camping. Maybe I'll do like you and use a 5 lb b/c I'm sure the 5 lb will get me through the night and I won't have to lug around a huge 20 lb tank. Thanks!

    What if I don’t hear the propane flow from the 20 to the 5. I am not getting what I’m doing wrong. Both tanks are open and the bleeder valve is open too.

      20lb tank upside down and higher than the 5? If so…should flow easily!!

    Good video presentation. Well constructed. My question is recently I purchased small 5lb and 11lb propane tanks for camping\picnicking. The vendor mentions doing a "Proper Purging of a Propane Tank" and provides instructions. Does opening\closing the bleeder valve do the same thing? Seems like it if the intent is to remove old air in a brand-new tank, the bleeder valve opening\closing does this job of proper purging. I'm guessing the vendor's instructions are more for larger tanks. Any advice?

      @precisionanglingYT  3 місяці тому

      Honestly, I may not be qualified to answer this will 100% accuracy. But to me, purging means purging the tank of air. For example, if I took my 5lb tank and filled with exact method, without the bleeder valve open, it wouldn’t fill fully. There would be air pressure in the 5lb, transferred from the 20lb. The air must be purged out to fill fully. Hope that helped, if not, may want to check with your tank manufacturer
