Hello Terry. Before placing a Bonsai in Full Sunlight - When you have repotted a Bonsai for how long do you leave it in a Shaded Area or Semi Shaded Area? Thank you.
Awesome tree and such a wealth of info Terry! I particularly like this video because the tree is not styled yet. Great to know the limits of work that should be done so that tree health is not compromised. The tie-down method is very useful. I've used similar epoxy technique to reinsert tools into wooden handles - filing the metal was helpful in my case to increase bonding surface area. What does your aftercare involve? Is it difficult to keep the moss alive without overwatering the newly planted root ball? Already looking forward to this tree's update. Many thanks from Canada!
Thank you Sue. Appreciate you pointing out some of the highlights. Glad you see you picked up on those and that they will most likely be useful to you at some point. Aftercare involves shading the tree a bit. The length of time is not definitive but a couple weeks should be ok. Then I move to more sun and eventually full sun. Wetting the foliage when possible and just wetting the moss but not watering the tree is advised. However one must be careful that you don’t create a scenario that the moss looks good and the soil is dry. The moss will eventually root into the media below but if exposed to too much sun prematurely then it will peel off. So I need to watch that. However considering the amount of foliage it should be well shaded. Thanks so much for the comments.
@@TerryErasmusbonsai Thank you so much for your generous advice Terry. Aftercare is often my downfall so this really helps. It's fun being in the 'other' hemisphere since I can plan and dream for the upcoming seasons. Much appreciation and best wishes!
I think you have a distorted image of a bonsai, you use some bonsai techniques but for me you are kind of a "cartoon sick, mad, crazy doctor evil, that experiment those trees" what you do is very far from what bonsai is meant to be...
The idea of growing bonsai is very interesting. Thanks for sharing 🥰
Indeed! It’s very absorbing.
Beautifully done!

A fantastic composition. That pot complements the tree perfectly. And as always, a fantastic demo with lots of very useful information.
Thanks so much Gora! Yes, the pot looks awesome with the tree I think. Glad the info was useful.

Wonderful demonstration of advanced potting techniques! I'll have to remember that chopstick trick. Thanks Terry!
My pleasure! The humble chopstick has many uses aside from eating noodles 😉

Hello, if possible, add the Persian language for better use of your useful videos
Thanks so much but I don’t think this is something possible for me to do manually. UA-cam does that automatically.

Yay! That was the vibe I was going for. Thanks!
