    Im very confused about the construction. Every website has something different. What are the different layers and thicknesses? Specifically which layers are memory foam and which are poly?

    • @NapLabReviews
      @NapLabReviews  2 місяці тому

      You can see the specific layer's labeled with their thicknesses here - ua-cam.com/video/MdbfbGdfncQ/v-deo.htmlsi=vSLmj8hYLJqomqqI&t=188
      The reason you may be seeing different websites report different measurements is they may be looking at the 2023 version, which has been discontinued / replaced.

    You are building this channel and deserve credit for it. JFYI I recently purchased a Serta Perfect Sleeper Sarlington 16" Queen Firm ( best ) from Medards 897.00 of disappointment . I will buy something else through one of your links soon. A lot of time ( 3 to 4 hours?) goes into this 13 plus minutes of video. I hope this grows into something rewarding for your efforts.

    • @NapLabReviews
      @NapLabReviews  4 місяці тому

      I'm sorry to hear the Serta didn't work out. Over the years, the feedback I've received regarding Serta mattresses from my readers / viewers has been "not good" to say the least. I am planning to test at least 3 Serta mattresses this Fall / Winter. I'm really interested to see how they do in our testing.
      Our videos take around 1.5 hours to write the script, 3 hours to shoot, and 15 hours to edit. Slowly but surely we're making that uphill UA-cam climb :)
      If you need any help choosing a mattress don't hesitate to send in a request here! naplab.com/mattress-quiz/
      And thanks so much for your kind words. I appreciate the support.

      Tried them both today and the Helix felt much better and of higher quality IMO. Tested the cooling cover on a different Helix and did feel some difference. And the option for additional zonal support is a plus

    Two more questions. How does the Leesa Legend (at $1050) compare to the Midnight Luxe (at $1650)? The Legend actually scores higher now than the new Luxe but figured I'd check with you before assuming anything. And not related to the Luxe, but should I be worried about the "zoning" on the Leesa Legend as I'm 5'6'' so not exactly tall (and I worry that the zones were made for average height which I'm below).

    • @NapLabReviews
      @NapLabReviews  Місяць тому

      Leesa Legend and Helix Midnight Luxe are very similar in terms of performance. You can see a side by side comparison here - naplab.com/tools/side-by-side-mattress-comparison-tool/?_mattress_name_dropdown=helix-midnight-luxe%2Cleesa-legend
      As far as I am aware, the Leesa Legend at Costco is not the same Leesa Legend on Leesa.com. In addition, we tested the Leesa Legend from Leesa.com, not Costco. As a result, I don't expect our performance findings for the Leesa Legend would match the Leesa Legend from Costco.com.
      Regarding zoning - my feeling is that it shouldn't be a major issue, but admittedly it's hard to say. Over the years I've had sleepers of all body weights and all weights reach out to me with both complaints and love for zoning. Some love the zoning, some hate it. But in any case, there doesn't seem to be any clear pattern on which sleepers will love / hate it. It really seems to be more personal preference than anything. All that said, a majority of sleepers seem to be unbothered by it or like the zonal support.

    Thank you for this review! I tried this updated version yesterday and it’s the absolute perfect feel that I want in a mattress- I’m 5’2”, a side sleeper, want something soft & squishy, and very curvy/round/bottom-heavy, side sleeper, and this felt like the mattress’ soft pillowtop was gently cradling & hugging me while still having support underneath…my only concern is the price. Is there any other mattress that would compare/feel like this? I originally wanted the Silk & Snow Hybrid Plush or Leesa Sapira Chill Plush but there’s nowhere to test the plush versions (perhaps the Oasis Chill Plush would be good?), and I really liked the Sleepy’s by Sealy Plush Eurotop (the pillowtop was similar to this Helix)..but this Helix was truly perfect. Also, how does this updated one compare in feel to the older model? Thank you!

      Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid (medium with the pillow top addition) - naplab.com/go/brooklyn-bedding-signature-hybrid-mattress - is going to be the closest to the Midnight Luxe, while being a good bit less expensive.
      Performance and feel are similar between the Midnight Luxe current version vs. the discontinued version.
      The discontinued version had lower motion, but worse sex performance. Feel was similar between the two. And overall performance was very similar.

    I am contemplating switching for the sunset luxe before the end of my 100 days and was interested in any advice you might have. I am 130 lbs and am a side sleeper that spends a good amount of time on my bed so I do end up laying on my back or sitting at times. I like the firmness and support of the midnight luxe for everything except I do feel that I could sink in a bit more for more spine alignment and less pressure on my shoulders. I feel I’m a tad too light for this mattress but I’m just worried I’ll find the sunset too soft and too close to my last denser memory foam mattress.

    • @NapLabReviews
      @NapLabReviews  3 місяці тому +1

      With respect to density - I don't think you'll find the Sunset Luxe like your previous memory foam. It's very similar in terms of density feel to the Midnight Luxe. The only difference is that it's a softer feel.
      If you mostly sleep on your side I think the Sunset Luxe is a great choice for you, especially at your bodyweight.
      If you're finding the Midnight Luxe isn't providing as much pressure relief / comfort / sinkage as you prefer then I do think the swap to the Sunset Luxe makes sense for you.

    Is this better than the Leesa Sapira chill? Which is firmer?

    • @NapLabReviews
      @NapLabReviews  4 місяці тому

      It's around the same performance level. You can see a side by side comparison here - naplab.com/tools/side-by-side-mattress-comparison-tool/?_mattress_name_dropdown=helix-midnight-luxe%2Cleesa-sapira-chill
      Both are the same firmness is the medium-firm option.
      However, Leesa Chill is also available in a soft and firm version, so those of course vary.

      @@NapLabReviews Ah no worries and thank you for the links.
      Also, I want to clarify that the Luxe GlacioTex upgrade only includes the cover while the GlacioTex upgrade on the standard Twilight includes a 2in plush topper.
      This should soften the core Twilight dramatically. Seems like a great stomach and back bed and could be a great option for combo/side sleepers weighing 160+ lbs.

    Two questions. I recently ordered the Midnight Luxe but I decided to cancel it because I'm not a fan of companies changing the product without telling you. The large increase in off-gassing makes me think that the quality went down. Has the quality gone down compared to the previous version? You mentioned that the Leesa Legend has not changed over the years in your review of that bed. Do you know if the Costco version is the same? It's so much cheaper that it makes you wonder. I'm looking for a mattress where I can trust the reviews and awards...because it's the same mattress as was reviewed!

    • @NapLabReviews
      @NapLabReviews  Місяць тому

      I wouldn't say the quality of the Helix Midnight Luxe declined, but the material layered design did change slightly, which did negatively impact performance slightly. The Midnight Luxe went from being a ranked #10 overall to being ranked #31 overall (out of 280+ mattresses). That still makes it an amazingly good mattress, but also one that lost some ground with this redesign.
      Regarding Leesa Legend - As far as I am aware, the Leesa Legend at Costco is not the same Leesa Legend on Leesa.com. In addition, we tested the Leesa Legend from Leesa.com, not Costco. As a result, I don't expect our performance findings for the Leesa Legend would match the Leesa Legend from Costco.com.
