      @michaelhenderson7739 Yep, when he said.....
      If I speak of myself, I bear witness to a lie because I am nothing and can do nothing of myself....
      The Christ on the other hand says Overcome the belief you aren't Divine Being and walk in the Kingdom of Heaven right here, right now!
      The Christ is the act of Eternal Life living itself, and it takes place through the Receptivity of the Crucifixion of the False appearance of the Mortal Self separate and apart from God.
      The Christ is ALWAYS ALIVE IN US, but we must be Alive to the Christ..
      We are either awake to good and evil(matter/mortality), or we are Awake to Divine Perfection(Spirit).
      When we are not attuned to Divine Consciousness, by default we are attuned to Mortal Consciousness!!

      @@ISATŌP1 this is a lot of new age jargon. Let’s cut through all the mind games. You and I are not Christ. He is a separate being from you. We do not conjure up Christ consciousness within us. When we accept, believe in, trust in and rely upon Him totally for our salvation, we then received the gift of the Holy Spirit and are forgiven. Before that, we do not have any of Gods spirit within us. A few simple words to you. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved. Do not try to find the christ within you. That christ is antichrist and is from the evil one.

      And here, in this channel You are not able to mess with anything that You want. We talking about God’s who exists. God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. God which is described in Bible. He revealed His name to Moses and His people, Israel - and His Name is about YHWH, spelled most often „YaHWeH”. Which means firstly „One that fiercely loving”, second „Making to exist/live”, next „The One That Is Existing”. Jeshua met Him. Also parents of Samson. Also King David. King Salomon saw Him in his dream. Prophets saw Him in visions.
      So don’t mess with us with any biased „Coran” writtings. Just try to understand what this video is about - stop trying press here Your religious beliefs.

    Thank you for this brother Tod ... i love that your channel is faithful in giving answers to most of my questions and clearly present everything biblically.
    Im always refreshed after listening to your videos, and most of the time, it is something i needed to hear and be reminded of. I used to live in the US but i was exposed to tempatations there, too weak to flee away, and now im in my home country, restored my marriage and hubby and I are now faithfully serving God. Your channel has been a constant companion in learning more about God. And to be honest, i appreciate all that you share now that my heart is humble. Initially I found the words you say with arrogance... but it was just really my own arrogant heart that was resisting to be broken of my sin. Im glad i kept listening and kept praying and kept reading the Bible. Now i have the confidence in Christ redeeming work in my life. I have the joy of my salvation and the love of my Abba Father.

  • @Comrade_Alpaca
    @Comrade_Alpaca 7 місяців тому +9

    I love the way Todd phrased the response to "Does God Exist?" at 1:40. I've heard (and used) both points "Look at the human eye, it is way too complex to exist without a creator," and "The building is evidence of a builder." But, merging them into the same point in the way that he did is actually genius and a connection I had never made before tbh. "This building is not as intricate as your eye." It's a very powerful point when you contrast God's creation and our inventions. The argument could be taken even further by using an anthill as an example. We see an anthill and immediately accept that there is an ant colony that built it, yet an anthill is absolutely nothing compared to even the least complex naturally-occurring structure like a plant. A system of holes in the ground is evidence of an ant colony, yet it is so difficult for people to accept that our eye is evidence of God.

    • @Faust2Dr
      @Faust2Dr 5 місяців тому +1

      But the human eye is not created, it has evolved. It also has flaws, e.g. blindspots, and many many creatures have far more sophisticated eyesight, because they have needed it to survive. The appearance of creation is not the same as something being created. We know buildings require builders because they are not natural phenomena. But something natural does not imply a creator.

    • @vi-yn1ss
      @vi-yn1ss 4 місяці тому

      Well, if eyes were created then the designer that did that wasn't a very efficient one... Why design around 50 different types of eyes when that designer could have just used the best design and given it to all creatures? Why design a habitat that's 80-90% unsuitable to life in a universe that's 99.9999% unsuitable to life? What a waste, what a terrible designer....

    07:20 Very wise advice... People do not understand we have sinned against God Almighty. The source of our life.

    • @ISATŌP1
      @ISATŌP1 8 місяців тому

      God did not create that which can die, so think again.....!!
      The only SIN against God is the mortal belief in a life separate and apart from God, and the reason you believe you are a Mortal being!!
      In proportion to our abandonment of God are we taken care of by God. Therefore, we must surrender to the Will of God if we truly Desire to Discern the Movements of God within, as God conducts his Will in ways that oppose human will and understanding.
      We must Remove the False Mortal Image of a mortal ME separate and apart from God....
      The Christ(Realization of Spiritual Immortality)is the act of Eternal Life living Within its own Infinity, and becomes Demonstrable through the Receptivity of the Crucifixion of the Self separate and apart from God....
      The Christ is ALWAYS ALIVE IN US, but we must be Alive to the Christ....
      When we are not attuned to Divine Consciousness(Eternal Life, Immortality, Truth, God), by default, we are attuned to Mortal Consciousness(karmic death, mortality, form, fear, evil, etc)....
      Every communication Unfolding from God within is to encourage the Spirit/Soul die to the False Sense of Mortal Self, as the Purpose of the Soul is to take Dominion over our only Adversary, the World Mind and it's thoughts tempting us to believe mortality/form/decay is reality...
      The Christ Within asks one thing of us:
      Crucify the Belief in a mortal Me Separate and Apart from the Immortal, Omnipresent Spirit of God, as there is no more Glorious a Demonstration than the Transformation from mortal sense to Spiritual Immortality...
      Heaven is where you are and the only place that you can ever be, yet Hell is the place that you insist on experiencing by entertaining a mortal life separate and apart from God.

      No they don’t because they all think they are good people inherently and that could t be farther from the truth when you compare yourself with the ten commandments. How many times have I seen Ray Comfort show to unbelievers what pastor Todd is saying: expose their sins in light of the law and the gospel . This humbles us when we as Christian’s loom from where God has brought us : living for self , unconcerned about our life and those of others , that there is a coming judgement just as those who break the law here on earth have a day of reckoning .(although our justice system is not always full proof ) .

    8:55 Yes! The harmony of the attributes of God in the cross of Christ! I first hear Paul Washer talk about this, who rightly remarked that no one talks about it. As soon as Todd said, "he did this to demonstrate...," it was like a relief. So seldom do Christians go to this foundational theological point to answer the question of evil and why things are the way they are. I love it. It provides the way to articulate the continuity and consistency of our faith and the gospel that is otherwise difficult to explain.

    • @theeternalsbeliever1779
      @theeternalsbeliever1779 8 місяців тому +8

      It's not really the best answer to everything that starts with "why" in regards to God, because He does things for a purpose, and the "whys" are usually explained in the Bible. The "why not, He's God" answer is intellectually and biblically lazy. If a professing Christian can't answer those questions with the Bible, then it's a sure sign that either (1) they're not really a Christian or (2) they're not invest enough time into studying the Bible.

      Creation itself proves there’s an intelligent designer; order & design. Proves there’s a intelligent creator; the earth is a cosmic coincidence, it clearly shows a intelligent designer;
      The universe cannot exist without an intelligent creator; human DNA contains 8 billion bits of information; DNA cannot be seen with the naked eye
      "Every song has a composer, every book has
      an author, every car has a maker, every
      painting has a painter, and every building has
      a builder. So it isn't irrational to take this
      simple logic a little further and say that
      nature must have had a Maker. It would be
      irrational to believe that it made itself."
      Life cannot spontaneous generate;
      Law of Biogenesis states that life arises from pre-existing life, not from nonliving matter. It means that a nonliving thing would not have the capacity to engender a living thing. Only another life can do that.
      it’s simple logic; To be an atheist, I would have to believe...

      21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. law of thermodynamics;
      Life cannot spontaneous generate; Law Of Biogenesis Definition
      Law of Biogenesis states that life arises from pre-existing life, not from nonliving matter. It means that a nonliving thing would not have the capacity to engender a living thing. Only another life can do that. The complex, organized structures and processes in living organisms cannot spontaneously arise or develop through chemical reactions or physical means alone. They require a pre-existing living system as the source of new life.
      The idea that what has happened on Earth seems to be contrary to the more general statements of the second law of thermodynamics is generally rebutted1 by noting that the Earth is an open system, and the second law only applies to isolated systems.
      Nevertheless, the second law is all about probability and there is something about the origin and evolution of life, and the development of human intelligence and civilization, that appears to many to defy the spirit, if not the letter, of the second law even if the Earth is an open system. There seems to be something extraordinarily improbable about life.
      The second law of thermodynamics - at least the underlying principle behind this law - simply says that natural forces do not cause extremely improbable things to happen, and it is absurd to argue that because the Earth receives energy from the Sun, this principle was not violated here when the original rearrangement of atoms into encyclopedias and computers occurred.
      Romans 1:20
      King James Version
      20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

    When I am asked how God can be three in one I use the analogy of man having three distinct parts the body, mind and spirit. The fleshly body with its physical desires and and needs can act as one regardless of how the other two feel like say a drug addict or alcoholics cravings. The mind can function on it's own based on knowledge, thoughts, information and past experiences regardless of how the other two feel like controlling the desires of the flesh by saying no to things that are wrong, unsafe or not being good for the whole thus controlling how the other two operate in tandem. And the spirit based on emotion can cause one to act despite how the mind or body feels about something like when you see someone in need and your brain reasons it's not your job or that someone else will help them or your body might feel that helping will mean doing something physically which it doesn't want to do like helping someone change a tire on the side of the road. This idea come to me when I inquired of God to help me make sense of the Trinity. So far it's worked and everyone says it makes It makes sense to the and they can wrap their minds around the concept.

To believe you can earn your salvation is self-righteousness. Truly, ask God to show you the truth in prayer, and read what His Word says about this.
      You shouldn’t look inside yourself or your own actions and beliefs to figure out what God has determined, but look in God’s Word itself. Our hearts are deceitful above all else. All humans naturally try to earn salvation, but our natural actions are sinful, and we need Jesus to save us and make us new creatures in His GRACE. Knowing that there is a GOD is having FAITH, knowing you see HIS creations the very second you open your eyes, when you wake.
    (James 4:6 ) tells us that “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble."
    Not a low sense of self, but a peace in oneself knowing there is a Creator, and it blows my mind how GOD even talked to some people in history vocally, the Creator of all things talking directly to them. It's not about our pride, it's about GODS GRACE...PERIOD

    Why do not Christians use these passages in their discussions about God and there certainly are many more
    Romans 1:19-20-19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

      There are two ways to answer that, both of them being true.
      1. The first one, every crime has a punishment, and therefore since every sin is a holy offense to God, in an infinite offense, then it has to have an infinite punishment.
      2. Who says they stop sinning once they get to hell?

      Just think of this way, God loves us so much that he will not force us or anyone to be with him.
      God is Loving but he is also Just.
      Sin must be paid.
      Romans 6:23 "for the wages of sin is death.. "
      Sin is a very serious crime to God.
      Sin is an act of rebellion that separates us from God.
      If God will just forgive all sins without punishment do you think he will be a good judge?
      Like in a court of law if the judge will just forgive the crime committed by the criminal without punishment would that be good?
      That's why Jesus died for our sins and paid it on our behalf so that we will no longer be in eternal damnation. Repent and trust in Jesus.
      Hope this helps you understand.

    4:37 Understanding the holy trinity 3 in 1. I was given the example of Ice that when melts turns to water that when heated turns to steam. That is something called modalism, something distinct from the Biblical trinity, it a false teaching that teaches that God is one person that changes forms and presents himself as three different persons while only being person. I would avoid using water as a means to understand the trinity, as it always makes people see it as modalism, but if you want to use it for yourself, just imagine that each part is distinctly and entirely water, and that all 3 exist at the same time while being distinct but all water entirely on their own. It is often said, God has revealed himself eternally existing as 3 Persons, all 1 being. (I know you are asking Todd Friel, but I am certain he would answer in the same way, without the attempt to correct the metaphor.)

    • @enudretheinsult
      @enudretheinsult 8 місяців тому +3

      @@coolaleco8568 Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I read that the flaw in Modalism is that only one can be present at a time, whereby we know that all three are distinct individuals. For example Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father in Heaven, he does not sit at the right hand of himself.

    • @coolaleco8568
      @coolaleco8568 8 місяців тому +1

      @@enudretheinsult I will expand a bit for you. We are forced to believe in the doctrine of the Trinity because we are taught by scripture that
      1.) There is one true God
      2.) There are 3 persons revealed as the one true God. The Son, The Father, and The Holy Spirit, and they are distinguished from one another.
      It is something that is clearly taught but not intuitive to understand. I have heard it been put that every analogy of the Trinity will break down when examined thoroughly because the Trinity is something entirely unique, there is nothing like it. You are you, you are a person, and your body is your being, our being is limited, it is physical. An inanimate object has being but no personhood, it exists but it is not alive. God is 3 persons, who exist in the same being, but this being is unrestrained and unlimited like ours is, this is how the incarnate Son can sit at the right hand of the Father, while both are the one true God. I don't think the Trinity will be fully clear until heaven.
      Some things cause some to stumble over the Trinity, such as Jesus calling the Father his God, or when God's word refers to the Father as the One True God. Some things are unintuitive but whenever something is not intuitive to me I've found great resources online about it.

      That is more like Modalism which is not 3 in 1 but 1 that shows himself in different modes at different times. We just need to stick with all the truths statements of scripture. We can use a logic statement such as 1G is (1F and 1S and 1HS). Where G is God. F is the Father, S is the Son and HS is the Holy Spirit. G is of type being and F, S and HS are of type person.

    Does God need to be necessary for the Universe existing? I mean, my gut reaction to this is no... but my philosopher's instinct is "How does Trigonometry work?" Because I'll tell you this, you see design in the universe. It's mind boggling how accurate number theory actually is, and basically all our math is based on that. Like... it's more a question of "Why does that come about randomly?" And I think that's more honest because I don't know. Like, just with a quadratic equation, there's logic to how it works, and you can construct a shape based on those rules, and it will ALWAYS produce the right answer. Like, why does that happen, if random chance produces everything? And then that right answer will be useful in all areas of life. Like based on the geometry of two dimensional objects, you can reduce exponentiated equations, and use those answers for just about anything, from astronomy to engineering to solving a geometric proof. That's how in tune numbers are with the universe. So that's why it holds water, but you can't just tell people to accept that on faith. And that's I think the problem with most Apologists, is they don't thoroughly explain why morals prove God exists, or why math does. It just gets assumed. But, that's why I'm here, to make those difficult arguments, in a more nuanced setting, so people actually do believe in God, and actually do come to saving faith.
    I also think the cause and effect are reversed. It's always, "Because God, therefore these things." I go the opposite, "Because these things, therefore God."

      Time is in essence is just one thing. But it made up of 3 parts. There is the past, present, and the future. All three parts are what makes up time,
      just like the Triniy which is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
      Then there is matter which is composed of 3 different primary states in the universe
      There is liquid, gas and solid.
      Next is the colors in our world . All colors come from 3 primary colors, which are red, blue, and yellow. Mixing any two or even three of these primary colors, will produce a new color.
      Also you can use this last analogy to explain the Trinity.

    As I see it Wretched tends to behave like a weathervane theologically. Sometimes it points in the right direction. Other times . . .

    The biggest problem you have is not that you know something about God, it's thinking you understand him, with your still wicked and unchanged heart.
    Know the lord, sir.
    You don't understand God's goodness

    The questioner at 5:14 'going off of'? Don't they teach grammar in the US? Better: just say 'going off...'. No need for the 'of'. It's no only pronouns that are confusing, prepositions apparently are a challenge as well.

    It's interesting you'll find at the top of most world religions a little 'elite' group who effectively say, "There is a single Creator God which we know very little about." and that was the 'secret knowledge' you had to work through the whole pagan system to be told about and weren't allowed to speak openly.

      Whether water is wet or not, doesn't affect where u will spend eternity. However, whether Jesus is or isn't who he claimed to be does affect where you will spend eternity. So that's the more important question.
