- Hello and welcome to the second of my build videos of the Tamiya CW-01 Midnight Pumpkin. In this episode we will be looking at steps 11 to 22 finishing the chassis from adding the rear drive unit to fitting the wheels and tyres.
The ever popular 1/12 scale R/C Midnight Pumpkin is now available as a special "Black Edition" model, featuring a stylish Black ABS moulded body.
The R/C Midnight Pumpkin (first released in 1987) was loved for its camp appearance as much as for its R/C performance.
The 1950's style U.S. style pick-up truck body is raised up over the monster truck wheels to ensure that this R/C truck will get attention anywhere you choose to drive it.
A great product for Midnight Pumpkin fans or R/C drivers wanting a good looking and fun product.

I love this kit! The one thing I find the hardest to do is getting that chunk of rubber tubing onto the shock shafts! It fights me every time!! I still love building them though!!!

The little springs on my rear axle 'brackets' have been missing for so long that I'd forgotten it ever had them. The only consequence seems to be that when I go from moving forwards to reversing or vice versa, there's a loud noise as the plastic sicky-outy-pins slam to the top or bottom of their groove. It's been like that for 25 years or so.
