Hi Rob I’ve nearly finished my build but am having a bit of a problem. The car is going backwards when I give it throttle. And forwards when I want it to go backwards. I made sure the differential gear was installed the right way round and I just double checked to be sure. It seems to be correct. I am using a Fly Sky FS-GT3B controller and tried changing the reverse setting to NOR and REV but it made no difference. I swapped the two wire connections between the ESC and motor, as suggested by the troubleshooting in the ESC’s instruction manual. It now works correctly. Do you have any idea why it might be going in the wrong direction? Problem with the controller or something else? Any advice would be most appreciated. Thank you.

I just had a quick question do you know if the Avante tires are the same tire that goes on the rear of the super hot shot? They look similar I was just curious.

I am so glad I found this video. Thanks for making it! I am a beginner and thought the Plasma Edge will be a really easy build. I have found it to be quite challenging (I am not a technical person or good at making things).

A 550 brushed motor fits fine ive yet to test a steel 18 or 20 pinion as mines fresh built. At the moment i have a redcat????? 550 motor and esc both work and fit perfectly.

Finish your curry,take the lid and cut it out using the rear window as a guide and plus 10mm all around. Couple slots for the roll bars and cover with some black vinyl. Slot in and bit red insulation tape to hold and the rear window is sorted.

Thank you so much rob , I am not cleverest bunny in the word but thought it sod it I have always wanted to but and build and RC car and I chose the plasma edge 2 , but after looking at the intructions (as good as they are) My noggin still just farted at me, so off to youtube I go and you I finds , just finished up on the main parts of chassis and now onto the radio/electrics. just need to work out now if I should use just tamiya lubes etc or if theres cheaper versions, but thank you for simple easy to follow videos for the dumb of mind.

It's weird, even though I packed the box I was still excited to see what you were going to pull out next.! 😉😂😁 As you were opening the little boxes I was like "Nice one", "sweet".! 😁😁😁 I can't tell you how happy it made me feel seeing you guys opening the parcel, you couldn't wipe the smile off my face right now.!! 👍 👍 I'm glad you seemed to like the metal caged rock buggy Mcthingy, I had all kinds of cool images in my head when I started building it, I even got a thin alloy sheet to make body panels with (let me know if you want it) but one thing led to another, I kept getting distracted, I ended up using the axles, shocks & driveshafts on a different build then it ended up stuffed in the loft for about 5 years.! As soon as I found it again along with the Hobao DC1 I knew I had to send it down to you guys.!!👍 👍 The FTX Stinger is a fantastic car, it slides around really well & it was very quick out the box with it's Hobbywing 10BL60 ESC & 3652, 4000kv? Motor.! I GPS'd it at 56 ish MPH.!! I've actually replaced it with the new FTX EVO30 brushed version that I've fitted the Stingers brushless system to.! 😉 Hopefully that light funtion module will still work with a different reciever, the stock one's a DumboRC. I can't say for certain if all of those brushed ESCs are working, they'll need to be tested. The brushless Rlaarlo ESC works & it's decently powerful, but the brakes sometimes don't release after you've applied them 100%, you have to blip the throttle to release them. It probably just needs to be calibrated but the manual didn't say how & I cant find anything online. Also nothing about programming it.!! I used to turn the brakes down on my FS-GT5 transmitter. It was taken from a Rlaarlo AK-787 alloy version.! Those part worn SC tyres are from a Hobao Hyper 10SC & in my opinion they really should go back onto that truck.... But you guys don't seem to have one.!? Well...that's not right.!! Something should definitely be done about that.! 😉 😉 Any hoo.. Very nice build- tutorial!! I still have a question: what are about the two holes at the gear-housing that you mentioned in the first part wich you didn't put screws in? Can't find that point in the manual and now at your finish you even left this two holes without screws. I think at lest one of the screws should be mounted at the right side. What do you think? Did Tamiya forget about them?

I had this same soldering iron a few years ago. For it's price it's an excellent soldering iron and I don't care what anybody says. I am very proficient at tin soldering and this thing does the job. The failing point for these is the insertion of the power cord into the pcb so please make sure to do your preventive fixes if you buy one. For a homeowner it's great

What a nice collection to get hold of. The Boomerang will be salvageable with re-re parts but it depends on the cost as to whether it is worth it. You would definitely be able to sell it on
