Beaver Couple Eating among a Chorus of Frogs (Nature ASMR at Elk Island National Park)

  • There are a number of beaver ponds at Elk Island. This one was along the main road, and we watched a couple of beavers eat the bark off of the trees they had collected, much like one would eat corn on the cob. The Boreal Chorus Frogs were singing up a storm in the morning sunlight, so much that it was almost deafening with the sound broken by the calls of some Canada Geese and a Franklin's Gull. Even with all the constant sound, if you listen quietly you might be able to hear the beavers quietly gnawing away.
    Contains no narration to avoid spoiling the pristine sounds of nature.

    Can't recall the last time I saw a beaver. The fir so unique and eating a tree just like the movies... Great shots and to have the chorus of frogs a bonus. Enjoyed the relaxing time at Elk Island National Park. 🤠👍 Thanks Donna and all the best, Mike

      They definitely can be troublesome for humans! Especially chopping down trees - there was one that was climbing out of the creek valley and cutting down the trees in a local park night after night, and a [human] resident who took it upon themselves to see who the vandal was. He was surprised to find out it was a beaver! Lol.

    Hi Donna,
    Wow You can spot those beavers in disguise...
    Ohhh the sounds are from frogs...I thought of some insects
    Did I hear geese in background from time to time???
    What is this beaver eating?? or just shaving the twigs?
    I am glad that so many animals are active we enjoy in nature...I thank YOU.

    Wow... They are not bothered at all... that's what the biodiversity teaches us... Everything around us should be respected and we shouldn't distrub them and shouldn't feel disturbed about their presence... That's my take away form this cute video... Thanks for sharing, Donna...

    These beavers are so much safer here than in urban areas
    Massachusetts has banned all trapping and beavers 🦫 have multiplied
    Unfortunately, when they cross roads and highways, it invariably does not end well……..

    • @DonnaTaibossigai
      @DonnaTaibossigai  4 місяці тому +1

      Very true, beavers do not cross roads very quickly. It's always sad to see lovely animals that did not make it. I've only ever seen porcupines as roadkill as well.
