Sparkle collagen and Biosil have helped my nails so much!
I also use gloves when cleaning, and a scalp brush for washing my hair to keep my nails from being wet/soft.

Push comes to shove, you can apply a little petrolatum on the cuticles instead of buying a cuticle oil and a cream with urea or lactic acid can be helpful as well.

I have a vertical nail split that has been a problem for years....I have tried everything, including some of the products that you mention here. Have also consulted my dermatologist with no avail. Do you have suggestions?

I have this also. It started out as the vertical split and then spliting layering began until it all fell off. I’ve just kept applying the Barielle repairing and hardening clear polish, but no growth. It actually hurts because it’s soft now and I have no idea what to do. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Dear Dr Locke, I have recently found your channel. I am so grateful that I have! I recently bought (on your recommendation) the Dermelect lip line cream. I was/am truly astonished at the difference it made on the first application. Admittedly my lines are minimal but I didn't expect them to nearly go, amazing stuff, thank you. I just bought the Vit C serum but only applied that once but I now have high hopes for an improvement. I don't live in the USA so cannot get all the Dermelect products but will have a go to find some. Do you recommend manicures? I am low maintenance but looking a bit rough as in my 60's so want to up my game a bit. You have such a lovely manner and appear to be a beautiful person, inside and out, thank you.

There's at least one derm who specializes in hair who is not a fan of biotin. And most derms usually do recommend if you're taking biotin, to stop a few days before having any labs done.

I do a lot of cleaning for work. Even if I’m constantly wearing gloves I also frequently wash my hands. Even if I’m applying moisturizer after each cleanse it doesn’t have time to absorb and then I’m just washing it off. I’ve tried wearing nail polish to protect my nails but I find my skin is sensitive to most drug store nail polish. I try to keep creams everywhere so that when I’m not working I’ll remember to use them. I put on a simple cuticle oil before bed and use a hand cream. Do these nail hardeners have the same basic ingredients that nail polishes use? Would they be beneficial still in a wet environment or with frequent hand washing?

They may work for you but they deteriorated the ends tips of my nails like they were eating them up,terrible I have never had this happen with any other nail products,I returned them all. I read their reviews most were negative & said they a!so returned the products as they did not last on their nails, worst products I have ever used.Sally Hanson "PURE" line works excellent I have great results with PURE hardner& their beautiful new colors, they last long time &do not chip,Love them💅

Barielle is also a supreme brand for nail repair, thickener and hardness, ridge filling, and a cuticle cream. They have so many wonder products. I have been using their products since high school and I’m 50 now. ❤ Thank you for the recommendations for Dermalect also. They work great as well! I just subbed today and I’m loving your videos!! ♥️

Hello, I love your informative videos and I have discovered many great products. However, the dermalect product has not proven to be very effective. I went to the website to make sure I was applying it correctly. It started peeling off in 2 days. My nails began peeling and tearing just as they do when I have nothing on them. I'm going to try and apply the product again but so far it has not been helpful.

I'm a nail tech and when my nails need extra loving care, I use Dermelect. I've been using these for years and it really works! After 3weeks u can see the difference . Also "Rescue RX" by CND also works but with all of these u need to give it time to make a significant difference

Thanks again Dr. Locke for this informative video! I took biotin for years and did nothing for my hair or nails. I started taking collagen supplements a year ago, based on your video, and have seen dramatic improvement in my nails and my hair and my skin. I also use Nutrafol which is marketed for hair but I've noticed an improvement in my nails as well. One more thing, I have been putting jojoba oil on my nails after I wash my hands or get them in water and it has helped tremendously.

I'm 75. I have had weak, peeling, chipping nails my entire life. Nothing has ever helped. I finally found something that works. It's called Hard as Hoof. Comes in a little jar....it's sort of a cream that you just massage into the nails. I have tried a LOT of products....this is what works for me.

The most effective treatment I have found for dry and peeling nails is really inexpensive and available on Amazon and other places. It is called healthy hoof and it is white cream. I rub it in each morning and before I go to bed and my nails have totally recovered, and are strong again.

How often should we use these products? Do we need to use polish remover to take it off? Won’t that damage the nails and cuticles? After we take it off and nails are bare, should we put it right back on?

hard when your job requires " foam -IN" and "Foam-Out" for 8 hours. Foam, sani-wipes all disolve any nail polish. Gloves dry hands out and washing with foam and water is the same. Q.) What polish that is not salon gel is indestructable without having to be drilled off?
