I saw these guys live 2 nights ago and I'm still buzzing from it. If you ever get the chance to see them, take it. So many different styles, such energy, and I can't remember the last time was that live music nearly moved me to tears but Melt with You did it. My only regret was that they didn't introduce themselves and I have no idea who the vocalists were...
In a Manner of Speaking is such a wonderful song. Using words to express that the love they feel for another person is beyond words is a frustration so poetically written.
When I first heard these songs on a jazz radio stream I wasn't really sure if I liked it………but after a while got these bossa nova arrangements of almost all of my old favorite new wave songs from my youth, a very unique charm. Especially the way of singing/speaking in this “French girl style” makes it something very special.
After over listening the classics for 20+ years it is massively refreshing to hear the cool French new wave bossa nova sounds. I saved, subscribed, liked, and recommended! Thank you so much for your upload. You made me a NEWLY MINTED FAN of Nouvelle Vague! I will see them if they play live in USA, and buy the CD for massive stereo listening!
