Great stuff again Phil ,Liv and crew
Best farming video from Phil every week brilliant stuff mate
Something new, good one Phil 👍💪🏽
yes right probably right in that a a mower with out a conditioner may have been better for cutting the sunflowers.
As for the red clover this is my 2nd year with it and have noticed a big improvement. Spotted video last winter of a man in Limerick who always lets it go to seed before the 2nd cut and has been using the same field for a number of years as this allows the clover to re-generate.
It has really allowed the new clover to fill in the gaps
Phil for a guy who have only a lawn to keep harvesting I love seeing the real job being done.. Keep 'er Lit
Good stuff Phil
Great video farmer Phil
Should have mowed the sunflowers with the finger bar mower phil
Good call
Whole crop header
@@bumpkinrocks Even better!
Famer phil that's a very nice sunflowers you have there martinflaherty. ❤❤❤😅
Nice one Phil
That will be interesting, how many bales from sunflowers and how they turn out. Beans must be ready for harvesting
Always enjoy your videos fair play to ye now & good luck with everything ahead 👍👍👍
The mowing bar and the 35 would have been a rite job for the sun flowers
I know the feeling running across the road like you did to get into the red clover. I live on a busy highway and feel like I risk my life multiple times a day. Stay safe.
Good video Phil, always enjoy mowing 88K happy out.
Wouldn't stand behind the cattle after one of those sunflower bales bet Lee was disappointed you didn't chop them he could have used his new buckrake to pit them Wouldn't have taken too long😂 your red clover looks good
Id second the finger bar mower suggestion
Bed of the mower was flattening the stalk and the angle of the blade made bits of it all
U could rake de sunflowers up to make a bale and see what happens
Common on the t3 6400 series for those panel brackets to break. Plastic weld only job. Mowed and baled maize like that before as it had to be cleared for a housing development. Cattle loved it
When will u be showing the new tractor ye got ?
What did he get????? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
I wonder if uou could cut it with a SP harvester with a maize header.
Pigs go yum yum with docs 😁best thing about the videos is we can go back and see about the clover, what you did and how it went👍🏻
Cool
You could try a mower without a condition̈er and rake it for baling 😊
Can't remember why you grew sunflowers in the first place.
What's the point of sunflowers, an acre wasted on 2 bales I think?
Sunflower patch was its main purpose. Making bales is just secondary
God help your poor baler on those stalks
Think sunflower silage will be expensive shite no harm in trying something new
Its desiccate, not decimate.
He decimated the sunflowers through that mower! 🤣
Skip to 10.30 for sunflower content
☝️
Do you sow WOSR Phil
No never have
Was wondering wath u do with flowers try tell
We used them for a sunflower trail
🇮🇪🇮🇪👍👍👌👌💪💪🙏🙏
Great video Phil. Enjoyed watching. 👍🏼👍🏼
Phil in the red clover crop they say your meant to cut very hight like 4 inch to maintain a good crown base and don't rake as this upsets the steemy base 🤷🏽♂️
A maize header on the Jaguar would be better suited because it's a tall stalky crop like maize. Looks like you obliterated the crop through the mower to me. An interesting way of doing it but I doubt you will get a good yield but I could be wrong?
We didn’t think there’d be enough to justify making a clamp and taking up concrete space
Great video phil, be interesting to know how much of the sunflower you can feed your cattle.
Hope u can keep the vermin out of the sunflower bales.
Farmer Phil Stewart why did set sunflowers in the 1st place
Sunflower patch for the farm shop
Sunflowers silage well you just need to use preservative on it we silage them out in Kansas as always enjoy your videos
Just aswell your not stuck for them bales of sunflowers 😂😂😂. When are we going to see the new tractor you bought?
👌
Hi Phil, stay away from the sunflowers, nothing but headaches
When going into the clover Phil, stop on the road beside the gate and when the coast is clear maneuver into the field. No surprises for anyone.
Phil, someone had to make the first pit of silage. The sunflowers will be an excellent education. Either for or against. At least now you know what to expect. Fair play
To be fair wouldnt go too bad if you could plant it or harvest it along with the maize and mix the sunflowers in with that
Can the conditioners be turned off on them mowers, people are wising up to energy or sugar loss due to conditioner mowers
Yes but I can’t see the crop flowing through the mower with the conditioner turned off
@FARMERPHIL3690 one to try 😅
Wasted 12 min talking
It was probably in Kansas where sunflower silage gets used. Lots of sunflowers as well as beef cattle feedlots there.
Hi farmer Phil that was a great job with your sliage keep up the good work with it 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Cool video
