If I had to listen to my father continue to complain about my life choices even after he died and I had secluded myself from civilization on a deserted island, I'd have a pretty strong motivation to force delete myself as well.
Or he could smoke death sticks to deaden his connection to the force so he can’t hear/see force ghosts anymore.

I was gonna say "You can always cut yourself off from the Force like the Exile did in KoTOR2" but I'm not sure if that would really work. Though I don't think we've had a case where a non-Force user talked with a Force ghost...
Anakins ghost never shows up in the sequels because he was embarrassed his son was a whiny bitch.
Which is ironic because Anakin was also a whiny bitch before being put in the suit.
@@ChestRockwell24 bro he was pretty much burning to death and he probably wanted to die every second after burning inside the suit too

thats not what happened in the movie 😭
@@zacktaylor8178 Totally is.
@@doncoyote68 i understand the frustration or the dislike for the movie, but it genuinely makes the arguments against it more shallow when the movie actually literally informs you that this was not how it went down. even this video knows that and pokes fun at Luke for worrying so much about having an instinctual reaction, not an intent to kill. you can poke valid holes in other parts but im so tired of seeing people just outright ignore the movie to pretend this is true
actual Luke: *"my dad is evil, but he can be redeemed. i will not let my emotion get the best of me."*
*"-Until he mentions my sister, in which case I will momentarily lose control of my emotions and absolutely destroy him."*
Imagine Rey just silently watching this whole conversation after just getting there to bring Luke the lightsaber
Even better, if she doesn't even see Anakin's force ghost. Just the strange old man she handed the lightsaber to just tossing it and then having a conversation with some dad in his head
that's why she is with her moouth open and that expression "what crazyness is this?"
That explains why her mouth stayed open for the whole trilogy! In a deleted and unseen scene Luke looks like he’s talking to an imaginary dad he made up because he has some daddy issues on account of all the lies and his father’s legendary status in the category of child murder. Guess she was shocked to see such a legendary jedi and grandmaster full of hope in such a sad state
Even better, she never talked again and look trained someone deserving.
Now we need one with Obi-Wan's reaction: "What is it with Skywalkers and lightsabers, always breaking them, losing them, tossing them, so irresponsible! Do you know how difficult kyber crystals are to come by?"
Yeah I can answer that, as a legally certified member of the Skywalker family, yeah uh I don't know. Hope that helps!
good point, the first order basically robbed everyone of kyber crystals with ilum being turned into skiller base

It's a good point. And Luke legitimately was so enraged at his father threatening Leia, he actually would have killed him if he didn't calm himself down. Luke, the guy with more hope than anyone, the guy who helped Anakin redeem himself when Obi Wan and Yoda thought it was impossible, should have been the last guy to give up.
Force Ghost interventions are my new favorite way to critique the sequels.
A lot of people don't realize that Anakin was quite the war-criminal in his day.
Almost all of the Jedi are war criminals, so hating on Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars Legends material and the Prequels is just foolish because the only Jedi that aren’t war criminals are the Grey Jedi that Disney and Fox Entertainment refuses to make in films/tv series.
@@RoronoaZoro-ur6hr Grey Jedi are lame lol. They're just literally Jedi who abide by the will of the force instead of by the will of the council or the Republic, like Qui Gon (I.E. how the Jedi SHOULD behave, but don't.). In other words, they aren't restrained by some government and are free to mediate/settle disputes across the galaxy as they see fit. Problem is though, that also means they're more prone to temptation to the dark side. So yeah, maybe they aren't war criminals, but they still have plenty of opportunities to be scummy people if given the chance.
@@therebelofchaos1674 kidnapping force sensitive dont make the jedi scummy?
@@Cyborg647 Bruh that's a whole ass other sentence/argument. Where did I say they weren't scummy for kidnapping force sensitive people/kids? Quit cherry picking. If you're gonna come in here and troll/argue with me, at least read and understand what I'm trying to say. The point was about Grey Jedi. I was saying that while it's nice that they aren't bound by some strict code and more serve the Force, because there's always that temptation to call on the Dark Side, they're arguably just as bad as the Jedi.
I think everybody realizes that

That would have fit perfectly in this vid. What a missed opportunity.
Every Star Wars video you make enhances the sequel series immeasurably. Please make more of these.
This is even better than the sequals
You mean fixes, yea?
Makes them more palatable.
Just don't fucking watch the movies if you don't like them. The circle jerk is getting old.
This really brings up some interesting plot holes. It feels like the writers of the new sequels didn't really study the previous movies in developing the story.
They didn't. They didn't care.
The newest generation of sequels or "new interpretations" of media is usually done by people who hate the original. That's why they suck so bad.

If anything Luke throwing away the saber that his father used to murder children makes it MORE appropriate, considering he closed himself off from the force after almost making a similar mistake.
0:55 a fun family tradition 🤣
No wonder Luke never had kids of his own! 😂
Luke received a hand-me-down and tossed it away. Now we know why. 🦾

I absolutely love the dramatic zoom on Rey whenever she’s on screen
"Listen here, young man" 23-year-old Anakin said to his 56-year-old son. Lol
At the end, when Luke retrieves the lightsaber his expression is just like a teenager grudgingly complying with their parent XD I do realize that's the resting face for this animation style but still. And he doesn't even turn around he just sticks his hand up!
Anakin actually being a dad.
Imagine Rey not hearing Anakin, just Luke rambling to himself
Anakin: Don’t sass me boy! You ain’t to old for me to give you a spankin’!
You really nailed Daisy Ridley's mouth-breathing. 10/10
Alternate title: Anakin is a father to Luke for Two Minutes and Thirty Seconds

I like how just like in the movie, Rey is an emotionless blob of a character that just stares at things with her mouth open all the time. Really nailed it.
god I hate her face
"You listen here young man, you go out there and find that saber that you threw away, then you' apologize to me, and then you'll apologize to her."
"Dad."
"No, Yes Sir."
*Sighs* "Yes sir"
I think we've all heard our father say this at some point.
Would have shown that Anakin was a good dad even in death
Anakin: Oh, you're upset because you tried to kill ONE child...I've killed people, the Jedi killed people, and I've especially killed children. Like, a lot of children. Women too. Slaughtered them like animals.
Luke: what the heck dad!? 😧
Mace: you see sky Walker this is why you're not ranked master
This was the moment Jake Skywalker became Luke
This why we needed Anakin in the sequels. 🤣
It should've been and they shouldn't have been handled by Disney George Lucas Sequel Trilogy would've been a whole lot more enjoyable and better than Disney's crappy versions
I love how you can still very clearly tell that it’s Matthew for all the characters he plays like even though it’s animated, you can clearly see his face
This short film is 1000 times better than the last crap load of a trilogy. I'd watch a trilogy of full length features of this.
If Disney actually knew what they were doing, we'd have gotten ghost Anakin, and Luke would be the Grand Master we've seen in Mandalorian/BoBF. He should be nearly as powerful as Yoda at this point.
Honestly, they should have started with the D+ shows and worked their way up to the Sequel Trilogy. They were so desperate to get the original trio back on the big screen.
@@nahor88 But they weren't. The trio were never on screen together, Disney was just eager to push them out and put in their own ideas.
"ugh Dad.."
"no.. Yes Sir."
Love this! This is great! ❤
I mean , how is a 2 minute animation better than entire movie with the Disney bank roll behind it
because it had thoughtful writing that matched characters actual reactions (after the splice into DisneyWars 2)
I loved how grounded it was and felt like a real dad to son talk :D
The guy who plays Anakin is amazing it’s blast watching whenever he’s involved
Honestly, it would've been kind of cool to see his force ghost talk to Luke during his lowest moment.
Ray: holds the lightsaber out to Luke.
Luke: yyyeah, I already have one... say, you didn't happen to find like.. a hand with that thing did you? Or maybe a ring?
Better than what Disney made.
It's literally a crime we couldn't see any father-son moments with Hayden Christensen and Mark Hamill.
I've always wanted to them on screen together and both as their Star Wars characters
Setting up anakin as a force ghost and then not using him in the sequel trilogy should have been classified as a war crime.
Really shows how they totally decimated Luke's character in the sequels... Edit: Btw this comment section really shows how the sequels split the star wars fan base.
I mean it is a comedy skit. It simplifies some things for humor.
Luke isolating himself was not just for almost killing his nephew but the fact that it resulted in Ben destroying the temple and running off, meaning he blamed himself for him becoming Kylo Ren.
@@DenderFriend Oh it's a comedy skit?
Thanks for letting us all know... 🙄
You guys do realize you said the same thing about Anakin's character that you now love, right? Just wait until Dave Filoni releases the Clone Wars equivalent of the sequel era, you would be all like "it was good all along I always loved it" (or at least the next generation will, since that's what most prequel fans are... I still remember how 10 years ago the previous one shat all over them)
"They totally decimated Samurai Jack, King Arthur and Wolverine in Logan (whose writer loves The Last Jedi, go figure) also they ruined Yoda in the prequels by giving him a lightsaber and making him more aggressive, also Uncle Iroh should have redeemed Azula because old characters aren't allowed to have mental limits"

It still blows my mind that he actually threw the lightsaber in the movie. Even if the rest of the film had been amazing, it STILL would have been a terrible scene. It wasn’t funny or clever. But it did give me a ton of whiplash.
The whole sequel trilogy collapsed when they decided to let leia float through space and make finn not the main character even though he was infinitely more interesting and had infinitely better character development than the random hobo sand girl

I’m willing to even be open to the idea of a better written Rey, but the trailers had me rootin for the stormtrooper Jedi and I have been disappointed greatly in the end result
Dude I was piss off that they destroyed that lightsaber. That lightsaber design is the skywalker family lightsaber.
Ah yes, Luke would never throw away his saber in a form of rejection... wait
If anything it makes more sense here since in RotJ he threw away a saber that was still green, still a Jedi weapon, while rejecting the dark side. While here (like it or not) it was the Jedi way that he rejected, hence making rejecting a Jedi weapon more appropriate.
