My favorite build you’ve done to date inside. The kitchen is fabulous and I love all the extra touches like the black and white tile in the laundry and the consistency with the colors. The counter tops throughout….. it’s just super. Love the small accents with the wallpaper. It’s absolutely wonderful. They really did a fantastic job having this one drawn up like they did. The wall of cabinets is a wonderful touch going into the guest quarters. The shining jewel is that island!!! Goodness I’m drooling.

Beautiful home! Only change would be in the laundry room. Put the sink under the window ( like in the kitchen) and move the washer and dryer to the wall. Raise the washer and dryer on pedestals or platforms for easier loading for taller or older people. Not so much bending over that way! Could build storage space around the washer and dryer.
If I have to sit in front of a sink, a want a window, too. I always want a drainboard for the laundry sink. You need a place to set wet clothes, dogs, plants, etc.

@@TexasBestBarndominium How can I get a build like this in Mississippi please ? This is a wonderful build thinking forward for wheelchair accessibility. I would like to see a walk in/wheel in Pantry Space in mine as well as a Shower area that a wheelchair could roll into should it become necessary later in life…saves having to remodel down the road & also helpful if taking care of elderly parents as well. This is a Beautiful Build. I do like your fireplace & hearths better in some of your other builds. Hopefully we could make a few changes to pull in different design ideas I have or that I have seen in some of your other builds. I love your work. Very Nice ❤😊

Love the barndominiums and I'm currently designing one. I added a back kitchen where the small appliances are out of sight with a huge pantry for tidy look of kitchen. Lots of drop zones for organization, cabinets everywhere, very large laundry room with lots of storage space for cleaning equipment. A must in bathrooms are John rooms , toilets sitting in sight are awful and spoil the look of a bathroom. I love the modified farmhouse style barndominiums. You build great barndominiums and I'm glad I found your channel.
Agreed, a water closet is a must in new homes. Hate when i want to use the bathroom to shower or brush my teeth/get ready and my gf is on the toilet, going in there just feels like an invasion of privacy
By far yall's best one yet! Seriously. This build is going to take yall into the future with new clients. This beach style look is the way to go. I was a "never barndominium" person. Barn doors with dark woods everywhere just look cheap to me (even though I know it's not). Now, yall have me convinced. This is beautiful and feels like home. My husband and I would love something like this one day!

Love to see a really old fireplace with cooking area and inglenook. Prefer a detached garage with connecting covered walkway. Like dishwasher and microwave in the pantry...

Brandi...I adore how you brought the personalized vase and flowers into the room on the mantel ,.that beautiful huge kitchen counter..and then by the sink...Josh you definitely explained so many wonder features of this build but my favorite would be the all wood flooring ...the drawback for me on these homes has been the cement floor...this home with the wood..raised will be much nicer to stand on... especially in that fabulous kitchen... lovely living space..and the whole design shows the extra touches that where added... Stunning...laundry room and office fabulous...crisp clean and very spacious...
See if you can't talk the owners into a finished video with their furniture...😉..Thanks for sharing

Wow! My husband and I are 60. Our "kids" are grown, and we've been looking at barndominium floor plans that would fit us and the way we live for the rest of our lives. This one is perfect--all on one level. It's absolutely gorgeous and a smart floor plan. I would take the "office" for my sewing room. We'd eliminate the storage above the garage to accommodate our 5th-wheel. Do you build outside of Texas?

Are there any major benefits to these builds compared to a traditional house build. Cheaper? Are the structures more durable than a regular house?

I’ve done little research and don’t want to speak out of hand but I believe it is cheaper to build and since it’s made from metal, it’s way less upkeep bc the the roof wont rot and siding keeps up longer. They also tend to be more open concept
You can owe on a house for 35 years and pay more than your house is worth in interest. Or live in a cheap apartment save up for one of these and a small piece of land in 3 to 4 years and pay it off and live

Absolutely beautiful home! It's not necessarily my style (I prefer more contrast and modern finishes) but I love the overall design and layout. This would be a perfect multi-generational family home, plenty of separate spaces but also has a grand common area for gathering. Well done!

Absolutely beautiful the exterior and the classic modern element of finishes lots of white which is crisp clean and classic one of the most beautiful interior and exterior choices so many are so dark and the interior choices well not my taste.
I love this barndominium it’s beautiful, I love the black and white tiles and could really enjoy living here.

Beautiful home. Excluding all the associated land costs I'm estimating this to be $495,000. ((3300sqft x $150sqft (material + labor) = $495,000)) or (($495,000 = 30yr fixed at 5% interest + (10% down - $49,500) + State (Texas) + Credit Score (700) + Property tax ($6,188) + Home Insurance ($1,733) is roughly $3,256 monthly)) Following the 28% rule this would mean a family should make $140,000 annually.
Where did the 28% rule come from?

Love the plan, but obviously built for tall people.
Yes I would like to know how much the utilities will be with the ceiling being so high
Utilities will be no difference because of a high ceiling. Building for air tightness means no loss of heated and cooled air. Just have to keep the air flowing is all to prevent stale air.
Nice house. So many windows not good for hurricanes or tornadoes. Would there be anyway to build a barndominium off the ground?
