That is a very good proposal. Thank you. The Lewitt seduces me a lot, I find faithful, precise and concise. A great clarity. I like this sound because the microphone is forgotten.
sE V7X (0:08), SM58 (1:14), AKG D5 (2:21), MTP550 (3:29). I like sE V7X and SM58 more. Looks like you picked out the best sounding dynamic mics, all of them really good. Thank you for this comparison.
Please, Sir, what results are obtained when these microphones are placed 30 or 50 centimetres from the mouth, do you know it? I am very curious to know their abilities when they are placed outside the framing of a face, framing the face when taking a video.
Hi, im an audio noob. Does the lewitt require phantom power or can it be used with one of those xlr/usb cables? I've been looking for a mic since my headset mic stopped working and thought the mtp 550 dm both sounded great and looked good. I wouldn't be using it for any more than talking to friends on games and on discord.
It doesn't require phantom power - but like most dynamic mics it has a low output. Depending on what you plug it into, you may well need some kind of preamp to raise the signal. For this purpose you might use an in line preamp or even a small mixer. An in line preamp is likely to use phantom power.
No reason you cannot sound your best, even if you're just talking to your friends. But... get an interface. A good interface is not only going to let you use dynamic microphones properly, but generally speaking they're going to have much better output sound quality than your PC's onboard DAC as well. Allowing you to hear game audio better and clearer, while letting you use these mics too.

Glad it was helpful! I think it's pretty good myself.
how was it? I’m being lured too. I got Se V7x & Sen e935 already though.

I'd use condenser mics for that purpose. Stage dynamics are often a bit thin when addressed from a distance.
At those distances they're all equally quiet. Not a good choice.

@@GavinAtkin thanks for the hasty response.
