Is anyone else alarmed by the amount of merchandise/sponsorships Welcome Home got? Even if it's not really related to the story, that's a LOT of Capitalism for a Puppet show.
Something just feels so sad about Frank being so concerned over Eddie's wellbeing that he drops the formality. Like, that's how you know it's all gone to hell.
Gonna put my two sense in: Frank going from “Mr. Dear" to "Eddie" SCREAMS of a closeted gay relationship. Like, he calls him "Mr. Dear" in public so people don't think they're too close, but the minute he sees that Eddie's distressed, his worried husband instincts kick in and the mask slips just enough to try to snap Eddie out of it. But you also can tell he's still trying to keep the front up because he's almost whispering Eddie's name.

indeed. it's so easy to get sucked into the whimsical world of welcome home that you kinda forget about the darker underbelly (and even if you don't actually forget about it,you still get caught off guard a bit when it pops up again). i swear to god there is likely an entire sub-class of welcome home fans that are ONLY in it for the show itself and are the fun puppet stuff without wanting anything to do with the actual horror aspects.XD
Has anyone else found it strange that a children's show was advertising cigarettes and sleeping pills? I know this was the 70's, and the Flintstones advertsed cigs too, but at the time, i think the show was geared for everyone, not just kids.
No, sponsorships and product placements are/were normal back then. There was no Patreon in the 70s, and even UA-camrs today sell merch from their affiliate links. The Puppeteers and Animators still need to eat and pay bills you know.

poor Eddie. it must be rough to exist only to deliver mails. he doesn't even get his own commercials like the others. I wonder if they all self destruct when they can't do their main thing. Eddie can't deliver any mails, Walley can't make new friends, Howdy has no wares to sell, and so on.
What's interesting about Eddie in this is that he remembers. Eddie is supposed to be someone that forgets things, but when he had his presents prepared, he informs that no one called. Why does he know people would call him about delivery, if he forgets?

@@DreamDragoness25 For the longest time, I hypothesized Eddie was a Human War Veteran (Vietnam War was happening since 1955, he has the physique of a marine being all bulky and working with his hands as a postman, which is a government job). A lot of his qualities happened to match up. I still think so, but it doesn't seem as likely due to what triggered his panic attack, and what he focused on. He specifically has Christmas Trauma: he was more than comfortable to go in costume for Halloween, but insisted to Poppy that he ought to stay for work on Christmas. When he finally sits down and freaks out, he's staring at the gravy ornament and the Pea on his plate - so, something food-related has him on edge. The curious piece to note however, were the giant Toys surrounding him in those momentary visions. It'll make sense if you found awayfrompryingeyes. Net When I read the lyrics to Toyland, it's a double meaning of leaving one's Childhood, "once you cross the Border, you can never return." I am starting to think Eddie (and possibly others) are people in the form of Toys trapped in some ToyBox Dimension. The heightened senses during his anxiety episode allowed Eddie to see past the illusion for a moment.
17:30 the commericals and other parts of the special bleeding in. And Eddie is in two worlds. The animated and the puppet. He needs to go home but can't because he's in both. His hands are puppet but his face isn't.
A lot of people seem to be misunderstanding the actions of the neighbors. Yes they could have checked in on Eddie more, but they didn't intend to neglect him. Eddie was interacting with people early in the day, as we saw with his interaction with Poppy. They also wanted to give Eddie a day off while they were in tern busy. It was miscommunication, everyone cares about Eddie. Delivering their own mail was a big under taking, and one that required if nothing else, a lot of logistics on everyones behalf. On a different note. "Who ever heard someone getting recognition for nothing? No one! At least I don't think so any way." That line, just broke my hart.
im am really impresse by the analog horror of this ARG. no screaming. no blood, no MOTHERFUCKING JUMPSCARE. i am proud if the analog horror genre evolve from his clichée to something far more complex.
Honestly, they perfectly handled what overstimulation and a panic attack can feel like and look like to a person. Eddie clearly has bad anxiety and the part where he sounds like he's struggling to speak because his throat is closed off and he's struggling to breathe hits so close to home.
Not for no reason, but to rest. He can't sleep, but he can rest. It seems that he takes them to stop mind-racing, which is pretty common in autistic people, but also he may get anxious at night.
At 21:58, Eddie struggles to whisper the words. "I need to go Home." He really is in a terrible place in his mind, and can't cope with the others around him. Alternatively, he could be saying, "I never go Home," which might answer partially why His panic attack set in when he was at the HomeWarming Party - He must have suffered a traumatic event during this holiday in the past, something to do with isolation. (I played this at full blast on repeat, he really says. "I never go Home.") I just guessed in an earlier comment that he must be an extreme workaholic, but he joined the Halloween party in costume with zero issue, so that can't be it.
Or maybe he could be saying, " I gotta go home" but I also noticed the background noise sounds like fire, and the whole time Eddie is having an anxiety attack, the place a round him turn a red hue. Maybe there was a fire at a homewarming party, but it also seems like home was involved in some way because of how many times Eddie seems to focus on him. Poor Eddie must have started to panic when he found out there was nothing to keep his mind away from his past incident, which then lead to a panic attack.
and remember that eddie never told anyone where he's from: he says a lot of different places so he either can't remember or is pulling a joker and would rather his past be multiple choice.
@@rebekaharteaga368 while yes, it could be white noise, but I also believe it could also be a trick.White noise is very popular in horror rpc and series. but the way the sound is used along with visuals feels very intentional. ( edit/ we don't see a tv in the room even)
This is proof that the puppets are alive, when Eddie’s purpose in the episode is done he’s put away, we never see him in a house because he doesn’t have one because he doesn’t need one in the story, and he doesn’t stop working because he needs too or else he doesn’t really have much else to do, and when he no longer has a purpose in said story he’s put away until the next episode. he knows this, he’s fully conscious in that fact at least here he is. And all the others might figure this out too.

22:06 The transition felt so jarring in the best way possible. Eddie is clearly dissociating, seeing or feeling something he shouldn't have. Frank drops his formality and seems genuinely worried for him - then the commercial hits you with "HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!". I love it.
It was pretty jarring seeing poor Eddie having a horrible panic attack in what otherwise looks like a heartwarming children’s show, and the ad with Santa eating in the background was really disturbing to me even though it wasn’t explicitly a horror part. I’m pretty curious about the in universe reason the people behind the ad thought it was a good idea to put those horrible eating noises in the background. Given that it managed to give me the creeps even as an adult, I can’t imagine how off putting and confusing it would be for a kid watching and listening to this.
I honestly wondered why they had Santa eating noises added there. I heard people saying that Santa could be one of those creatures Sally mentioned in the Halloween audiobook that walks durning the night.

I just realized, Eddie poured Gravy on an Ornament in [Eddie Ep1] which he notices drip during his panic attack; and he spends an abnormal amount of time staring at his singular pea on his plate... Did Eddie suffer starvation during the Winter before? Could this explain why he "never goes home?" Doing so would mean sitting around with nothing to eat, so he REALLY NEEDS to work during Homewarming, he feels like a failure otherwise and can't eat unearned food.
One person said that the single pea on a plate is actually Eddie inside the black abyss. Just like the pea, Eddie has nowhere else to go, it's only him and whoever's there with him.

Ok- Eddie is literally like a son to me, so seeing how he’s just kinda alone in his post office, the other neighbours not even bothering to check up on him and eventually ending up with him have a (sorta) breakdown, and seeing him panicking at the party, ALL ON A LITERAL HOLIDAY actually broke my heart😭😭😭
I think it really is interesting that for these segments it’s mainly voice work and not the actual puppets. It makes me wonder how much is due to the narrative versus constraints on the cast and clown to make it work with what they have
@@xionelectra I want to guess more will be in the works soon. Clown does a lot of mixed media and sculpture projects. Still it does seem like a tall order. Puppets made for each character, all with their quirks and qualities mentioned in bio. Poppy, being a big bird esque puppet, seems especially difficult to produce. There's also that matter of getting a team of puppeteers to handle each character. I have no doubt that Clown COULD do it. It just seems like an overwhelming task (least to someone who lacks any puppet production prowess)
I think that Eddie is having a prophetic vision. First, notice how before his episode starts he hears the other commercials and his costars segments. Then his reality shifts almost like a dream world or altered state. Then, he sees the gravy dripping from the ornament. This action was performed by Eddie at what I assume to be Poppy’s house (in the first Eddie cutaway) this scene takes place in Wally’s house, Home. This implies to me that he is either viewing through time and or space. I believe the next visions he sees are symbols of what’s to come and what really might be occurring within Home. I believe that Home is malignant or hungry and they will lose all track of their selves and surroundings trying to defend themselves from Home’s appetite. 17:00 I believe since Eddie is relaxed, content, and happy, he is able to move in and out of a trance/altered state
I notice how the plate has an inner and outer ring/border. That could represent the idea that their reality is an isolated area and Eddie feels trapped within it, and that there might be more outside of it.
This update was SO interesting. I think my favorite part aside from everything else we got was the moments with Eddie. Everything building up to the larger negative and how dark everything is getting is just so freaking interesting.❤❤❤

Because in reality the tree of knowledge was set on the Garden to see how obedient were the first human couple. But because of their disobedience and because there was an evil entity behind Adam and Eve eating of that forbidden fruit, that’s why in video games it has become a thing. To associate the unknown and the knowledge of both good and bad as an apple.
In addition to being a reference to the Bible, the apple can also represent purity and a rotten apple can represent its destruction. And practically the apple is present in all important events in history (The legend of Isaac Newton, for example)

RIGHT there’s such a heavy emphasis on food and eating. I was disturbed when I saw eddies hands because they look kinda grotesque… that coupled with the sheer amount of food and how it’s presented and eaten (Barnaby’s CONSISTENTLY wild hotdogs, The food in the tree, Santa scarfing down what I’d hope to be food) it’s intense and very intentional. That juxtaposed with a single pea on a plate, I can’t help but wonder if there’s a symbolic or literal emptiness these characters feel and deal with (literally being puppets, and also feelings of purposelessness and emptiness and isolation)
@@xionelectra RIGHT!! I also think it signifies the passage of time for them. Many fictional characters don’t age and sometimes don’t grow old. The food might show how long they’ve been in Home, some of it has gone bad due to never changing it, and they’re holiday of home warming it unnatural. It takes heavy inspiration from Christmas but it’s not the holidays itself it’s what they do to the food in this holiday. It’s only until Eddie realizes how odd the food choices are he starts to think, then thinking turns to fear, fear turns to panic. He’s scared and Homes keeping him quiet
It is as if home saw how Eddie was coming to the realization that they are just props. The single p on a plate could represent how insignificant they are, or it could be a representation of how Papi was not at the party. I very much enjoy how interpretive the last scene is. It also looked as though the home was shining its eyes on the toys, as what else could have been causing that shadow to move around.

I think the puppets are slowly gaining self awareness over the course of flashbacks, that’s why Eddie keeps shifting from cartoon to real, he’s confused about what he really is and where they are and the switch of different media symbolizes a breaking in his reality. Im not sure what the cause of this but I think what you said about Home ‘punishing’ them for not doing jobs is a good theory. I totally suggest checking out the subreddit there’s some great analysis there
@@thiskid990 that kinda goes with a theory I have that the neighbors are tulpas. They gained their own existence outside the show due to how connected their audience was to them. But since the show was forgotten, they sort of ended up probably "dying" and Wally (and possibly home) is the only one left and is trying to reach out to us.

So do you think Wally is malicious or just misunderstood? Ive seen more people leaning towards the latter. @@thiskid990 I personally think Wally's innocent and is just being controlled. There's a possibility that Home is being controlled too and is just the main vessel for whatever this dark entity is. This is mostly going off of UA-camr Night Mind's theory, but it could be that entity that's running around the neighborhood at night that Sally spoke of in her scary story. Given this theory, yeah I feel like Home could just as easily be a tulpa, since it's technically a neighbor too and came from the same imaginative source as everything else in the show. I'm guessing either that or Home is actually the source of everything that's going wrong with the neighborhood and the show. I'm seeing a bit of an underlying theme of "house vs home," and how a seemingly cheery, happy place to be can actually have something toxic going on beneath the surface, the kind of thing that makes you feel unsafe in your own home.
It's also possible, since the show's creator stated that the themes of ableism are central to the project, that Eddie might just be having a panic attack, and everything being muffled, the heartbeat noise, everything seeming hot and melting, and Home's eyes staring down at him, contribute to Eddie feeling unsafe and scared. He spent the whole day anxious and worried that maybe his friends forgot about him, or don't need his help with the mail, and if he can't be the mailman, does he belong? We don't have enough information yet to determine if Home or Wally are malignant entities, or if something is being done TO Eddie, or if the entire "horror" segment is just all in Eddie's head.
This feels like they’re purposely cutting Eddie out of the show due to him being queer and the relationship between him and Frank is more obvious and closeted. It’s also pushing Julie and Frank more. Have you guys noticed in this update they keep pushing Julie and frank but avoid frank and Eddie being in the same content now? Just like how America is now, it was worse back then with capitalism. If parents complained over queer content…characters were scrapped. :(
I think it was mostly showing Eddie suddenly regaining consciousness and memories but cut when the puppeteer aka Home takes control of him and brings him back into character and I have a theory that Wally or Home are the directors, Sally might've been a producer/puppeteer just like the rest of the cast who supposedly "disappear" and were doomed to live as the characters as some kind of Purgatory

Idk but I feel like Eddie might have like a physical aggressive breakdown. Bc ofc Eddie was NOT happy. Even though he later on gets included in the festivities, there’s still some pent up anger. Like yes thank you for doing all the deliveries but they could have told him that vs ghosting him. And he goes to the party and all he gets is a sing pea on a plate. All of his hard work and all he gets is a single pea on a plate (keep in mind all the other audios is the bug update where they blew Eddie off multiple times). At around 19:50 , I was confused at first like “why is there a red screen?”, but I think that’s Eddie is “seeing red” (being “emotionally stirred up with anger”) . Then it shows Eddie with some expression I can’t read and it then shows what I can make out as some baseball bats. Eddie can’t truly express himself bc all eyes are on him. Home is watching, the plate with the single pea is identical to an eye, plus the people are the party would stare to. Eddie cannot be himself even when he’s at Home.
I find it so strange because food really does exist in this universe, but it seems they use it more for decoration than sustenance. The only problem with that is that after the very least Barnaby Wally and Frank eat real food, so why wouldn’t Sally?

Do you remember the bug video from the old website where Sally is shopping for food at Howdy's? How they talk about weird food like sponges for bread, ect? They're all actually used in food commercials/advertising instead of real food as it would get ruined by the hot lights and overtime. Even in the latest ad for the new pins Barnaby complains about the glitter in his cereal (Which would definately be used as 'sugar crystals' for a commercial shoot)

12:03 hmm, these ads might be out of order, but some of these commercials look rough & unfinished. Like this one isn’t even animated, it’s like a rough animatic with the pencil scratches. I think over time the studio was losing funding, but they had to keep trying with these products/commercial deals to keep the lights on, but just barely. And the quality of these later ads shows that grim reality…

It's Just so interesting that what happens in he update (the homewarming book audio and special, Wally's Phone call, the ode to hibernation, the merch and the Howdy's family reunion) happens all in th same Day and the at the end it all comes together. So in chronological order it goes a little like this: 1-Bug-a-bye and Goddnight, an ode to hibernation 2-Homewarming storybook 3-Eddie's intermitions at the same time (he doesn’t show up any time in the storybook) 4-Howdy's Hollyday Hullabaloo (that's why he's not at the party) 5-The Homewarming Special Another fact it's that the Neightborhood update to what is happening in this stories. Howdy's shop has signs welcoming his family and celebrating Homewarming and Sally's house has a sign for Santa, when she says that you need to have awesome decorations to capt his atention. It's like the show happens in real time and for us to know deppending on the season, plus characters starts to becmeinggmlre aware now that People outside kown that they're in Home Poor Eddie :( I love him so much ❤❤

It's super uncool the rest of the cast of welcome home ghosted Eddie. They should have just told Eddie this I don't even see Eddie in the other commercials and animation's so I'm wondering if they treat Eddie like this outside of holidays
They all went to deliver gifts for him so he could have a day off. They told him as much! So it wasn't intentional ghosting, they just wanted him to relax The thing is, he doesn't really know how to relax. He doesn't take time off. He was having a panic attack over "not being useful" to everyone. It would have been better if they included him, but they didn't forget him at all

Dude I just met the voice actor for Eddie at a convention and he was so nice! I’m a little sad I didn’t get a voice clip from him but it was still really fun and makes me more sad for Eddie
Honestly, the fact that they have a cigarette commercial, it really helps keep it feel like its from the 70's! (Also poor Eddie, he's one of my favorite characters and it's sad seeing this happen to him-)
Something I haven’t seen anyone discuss is the fact that poppy isn’t there. In poppy’s description it says that for unknown reasons she wasn’t invited to Wally’s homewarming party, and in one of the last clips it says “finally, everyone was here”, but poppy isn’t there.

Holy shit. That was gut wrenching and legitimately disturbing. When the stuff with Eddie happened I felt like a vice gripped over my stomach. So I have 3 leading theories for what’s happening to Eddie. 1. Home is affecting him with its cauthlu like powers, maybe Home is upset with him, and is causing these affects on Eddie. 2. Eddie is begging to comprehend the reality around, notice how the shots switch between him being a puppet with live action settings, to then 2d art, and him looking into Home’s eye, as if Home is telling him and only him something, that he is just a puppet, a fictional character, being controlled by a person. 3. Eddie is being removed from the show, this is less likely, but in old concepts of the Welcome Home story there was supposed to be a puppet named Sunny that got removed from the show and all traces of him removed, but then he becomes a hero and tries to fix Home, what if due to dwindling popularity or controversy from his implied relationship with Frank Frankly, the show runners decides to remove him (I had a theory connecting to Happy Haunting and a Boo To Yours, that maybe the monsters Sally heard are the human cast members, and them “eating” neighbors, are actually them taking away and removing characters, that’s why she never mentions who these supposedly eaten neighbors are, because she can’t remember them, all she knows is that the neighborhood is much smaller then it used to be)

"The beginning of the end," I would say. I myself am trying to pinpoint what all happened in this update and which parts could be foreshadowing for the next time the website gets updated. Perhaps Eddie would start telling the others what he saw? I believe during the Halloween update is when things started getting set into place in terms of what is underneath the scenes. Back to Eddie seeing things from a different perspective, I believe that he might not appear in the next update.

A lot of people seem to be misunderstanding the actions of the neighbors. Yes they could have checked in on Eddie more, but they didn't intend to neglect him. Eddie was interacting with people early in the day, as we saw with his interaction with Poppy. They also wanted to give Eddie a day off while they were in tern busy. It was miscommunication, everyone cares about Eddie. Delivering their own mail was a big under taking, and one that required if nothing else, a lot of logistics on everyones behalf.

Honestly, they perfectly handled what overstimulation and a panic attack can feel like and look like to a person. Eddie clearly has bad anxiety and the part where he sounds like he's struggling to speak because his throat is closed off and he's struggling to breathe hits so close to home.

Alternatively, he could be saying, "I never go Home," which might answer partially why His panic attack set in when he was at the HomeWarming Party - He must have suffered a traumatic event during this holiday in the past, something to do with isolation.
(I played this at full blast on repeat, he really says. "I never go Home.")
I just guessed in an earlier comment that he must be an extreme workaholic, but he joined the Halloween party in costume with zero issue, so that can't be it.

This is proof that the puppets are alive, when Eddie’s purpose in the episode is done he’s put away, we never see him in a house because he doesn’t have one because he doesn’t need one in the story, and he doesn’t stop working because he needs too or else he doesn’t really have much else to do, and when he no longer has a purpose in said story he’s put away until the next episode. he knows this, he’s fully conscious in that fact at least here he is. And all the others might figure this out too.

It was pretty jarring seeing poor Eddie having a horrible panic attack in what otherwise looks like a heartwarming children’s show, and the ad with Santa eating in the background was really disturbing to me even though it wasn’t explicitly a horror part. I’m pretty curious about the in universe reason the people behind the ad thought it was a good idea to put those horrible eating noises in the background. Given that it managed to give me the creeps even as an adult, I can’t imagine how off putting and confusing it would be for a kid watching and listening to this.
I honestly wondered why they had Santa eating noises added there. I heard people saying that Santa could be one of those creatures Sally mentioned in the Halloween audiobook that walks durning the night.

Still it does seem like a tall order. Puppets made for each character, all with their quirks and qualities mentioned in bio. Poppy, being a big bird esque puppet, seems especially difficult to produce. There's also that matter of getting a team of puppeteers to handle each character. I have no doubt that Clown COULD do it. It just seems like an overwhelming task (least to someone who lacks any puppet production prowess)

First, notice how before his episode starts he hears the other commercials and his costars segments. Then his reality shifts almost like a dream world or altered state.
Then, he sees the gravy dripping from the ornament.
This action was performed by Eddie at what I assume to be Poppy’s house (in the first Eddie cutaway) this scene takes place in Wally’s house, Home. This implies to me that he is either viewing through time and or space.
I believe the next visions he sees are symbols of what’s to come and what really might be occurring within Home. I believe that Home is malignant or hungry and they will lose all track of their selves and surroundings trying to defend themselves from Home’s appetite.

I was disturbed when I saw eddies hands because they look kinda grotesque… that coupled with the sheer amount of food and how it’s presented and eaten (Barnaby’s CONSISTENTLY wild hotdogs, The food in the tree, Santa scarfing down what I’d hope to be food) it’s intense and very intentional. That juxtaposed with a single pea on a plate, I can’t help but wonder if there’s a symbolic or literal emptiness these characters feel and deal with (literally being puppets, and also feelings of purposelessness and emptiness and isolation)

The food might show how long they’ve been in Home, some of it has gone bad due to never changing it, and they’re holiday of home warming it unnatural. It takes heavy inspiration from Christmas but it’s not the holidays itself it’s what they do to the food in this holiday. It’s only until Eddie realizes how odd the food choices are he starts to think, then thinking turns to fear, fear turns to panic. He’s scared and Homes keeping him quiet

It is as if home saw how Eddie was coming to the realization that they are just props. The single p on a plate could represent how insignificant they are, or it could be a representation of how Papi was not at the party. I very much enjoy how interpretive the last scene is. It also looked as though the home was shining its eyes on the toys, as what else could have been causing that shadow to move around.

I think the puppets are slowly gaining self awareness over the course of flashbacks, that’s why Eddie keeps shifting from cartoon to real, he’s confused about what he really is and where they are and the switch of different media symbolizes a breaking in his reality. Im not sure what the cause of this but I think what you said about Home ‘punishing’ them for not doing jobs is a good theory. I totally suggest checking out the subreddit there’s some great analysis there
@@thiskid990 that kinda goes with a theory I have that the neighbors are tulpas. They gained their own existence outside the show due to how connected their audience was to them. But since the show was forgotten, they sort of ended up probably "dying" and Wally (and possibly home) is the only one left and is trying to reach out to us.
@@harlowitter3060 That’s pretty interesting. I like this more than the show runners causing them to be conscious, it makes more sense why Wally is so adamant to ‘speak’ with us on the website. So do you think Wally is malicious or just misunderstood? Ive seen more people leaning towards the latter. Personally I don’t think he’s malicious either but due to the virus/mold/whatever aspect of the story I do think his presence is harmful without him even realizing it. @@thiskid990 I personally think Wally's innocent and is just being controlled. There's a possibility that Home is being controlled too and is just the main vessel for whatever this dark entity is. This is mostly going off of UA-camr Night Mind's theory, but it could be that entity that's running around the neighborhood at night that Sally spoke of in her scary story. Given this theory, yeah I feel like Home could just as easily be a tulpa, since it's technically a neighbor too and came from the same imaginative source as everything else in the show.
I'm guessing either that or Home is actually the source of everything that's going wrong with the neighborhood and the show. I'm seeing a bit of an underlying theme of "house vs home," and how a seemingly cheery, happy place to be can actually have something toxic going on beneath the surface, the kind of thing that makes you feel unsafe in your own home.
It's also possible, since the show's creator stated that the themes of ableism are central to the project, that Eddie might just be having a panic attack, and everything being muffled, the heartbeat noise, everything seeming hot and melting, and Home's eyes staring down at him, contribute to Eddie feeling unsafe and scared. He spent the whole day anxious and worried that maybe his friends forgot about him, or don't need his help with the mail, and if he can't be the mailman, does he belong?
We don't have enough information yet to determine if Home or Wally are malignant entities, or if something is being done TO Eddie, or if the entire "horror" segment is just all in Eddie's head.
This feels like they’re purposely cutting Eddie out of the show due to him being queer and the relationship between him and Frank is more obvious and closeted. It’s also pushing Julie and Frank more. Have you guys noticed in this update they keep pushing Julie and frank but avoid frank and Eddie being in the same content now? Just like how America is now, it was worse back then with capitalism. If parents complained over queer content…characters were scrapped. :(

I think it was mostly showing Eddie suddenly regaining consciousness and memories but cut when the puppeteer aka Home takes control of him and brings him back into character and I have a theory that Wally or Home are the directors, Sally might've been a producer/puppeteer just like the rest of the cast who supposedly "disappear" and were doomed to live as the characters as some kind of Purgatory

Idk but I feel like Eddie might have like a physical aggressive breakdown. Bc ofc Eddie was NOT happy. Even though he later on gets included in the festivities, there’s still some pent up anger. Like yes thank you for doing all the deliveries but they could have told him that vs ghosting him. And he goes to the party and all he gets is a sing pea on a plate. All of his hard work and all he gets is a single pea on a plate (keep in mind all the other audios is the bug update where they blew Eddie off multiple times). At around 19:50 , I was confused at first like “why is there a red screen?”, but I think that’s Eddie is “seeing red” (being “emotionally stirred up with anger”) . Then it shows Eddie with some expression I can’t read and it then shows what I can make out as some baseball bats. Eddie can’t truly express himself bc all eyes are on him. Home is watching, the plate with the single pea is identical to an eye, plus the people are the party would stare to. Eddie cannot be himself even when he’s at Home.
Are we not going to acknowledge the fact that Howdy called the food "chips and sawdust"

I think over time the studio was losing funding, but they had to keep trying with these products/commercial deals to keep the lights on, but just barely. And the quality of these later ads shows that grim reality…

yeah, hes the only neibour who has no idea/doesnt remember where he came from. im thinking he doesnt want to be in the neighbourhood, idk its all so complicated. but frank is important, the way he was whispering and being concerned for eddie shows he knows somethings up and didnt want the others or wally/home to know. its strange
It's Just so interesting that what happens in he update (the homewarming book audio and special, Wally's Phone call, the ode to hibernation, the merch and the Howdy's family reunion) happens all in th same Day and the at the end it all comes together.
So in chronological order it goes a little like this:
1-Bug-a-bye and Goddnight, an ode to hibernation
2-Homewarming storybook
3-Eddie's intermitions at the same time (he doesn’t show up any time in the storybook)
4-Howdy's Hollyday Hullabaloo (that's why he's not at the party)
5-The Homewarming Special
Another fact it's that the Neightborhood update to what is happening in this stories. Howdy's shop has signs welcoming his family and celebrating Homewarming and Sally's house has a sign for Santa, when she says that you need to have awesome decorations to capt his atention.
It's like the show happens in real time and for us to know deppending on the season, plus characters starts to becmeinggmlre aware now that People outside kown that they're in Home

Something I haven’t seen anyone discuss is the fact that poppy isn’t there. In poppy’s description it says that for unknown reasons she wasn’t invited to Wally’s homewarming party, and in one of the last clips it says “finally, everyone was here”, but poppy isn’t there.

Holy shit. That was gut wrenching and legitimately disturbing. When the stuff with Eddie happened I felt like a vice gripped over my stomach. So I have 3 leading theories for what’s happening to Eddie.
1. Home is affecting him with its cauthlu like powers, maybe Home is upset with him, and is causing these affects on Eddie.
2. Eddie is begging to comprehend the reality around, notice how the shots switch between him being a puppet with live action settings, to then 2d art, and him looking into Home’s eye, as if Home is telling him and only him something, that he is just a puppet, a fictional character, being controlled by a person.
3. Eddie is being removed from the show, this is less likely, but in old concepts of the Welcome Home story there was supposed to be a puppet named Sunny that got removed from the show and all traces of him removed, but then he becomes a hero and tries to fix Home, what if due to dwindling popularity or controversy from his implied relationship with Frank Frankly, the show runners decides to remove him (I had a theory connecting to Happy Haunting and a Boo To Yours, that maybe the monsters Sally heard are the human cast members, and them “eating” neighbors, are actually them taking away and removing characters, that’s why she never mentions who these supposedly eaten neighbors are, because she can’t remember them, all she knows is that the neighborhood is much smaller then it used to be)

Eddie starting to see things in the real world, stuff is happening and its probably showing where things srarted going wrong
"The beginning of the end," I would say. I myself am trying to pinpoint what all happened in this update and which parts could be foreshadowing for the next time the website gets updated. Perhaps Eddie would start telling the others what he saw? I believe during the Halloween update is when things started getting set into place in terms of what is underneath the scenes. Back to Eddie seeing things from a different perspective, I believe that he might not appear in the next update.
