I am sooo glad I watched this wonderful movie!!! Marie played and looks ssssoop like her mother. I had a crush on Marie earlier in life. I am now 66 years old and Marie can still make my knees wobble when I see her. And it’s not the arthritis acting up on me either !!!! A very warm and sweet movie. I recommend any newly wed couples to watch how to disciples and LOVE unconditionally. No favorites. I’ve got four children and six grandchildren and I love all unconditionally and NO favorites. God bless all out there.🙏🏻❤

What a beautiful story to watch. Such a wonderful, kind, and loving family. I was impressed that they the Osmonds continued practicing and believing in God's righteous ways of life even though they became show business superstars over time.

I've been wanting to watch the movie where Marie Osmond played her mom. I haven't seen it since I was a kid and was going to look it up. Then it popped into my recommendations. I never said anything out loud. My phone is reading my mind, SCARY!!!🙀
I read that the reason the boys started singing together was to raise money to get their older brothers hearing aids. I don't know why that was changed for the movie, especially with the real Osmonds so involved in it!
Anyway, this was a nice movie. Thanks for the upload.💜

19:52 That phone does not have a coiled wire attached to it. Is that the way phones used to be in the 1940's or is it a prop error in the movie?
But also one thing that this movie does not make so clear is what Olive Osmond's dad did for a living so as to afford such a nice house with back yard and new looking furniture with a piano in the living room?
There is one part in the movie in which it seemed that Olive was saying that she had a family of 12 but after listening to the clip again and again it was apparent that she was saying that she lived next to a family of 12. So Olive was an only child too?
If her parents were Mormons that is unusual, having an only child. Nothing seems to be said in the movie about Olive having siblings.
Also, George Osmond was a baby when his dad died but what did his mom do until she married George's step-dad? What did George Osmond's step dad do for a living?
Was his mom and step dad devout Mormons? Did George Osmond just decide to become a Mormon even though his mom and step-dad might not have been?
In this movie George is depicted as saying or indicating that he had to work by the time he was in his early teens and had little time to be a kid because if he was not working he was doing chores. If George was "on his own" since the age of 15 then it seems that he either left home or was told to leave by his parents or by one of his parents. Reportedly George was thrown out by his step father. So then wouldn't his parents have been charged with child abandonment by child welfare authorities? Maybe child welfare did not exist back then? Maybe a 14 year old was considered old enough to be on his own in the 1930s? How could George just have survived in the streets or wandering the land though? Did he join the military at the age of 15? Did he stay with other relatives or friends? It is just curious.
There isn't that much information about George Osmond's life before he met Olive. Same about Olive.

George has always rubbed me the wrong way. Have enjoyed the Osmond's music for decades. I know it wasn't easy for the kids to adhere to a brutal schedule and not have much of a childhood. They've all paid the heavy price. Perhaps that's my problem with George.
