- Julia Stonecypher, a widow with two daughters, is struggling financially and faces eviction from the bank holding her mortgage. However, when the bank's vice president, Brian Harding, gets injured, he is forced to spend Christmas with Julia and her family. At first ungrateful, Brian is eventually won over by Julia's determination and the joyful atmosphere she and her daughters create.

Olivia had so many talents; singing, acting and beautiful. This is one of my favorite movies I also watch every Christmas. The Christmas "Stranger" who wanted to throw them out of their house, turned into a husband and daddy. Very beautiful story!
Olivia left us too soon. Such a natural talent with inner goodness so different to many today.
Great Movie ! We miss Olivia Newton John. She was an all rounder. She can sing & she was an good actors. I never though that she will live the world so soon. Very sad.😢

Here’s what I was thinking when I heard the little girl saying that her daddy was coming back to them as soon as could. My husband died with a brain cancer when he was 37 years old leaving me with 2 daughters, one 9 years old and the other 7 years old. Also a 5 year old son. I look over on my dresser at the last picture of my husband that I took. He was sitting at the breakfast table and I wanted to take his picture but he was a big tease and loved to tease me so he kept twisting his face away or covering his face up. I finally said, Sugar, quit fooling around and look at me like you love ❤️ me, so he did. And that was the same look he would give me when he had been somewhere and hadn’t seen me in awhile. That’s the look of pure love ❤️ and joy for getting to be with me and our kids again. So I looked over at that picture and thought, No, he wouldn’t want to come back here with us again. It’s too beautiful where he’s been for 49 years but he’s waiting for us to go to him. I’m 79 years old now. I never remarried and I live with my oldest daughter and my wonderful son-in-law. I call him the son of my heart ❤️. I’m blessed with 6 granddaughters and one grandson. Three great granddaughters with another on the way in April and three great grandsons. Everyone except two granddaughters and their husbands live within 15 or 20 minutes away from me. I’m truly blessed 😇 by living here. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

A Beautiful Old Fashioned Movie. We need more movies like these to show us the true meaning of Christmas. Olivia Newton John, Gregory Harrison & the two young actors played well. There's something about spending Christmas on a farm with animals, friends. Surrounded by Nature/Snow/Mountains! ❤❤

I saw this when i was in grade school and haven’t forgotten it. For years, i have been wanting to see it. Last year, to my surprise i saw it again via UA-cam but it was taken down. Seeing and watching it tonight is like a Christmas gift. Thank you.

I want to tell you all here a story about my daughter, a farmer's market, and Olivia. This is true. Before my family moved to the mountains of Idaho, we lived on an Island in Puget Sound in Washington. My daughter and I ran a small truck farm and we concentrated on selling raspberry-apple cider. Gradually we started selling at the town's farmer's market. My daughter, a teenager, wanted to do the selling and I would supply the juice.
This is her story. One day a blonde lady bought a gallon of our cider and Christie said, "You sure look a lot like Olivia Newton John," and got the reply, "I've been asked about that before." It was Olivia and later she and her husband were invited to our church and after the meetings, I talked to her about half an hour. That farmer's market experience is something she never forgot. She sent a picture of her and her husband that I still have. This happen probably around 1991 or 92.

Yes, if you see a woman Dashing in front of Olivia's truck it was me. My daughter was with her 'granny' getting the Xmas cake. Olivia was wonderful and her kids.

Oh Olivia …..I wholeheartedly agree with everything said in the comments. Nearly 2 years since she left us and I struggle to listen to her music….It really hurts ….songs like Amoureuse with those haunting lyrics sung with such passion and sensuality. I’m not sure why but I really thought she would beat the cancer and live on. She does of course, live on in our hearts but it’s just so very sad. I looked after her once on a flight to NZ. She was so lovely and I wanted to gush all over her but of course I didn’t but she invited me to sit with her at her seat. I did. How could I not? She said “call me Liv…all my friends do”. What a champion for compassion and kindness. Apparently she was good friends with Gregory Harrison having made this movie and It’s My Party, with him. We all keep Olivia alive with our memories and what we feel for her. Bless her and her family. X BB

Quite a few movies, you’ll find them via google. My favourite wasn’t a movie, but it’s on UA-cam. It was a live concert here in Australia called
*The Main Event, staring Olivia , with John Farnham and Anthony Warlow. It’s funny, heartwarming and terrific. They sing together or separately. Olivia is funny The backstage antics with all three performers behind the scenes is so funny. Dear Livy is so very much missed by so many. A beautiful woman with a beautiful heart.

Oh this is a great movie all except Daisy dieing. Olivia was my favorite entertainer when I was a teenager many moons ago. I thought I had seen all her movies but I had never seen this one. And Gregory Harrison is one of my favorite actors I watched him on Trapper John he is why I watched Trapper John. I live on a farm the lamb is not a newborn besides if it was it had to get first milk from its Mom for it to live.I absolutely love this movie. ❤
