Youre referring to the Push twice in SilverEfex? I like it or at least the structure it brings to the image. I am unable to look at straight digital images for some reason and I think it goes some way to keeping my entire folio more consistent.
@@mattbentley-walls3106 When you use SilverEfex in the push process no 12 the grain in skies is very heavy and unappealing. What you have show in your workflow is inspiring however. The structure is applied through clarity in SilverEfex as far as I understand.
@@lightcamera2521 No 12 Push 2 stops in SilverEfex automatically introduces structure whereas pushing 1 stop doesn't. I think I normally keep the structure that 2 stops gives me and lower the contrast. What you say about clarity maybe the case but No12 does have a Structure scale also which I know is automatically introducing the amount of structure I typically like. Normally I don't ever hit the clarity scale. When I shoot film I shoot 400 pushed to 1600 and over develop the developer. I use a very fine grain developer that means I don't ever get large porridge like grain.
@@mattbentley-walls3106 structure in SilverEfex is clarity. The grain in No 12 even with contrast pulled to 40 is very unnatural and excessive. I am agreeing that your method works and I am familiar with all conversions to black and white and had a darkroom 20 years ago
I bought myself a Konica iiia (with 48mm F2 lens) a few weeks ago It has always been a camera I wanted from what I read about it. It will be my primary camera. I want to restrict myself to it for at least a year. I think I will learn from the process. Before this I was using a Rollei 35 S. I was wondering if you ever restricted yourself to one camera, one lens?
Wow! Looks like a fantastic camera to explore. I've been shooting a Leica M10 & MP, almost alway the MP for the past 5 years now with a 50mm almost exclusively. Does that Count?
Hi Matt Using this method leaves the grain excessive especially in skies. This approach is very good.

I am noticing this especially in blue skies and white clouds seascapes and lanscapes.

Interesting looking camera. What drew your attention to it and how are you finding it; d'you have any pics back from it yet?
