- Do you want to know how to add crafting stations and research lab to ship in starfield. Go to a spaceport and view and modify your ship at the ship service technician. Then go to the builder and add to your ship. Then you can go to the habs tab and add the compartment with the crafting stations.

This is wrong..an Engineering bay is purely cosmetic. You need to add workshops to be able to craft and modify your gear.
And how do we do that?

Exactly. You need to go to Sol system and find Deimos station near a planet, there are workshops there, I'm trying to find other specific ones just to be sure and this video is just plain wrong.

I added an engineering hab to my ship but it is nowhere to be found. I hate that in a space game the most frustrating gameplay involves space and your ship.

You have to make sure you properly connect the habs to an airlock/door. For me my grav drive was in the way so i had to move it.

Engineering bay and armory are useless. Infirmary and workshop gets you most of the crafting.
That’s because the video is useless, you need to add workshop HABS.
I have an engineering station on my shieldbreaker, and there's no crating stations. I really wish the in game tooltip when you hover mouse over a build piece actually told us what was in that piece, instead of just saying the same generic stuff for each one.
To be honest i think its classed locked. class Bs will have one thing Cs will have everything cause i have a class A infirmary and people on reddit are saying it has the pharamacuitcal lab and the research station and it has neither. so I'm thinking its based on Class.

Its also insanely stupid bethesda thought it was a good ideal. because now if you rebuild your starter ship at all You lost the only research station obtainable on your ship with out higher class.

Detach whatever parts you have blocking your placements. I am doing it with the Star Eagle and placed an all in one box on top where ladder is. After you place the box, re attach parts like shield and dockbay to the top of box and all will work.

Engineering bays don't add crafting. Which bays add crafting? You forgot to put that in your video about adding bays that have crafting to your ship.

Nah, as @csh5414 said, you need workshops to have the stations inside and they are not accessible in any place (so far I've seen not even in Outposts that have all parts that are not unique). You need to go to Sol system to find the Deimos station for their workshop. At least that seems to be the only way. Was trying to find if there was some other easier way.
You can go to the crimson fleet base. They have them too

You can..you need to learn how to play. Don’t blame the game. The help section in game explains it pretty clear..user error is your issue.
which hab has the research station in it? workshop has space suits, weapons, and industrial benches
