Thank you! This is super helpful. My son relocated to Fishers earlier this year and he loves it! I am actually relocating to that area myself soon. It's good to get a drone's eye view of the place!
Fishers also is building a highly inclusive community. Since 2016 we have had the Fishers Advisory Committee on Disability. In 2017 we were awarded the Governor’s Council Champions of Inclusion Award. Our committee is now codified within the city and sets standards even across the country for those with physical and intellectual disabilities. We are close to the deaf school and have a strong deaf community. Our schools are known for the Exceptional Learners Program for kids with special needs. Because our buildings are very new throughout the city, we have built accessibility in. We host March Disability Awareness Month with events that Accommodation, Educate and Celebrate our citizens with unique abilities. We are focused on the future in Housing, Transportation and Employment of anyone with a disability. Keep your eye on us! We welcome you!
Summer of 2020. This video is pros and cons of Fishers in 2020 as the title states. Still plenty of construction in the downtown area. Of course that will change as the next couple of years pass.
Gavin, We do have some projects coming up and construction will continue. For Motorsports fans watch for the Andrettis to move their corporate headquarters to town. In addition, a new Life Science campus is bringing world class businesses together for scientific advancements. And, just announced is the Indy Fuel Hockey Team will be building its new stadium right near Top Golf and IKEA. We are building in industry, entrepreneurial opportunities and sports right here 20 minutes north of Indianapolis!
Just bought a house in Indy and looked here, I'd say Fishers is okay. The shopping is good, but mostly strip malls and big box stores, and the traffic was intense for a suburb like he said. The downtown area is walkable and some nice restaurants, but we realized we were looking for something with more of a cultural flavor. Ended up liking Irvington, Broad Ripple, and the Butler area for the beautiful neighborhoods, landed in Irvington and we really like it.
Nice! Irvington is very cool and unique. the other areas you mentioned also have a deeper cultural feel than Fishers. It's going to take quite a long time for Fishers to mature like those areas.
This is a place I’m looking forward to living in the future.

actually, I don't know when the heck you took those videos. But there's not as much construction downtown now, as there was in the videos.
