@@JC-qf1jd yes, I live on a corner plot on a hill and I had my front garden which wraps around the front and side going all the way to the end of my back garden completely changed. It was steeply sloped so I had it reconstructed onto 3 levels. I also used sleepers horizontally but I had them embedded into my lawn so I can walk from one level to the next while cutting the lawn with my mower. Top level is flower beds, middle all lawn, lower a mixture of both lawn and flower beds. Plus footpath from garden gate and driveway. Because of the expense it was done in stages but well worth it. I get many compliments on how unusual it is having the sleepers rise out of the lawn and then sink back into the lawn the other side of the house. I chose a landscaper I knew well, he was quite expensive compared to others in my area but I knew he did exceptional work. 🙂

Not everyone wants the work of tending and weeding huge gardens, please show us the finished project after you plant. I can't wait to seenthe rest!😊
Top notch work. It's especially nice to see the French drain and that you left a small strip of gravel right next to the house. Shows that you understand the drainage of a sloped yard. The remodel itself is great, but those details mean that it'll still look like that 20 years from now. Great job!

What a beautiful transformation! A lot of sweat went into that makeover, but the results are stunning! Who wouldn't want a backyard paradise like that! Awesome!!!
Several different, usable spaces were created out of what was convenient for the original housebuilding. Having French doors open onto a side path that has to be followed to gain access to the much higher garden level us far from convenient. I suspect the new layout let's a lot more light into the house too, besides making a better view out than a brick wall. Mulch and sprinklers save a lot of ongoing maintenance. Personally, I'm slowly pulling out the couch grass in my garden for pretty ground cover that doesn't need regular mowing. Irish moss for playing on, chamomile for lounging near the washing line. Life is too short to waste 3 hours with a hovermower on high maintenance grass. You've done a great job on the structure and basics. In a couple of years when flowering shrubs and such are in and thriving it will be wonderful. Probably added a good 25k to the house too. We'll done. #Great job.

Absolutely incredible ! Looks beautiful … what I love is that you have seeded real grass and not that crap fake rubbish ! Also doesn’t look like those tacky “Love Island” make overs … this is a proper garden
The top soil removed was not good. The good stuff was saved for levelling the lawn. However the good stuff was taken away to be screened for reuse for someone else

The amount of hard labour that you have put in does credit to you.I love the split level garden and the way you have created the steps. That patio area! Actually I am blown away by this.My garden is very different to yours.I have high trees on two sides that are a haven for local bird life but outside my garden,and my neighbours gardens, the surrounding area consists of an industrial estate.My trees give me privacy and hidden awayness, if there is such a term, that is quite magical to me. Choose your plants carefully please.Scents are wonderful.Honeysuckle attracts bees.Things like that.I do envy you your lawns but I know the amount of work that goes into them to keep them neat and I am lazy.I have transformed my paths and patio with welsh state and I had to rebuild my patio in order to do it.One man and stubbornness.. Enjoy your garden.It deserves you.
